beautiful imagery, good message, but I do hope you know that the Inupiaq people are much further north. Katmai area is Suqpiat. Also, this area is not untouched by humans. Native peoples called this area home until the 1912 eruption led to their unfortunate evacuation, but there are still home sites, grave sites, and there are families who still go home to visit... I just want to make sure we don't erase the people from the land...
so glad this story went from macro to micro. and communicated so well with the expert and bioaccumulation animation. hard to communicate. nice job max.
Really great film about a real annoying problem. Love the artworks produced as well. I've literally just bagged up a load of old shoes of mine and my partners and genuinely wonder what happens to them once they're in the recycling bin or charity shoe collection. I fear they will end up in places like this. Well done on highlighting this issue and the team for getting to one of the most remote beach cleans you can do.

The reason is always the consumistic model of capitalism that diversified the products in order to make it more desirable or creating a need in the consumer, leading us to buy more and more products even if we don't need to, just because it's fashionable or has a better feature.

This is inspiring - what is the best way we limit our footprint? What is Normal doing to limit their footprint?

Thanks so much for your message. Could you please send us an email to info@nnormal.com?
Where's the human that owned the shoe? Did a bear get them? But seriously....crikey, the amount...it's just staggering😢
