I guess I have to add my two cents; it’s not a hoarder house. I have to say that my house, my son’s houses, and none of my previous houses had a lot of lighting. You buy lamps.
@@thehocketthome we laughed about our grandmother washing and keeping all her Styrofoam. They lived in a time of reuse and recycle. Tee-hee, it's a great depression generation
Well, don’t forget to subscribe so that you can see what we decided to do, even if you don’t like it 😆. We’re sharing the whole journey of flipping and renovating this house.
So jealous, I would love to do that. My friend is doing the exact same thing/same situation..the place had as much stuff as yours and I helped clear it out..then we hosted garage sales. It is really fun..a lot of work, but fun!
We did clear two 26 foot moving trucks of stuff and over 20 contractor bags of trash before filming. And I wouldn’t call it extreme hoarding but definitely hoarding.
My mom passed 2 yrs ago . Her home was a hoarder home . I pulled out most of the valuables that I could sell on eBay then kept some of the furniture. We sold it with the leftovers
This is not a hoard the elderly person left there after their children moved on and took none of the rubbish with them, obviously they were not in good health and able to empty it themselves. Very sad that they had no support,I’m sure you toured the house and got a great price so no point whinging about the contents
That’s actually not the story of this house: we got to know the owner fairly well and did a lot to help him. We got a great price and he got a fair deal.
Oh I'm so glad I discovered your channel. As a thrifter, it would be exciting to me to buy a house that includes all the contents. We homeschooled our five kids. They are all grown and young adults now. Keep at it Mom. Cheering for you as we grow our channels. Looking forward to watching your journey. Subscribing.
I think fixing up your own house and flipping a house are two totally different animals. Things will take longer than you think and cost double too! And don't paint the brick!!!!
You sure missed an opportunity to make money. You could have sold quite a bit of that stuff you call 'junk". People buy almost anything. I once sold a bunch of jar lids---no, no jars, just lids. An estate sale, a garage sale, ebay, many ways and it would have brought in money for the reno. The items like the cleaning products alone - people buy that stuff. Some of the furniture was vintage and some antique. You missed a chance for profit. Even those Styrofoam containers could have been sold.
You bought something most people wouldn’t think twice about. Do whatever you want to it. Don’t listen to the negative Nellie’s. I’m hooked! 😊😊😊
You’re going to love the next videos! We have so many fun surprises!

That is not a hoarders home. That is a home that someone has lived a lifetime.
We threw away about 1000 blue styrofoam containers we found still in the bags in the attic….

Exactly. I feel like we are trying to add a whole lot of theatrics... 😏
I'm almost lost for words. Hearing you calling happily we're about to paint the bricks.
Oh my word 🙄

I hope you kept that metal doll house that was seen in the garage lower left.
We did not. I saw it, but was not interested. We just want to be house flippers, not thrifters. Thanks for the comment!
That's not really a HOARDERS house. It's cluttered, but by definition of "hoarder" this isn't one.

can't wait to see the saga unfold!
I feel sorry for the previous owner and anyone who loves her, listening to you trashing her. Trim bushes, for Pete’s sake.

We're so glad you found us too! We’re new to RUclips, and looking forward to growing with you!
Cool!
What was the most shocking part of the house?? For me it was the crazy electrical under the sink!
the coffee table that was there is mid century it's worth money.
The previous owner asked for it. I thought it was cool though !!
An inspection should have showed the “creative” wiring under the sink. Looks like a fire hazard
It is common with flips to buy it as is without an inspection. And it’s given us some great content 🤣
Well, I think I pass. Ripping out the bushes.
🤣🤣 thanks for watching the first 6 minutes

It's true, you could make money on almost anything - but we're not interested in being thrifters.
@@thehocketthomeNot interested in making money, that is. You could have sold it all to someone who is.
Both of the toy houses in the garage are worth reselling
We sold them to a group of guys who cleaned out the garage for us. I’m sure they’ll be happy about that!
don't paint the brick
Too late! We already did 😬😳! Tune in next video to check it out. Whether you love it or hate it, it’ll be a great video 😆
I’m out.
