great review man thanks vm. Im doing quite a bit crossfit including some short runs and sprint say around a mile. If price is not the concern here, which one would you pick between nobull trainer+ and the metcon turbo 2 please?
I am always wary of the sewn in straps holding the laces compared to river holes. I have had so many shoes like that fail in the exact same spot when using that lace system.
Excellent in-depth review as always! If my normal training shoe size is 10.5US, got the original trainers in 11US, would you recommend the trainer+ in 10.5 or stick to 11 like the original trainers?
In the process of becoming a fire fighter and for academy looking for new training shoes. We never know what the workout of the day will be, typically a mix of CrossFit, body weight circuits or long runs. I’ve looked into the GoRuck ballistics and might be leaning towards these.. any thoughts?
If the primary purpose was outdoor workouts on concrete, sandbag work and rucking workouts... which one would work best between the trainer and trainer+?
Will you be getting your hands on the Court Trainers? Brooke Wells has been wearing them, so I'm curious whether she's just got them on for sponsor money or if they're actually any different from the Trainer+ for crossfit
I found that the biggest difference was with big lifts-when catching a snatch or clean I felt that my feet would rock forward due to the upward contour of the toe. Made lifting kinda scary 😂
One comment that I didn't quite agree on, I feel like the Trainer + is WAY more comfortable for all day wear. I'm 240lbs and I also have a leg injury from my time in the military though so I'm a lot more sensitive to my shoes. I have to wear special inserts with my regular trainer and with the trainer + I don't have to and I was able to walk around 6 flags all day with the family and loved wearing the trainer + and felt a lot cooler. Granted it's hot in TX and my trainer + shoes are white and the original trainers are clay so the darker color could be the reason they get hotter in all day wear compared to the white. I get hot feet though so I'm not sensitive to that. I'm a hands down trainer + fan and will get the gray pair for a second pair. I do feel like the original trainers are easier to get on and I'm wondering if that's because of the lace system. The original's felt more roomy on the top of my foot but maybe that's from the way I laced it compared to the trainer +. I think if I was in my early 20's with lower BMI and no injuries, I'd have a different perspective more similar to yours. For reference, when I get running shoes, I get annoyed because I always have to get the bulkier shoes because I over pronate and need that stability. Also, 100% agree with the finish needing to be cleaned up. Hoping later this year they figure it out make it look sharp and more finished
@@GentlyThicc yes but he made it sound like it's negligible. "might notice" is understating in my opinion. It's like saying jeans vs snow pants will both keep you warm, "you might notice that snow pants keep you warmer than jeans". You will for sure notice haha. Even if you're not bigger, you should notice the cushion difference which to me is probably the biggest upgrade. I think that's why I think his review is missing so much. It's a 15 second breeze past one of the major differences between the two shoes. You'll feel that cushion for jumps and other impacts. Unless you put your shoes on for a workout and are sitting the whole time, you'll notice a difference.
Have you used your custom insoles with the trainer+? do they fit fine? I overpronate too and have to wear custom insoles as well. Let me know if for example in training sessions is not that required to use the custom insoles and its more for long day use-
@@RodovalPTY I do not put my custom inserts in the + models. I don't run in them very far either though. I just had a 5 day conference where I was standing most of the day, walking around down town and on my feet around 14 hours per day and I'm so glad I had my trainer+ shoes.
@@RodovalPTY it would be a bit tight with inserts too. You'd probably have to remove the original footbed and loosen up the laces quite a bit. Original setup fits like a glove
I don't really have one in particular. I thought Metcon 7's were best before these, but I just use whatever old beat up shoe to do my rope climb workouts in.
On your feet, you don't seem to notice it as much. I have the same thought when I take them off, but once I'm wearing them, it seems the pressure towards the toes remove it.
Great review as usual. Congratulations on the PR's. Thank you for including those.
Thank you! I was waiting for this review. I think you covered it all. Cheers.

Great review! Thank you! Are you planning on reviewing the Runner+ soon?

Which one do you think is better Trainer + or the Goruck balistic trainers?
Amazing reviews my brother!!
Thanks my man!

Stick to the 11's
Phenomenal review

What shoes are good for training abd running that you would recommend? Would like to keep as flat-footed as possible
Can you do a review of the Nobull knit runners?

Interested in this as well. Maybe not full review but maybe compare and contrast?
May you make a video on how to do triple unders
great review
I had pork ribs dropped on my black nobull trainers. How can I clean them?

At like 4:00 did he say that if you’re a heavier person you might notice the increased cushioning more?

They need to restock on sizes!
Nobull is Noexistant in my country but nevertheless a 👍 for the review. : )
i want to get the plus but they sell out fast
What would say if I have the trainers and love them but looking for one more geared towards lifting?
Metcon 7s or these

The creasing in the midsole looks terrible. :(

Can you run 3 miles with no problems in trainer +
that sole is way to thick... not much breathability with these either.
Great review. But these nobulls are so ugly.
toooo expensive for a simple ass shoes,
Agreed. Garbage shoes
