  • Some OI bridge action from summer 2020. The first year on the new bridge was incredible, both size and numbers were ridiculous, lots and lots of 2-4 pound fish, and typically at least one fish at or above the 8 pound mark on any given day. The bridge gets a lot more sheepshead pressure now than it did then, so fishing isn't quite as good, but there are still plenty of sheepshead to be caught.

Dude you’re right. It’s hard not to enjoy a sheepshead. They’re pretty easy to fillet too once you get used to em.
    Their teeth are wild.
Looks like y’all had a really nice time out there! Nice fishing. I’m sure some nice eating too

I mean sure you have to re-bait quite a bit when using sand fleas but if you're not catching fish when using them, you're doing something wrong. Plus, sand fleas are easy to get pretty much everywhere at OBX.

You're a pretty good sheepshead fisherman. You're totally wrong about sand fleas though. I've caught two 14 pounders and a ton around 9-10. On sand fleas. Crabs work too, but there's anothet bait thats better than any of these.

May I ask where you guys get the bait?

All the bait you see us fishing with is gathered in the Outer Banks. We've accumulated several spots over the years to find bait but if I gave them out on RUclips they wouldn't have bait for us to use anymore.
