I definitely see what you mean when you campare it to the tigers eyes! The carnelian pendant 4 bubbles dont reflect light as well. It looks fuzzy/blurry and not a clear reflection like the tiger eyes. Its just not as sparkly! You should return what doesnt spark joy

I think you 100% have point in all of this. When we spend our hard earned money on a luxury item, it should be pristine. I got my first LV bag for my birthday this year (the Diane bag) and was so shocked and disappointed when I saw that the leather at the front of the bag had somehow peeled. I only wore it 5 times at that point and I was so careful with it. Long story short, they agreed to repair it and had it in their possession for longer than I owned it, and they tried to charge me for it! Not to mention that the gold hardware looked tarnished so quickly as well. I really like Van Cleef (and other luxury brands) but after the LV experience, I would literally look at everything under the microscope 😂 How can we trust these brands if they don’t provide the quality 😢 Love your videos btw 😊❤

Good, because the reflection of my black camera in the 4 bubble's is very dark/black on the tiger eye pendant, and on the carnelian, the black camera is not reflected or is blurry and light. I'm so happy you don't see the issue. Thanks!
I really love your Necklace and congratulate you on getting the real thing. Tbh I love the design and think it’s really cute. I think its still not worth the money, I got my 18K gold replica from Saudi gold shop, it looks the same. It’s crazy how much is paid for the brand name. For this money, quality should be perfect.

While watching your video, I need to take my magnifying glasses to check my VCA pieces now😂 You know one of my sweet pendants keeps getting stuck on the chain. I figure the loop has some issues but I don’t want to bother getting it repaired at VCA. I agree with you, they need to improve their quality for the price we pay.
Oh, that would also bother me... But both of my sweet pendants do that. When you relax the chain and lift one end or the other, while keeping it relaxed (as if it were on your neck) instead of pulling on both ends, the pendant will move, and once you stretch it will get stuck like mine. Try it, I'm curious.. Thank you
@@SibyllaMirage the thing is my other sweet necklace is perfectly fine as the pendant moves smoothly and never get stuck. I checked the ones they have at the boutique and they don’t stuck so im guessing it’s quality issue.

Thank you for being honest on your review, after purchasing 4 pieces of VCA (the Alhambra collection). I feel like VCA Alhambra is being overpriced for the quality and the stones value that they offer. Honestly, I do NOT feel luxury when shopping at VCA at all, compared to shopping at Carrier or Tiffany's. On top of that, the packaging and wrapping at VCA does not feel luxury as Cartier or Tiffany's. Buying at VCA you don't really have the option to choose for the perfect stone, the right color, the perfect quality etc. If I'm spending a fortune, I'm expecting to have some choices to choose from. We all know we are paying for the name but I expect the value and the quality to be aligned with the price.

I returned my Alhambra Carnelian pendant last week. I decided to save that money for a 10 motif necklace instead - not sure which stone or material yet.
Only you know what you need the most, you made the right decision :)

Hi S. Can I ask why after only owning your brand new neck piece for 4 days you can’t take it back to VCA? I am just curious. I took several long looks at it, and I know you see what you see, but I jus think that VCA may be starting to skimp on the amount of gold they put in certain places. However, I would not return it. I would keep it because the stone is so pretty and you have waited so long to find that particular shade of deep red. You had a great experience with the SA and I still believe you were meant to have it. Please keep it because the only thing I “think” I may see is just a tiny bit of less gold in the 4 corners; but not enough to return it. It will be your loss. When others look at it they are not going to see what you see, they will just be drawn to the color of the stone. I hope this helps and I would mention it the next time you are in the store again. Please enjoy it because it really is quite beautiful. I hope you feel better soon.❤

I bought my mom a carnelian vintage pendant in July and I noticed the chain feels lighter compared to older models. I don’t know if I’m crazy or something, but compared to my old pendants.
You are correct. I made a whole video about that called "Van Cleef Quality Issues NOW Unboxing Alhambra Necklace..." That's the video for which people told me I was wrong, because I didn't provide the pictures, but there was no way to capture anyway, since I'm talking about the sweet ones, but I talk about what you noticed.
I bought a mother of pearl vintage necklace a few weeks ago and I definitely noticed the chain feels lighter than my other VCA necklaces.

I understand how you feel when we spend this kind of amount for a piece that is not cheap we expect it to be perfect. I can't accept any flaw on an expensive item too... I think that's the standard that they should keep up with the branding. Like what you say some really took a long time to save up for 1 jewelry and in the end it's not a good pcs. That's such a disappointment.

Maybe I'm blind but I don't see what you're seeing. I guess that's good--most people will not notice what you are seeing if you are wearing the item. By the way, Carol Chan just posted a video about the quality issues with her Lotus earrings. The WG was darker on one earring than another. I know another woman whose SO WG hammered necklace also had some oxidizing issues. I really think that now the demand is so high, the quality is starting to suffer. This seems to happen to lots of popular brands nowadays sadly.
Thank you :) Only look at the reflections in the 4 larger bubbles on both pendants. The tiger eye ones have a sharp dark spot in the reflection (that's my black camera reflecting), and the carnelian ones are completely blurry/fuzzy. I agree, unfortunately..
Sib I’m rocking with you, however it’s very hard to tell, as for me even if no one can tell as long as I’m aware of the issue it will continue to bother me until I exchange or sell and rebuy which ultimately is costly.

it's natural stone, every piece will be different and there in lies the beauty imo of natural stones - i've gone back + forth on same stones trying to decide which one like best and have a loupe app on iPhone, lol - it's hard to see on video but if you are not happy, absolutely go back and show them, who knows if they even remember and if a defect I'm sure they will help you!

I suggest contact costumer service and send it away for a check up, you still have a warranty for the product and they should change it if its quality issue.

I can’t see it based on your video but maybe u can bring it back to show the SA? I recently bought the MOP but regretted it so I went back after a day to exchange knowing the policy is store credit or exchange only. But the SA was willing to give me a refund coz I returned quickly. This is the 2nd time I got my refund at VCA so I know they are willing to give exception depending on the situation. IMHO, If it bothers u much, bring it back.

I agree that every piece should be perfect, but if it’s not visible, I would keep it. And don’t get me started on LV. Had a bag where the canvas cracked, store told me they don’t fix canvas. The lock on my Speedy also tarnished. I tried everything and nothing works.

@@SibyllaMirage exactly, especially when it was a design flaw that caused the cracking. They make canvas bags in designs they know will crack the canvas, but then say they’re not responsible for it cracking. Great customer service🙄

I don’t see the issues that you mentioned with your piece but I can relate to expecting a perfect piece given the huge amounts of money that they charge. I think it’s worth speaking to your SA about it - if you don’t ask, you don’t get!
For myself personally, I think I’ve finally hit my limit with luxury jewellery. There will always be pieces that I lust over but whether I pull the trigger or not is another story.

They will polish them if I bring it in, but spending time on something that shouldn't have happened to begin with is a lot of work. I wish it was perfect..

Hahaha you make me laugh! I wore it out of the boutique in front of him, so that goes against their policy, but I will wear it as is, and maybe later try to polish them with a gold polishing cloth myself. I'm just afraid I might scratch the stone with it, so maybe I'll slip something around the bubbles to protect it, and rub :(
I’m curious what would be appropriate for their return policy? Do you try your piece on in the store and then have them wrap it in a box vs wearing it out?
If you leave the store with it on, that's yours forever, unless it's a faulty item, but having experienced how they dismiss anything wrong with their pieces, I will save myself the headache. They even deemed the cracked mop in my earrings as "up to their standard", which happened when I tried to replace the mop motifs paying for the repair in full. They sent them back to the boutique 5 times without repairing them, until the issue was escalated to the main repair manager.
Just because others don’t know it, it will still be on your mind when you wear it and it will make you 😡 mad.

I have small sweet Alhambra pearl earrings I have difficulty wearing them Bc every time I do they make my ears bleed . I called vca and they mailed me some little plastic circles to wear with them. Anybody else have same issue

I think you're right they're too thick for my holes when I wear my pearls nothing everything is fine. I haven't tried wearing them with plastic circles . I'll wear them again and see if it does it again I'll ask them . Thank u so much😊
You're welcome, those are a little thick, and it's common for customers to request thinner posts. They will send them out, and hopefully you will be able to wear them every day :)

aww I saw it after pausing your video, it is definitely not perfect cut compare to your tiger eyes' one. I've been wanting a carnelian-gold bracelet from them and been saving up for it, guess I had to reconsider about it and get other pieces instead.

These are not special that is why they are dyed, heated , etc before they can be used in jewelry as intended (that’s the industry standard). And they are not handmade lol. Well, VCA should be forthcoming and define handmade. I do understand your disappointment and I am not discounting your feelings. I’d feel the same for things that I’m passionate about. Just understand that “luxury” as a whole is not always true.

It’s OK. We like what we like even though the industry is rather scammy, if you think about it. The gemstones are not usable as mined from the earth and those that are are so rare only the ultra wealthy can have them. And you know what? It’s fine. There’s nothing wrong with that because the miners wouldn’t have their livelihood if they discarded undesirable stones. We consumers should be aware to protect ourselves from scammy behavior coming from boutiques not disclosing how the gemstones are treated first. The mall shops scammy behavior is worse so I won’t even go there.

Vca pieces are not handmade. I am just more selective when it comes to my next purchase. I am ok with the pieces not being handmade because the machine will make everything more uniform. That's why you see the perfect lining up of all the diamonds in a row.
