I've moved away from these two brands and now use the Aleana Hand.
Also be aware that some people are having issues getting their Liz Tanner hand delivered in an adequate and fair delivery time.
I love what I am using now.
The brand is Aleana, and it is a portugese company with knowledge also of prostetics.

Hi there. I just wanted to say this was a great impartial review. I would like to explain why my hands are heavier. First if you look at how much more wrist I have than Red Iguana and the fact I use a much more dense and durable silicone. It's a give and take... customers asked for longer wrists. I also wanted to solve the problem of people ripping their cuticle areas...since changing my silicone I haven't had anyone message me or send them back for repairs (that was a relief). Also...I wanted the canals to be tighter and if you use the Long Sqaure nails I sell and highly recommend, slide them in all the way then they stay put. Hope that helps explain. 😘😘. Oh, as far as the clamp...you have to put a loop into it in order for it to hold the hand up or most people rest it on a wrist rest. It's nice because you can twist the hand any way you want while working...if that makes sense. Again...you are very lovely and really this was an awesome review!

I think it’ll be difficult for glamerliz to make the fingers longer as the mold she uses is her actual hand so the fingers are the size of her fingers in real life. I own a glamerliz hand I was fortunate to get one for $80 from someone who no longer wanted it. It’s in the color Naomi and I feel that her skin colors have improved since her first version. I think for students who want to practice I recommend the single fingers. I am actually planning on buying the fingers in all the colors she offers. Her hands are the most realistic IMO but the full hands are too heavy and the clamp she offers can’t really handle the weight of it either so it collapses easily. I find myself not using it bc of the weight and when I do use it I find my nails slide off a lot so I have to keep pushing them back in. I also don’t use the thumb a lot. So again I think the best investment is the half hand or single fingers. Having the single fingers in all the skin tones is a great way to show what certain colors look like on different skin tones.

Yes! That is a good idea with the different color fingers to see how colors pair!

I agree. I own the full hand and it's just way to heavy and like you said the hand just falls to your table with the clamp. It's a beautiful hand but way to awkward and heavy to use for practice. My hands start killing me.

Thanks - it's nice to see them side by side for comparison.
Another option is FlexiFinger out of Australia. Much more reasonably priced and really gorgeous hands and now she has feet too! Size is more comparable to Red Iguana and she doesn't bother with the full hands, as you said, they are really just extra weight. Her new Luxe Collection also gives you the option of a custom colour, gitter inclusion and even glow in the dark!
And if you can't tell, I love mine!

I received my full glamerliz hand right before she changed up the silicone quality and after half a dozen uses (no filing) the middle finger split down one side. Liz would not repair! Also, a problem for me was curing... I prefer to leave my lamps stationary and it is a real pain to move the hand each time. I went with rediguana fingers in 3 shades and love using them. Thanks for your in-depth review!

After 1 yr of purchasing my full hand only using my red iguana no more then 5x, upon taking out my hand out of the original pink box I realized that one finger had the cuticle are ripped almost down to the knuckle area. I am now regretting buying it after all its not a cheap investment. I hope that you have better luck . Now I’m wondering if I should have waited & gone with the new upgraded silicone version of glamor Liz .

I have own both hand and honestly I like the red iguana hand more it really just come down to the weight and the price I’m not trying to get carpool tunnel lol 😂 But I do like how tight the tunnel are on glammerliz hand there’s really no need to glue on the nail,

I own 2 red iguana hands the full hand as shown in the video and the half hand with 4 fingers. I like the half hand better as it is not so heavy and for me working on the thumb is so uncomfortable on the hand. Thinking about getting a few fingers now.

Paola after months of researching and going back and forth between the Glamerliz or Red Iguana hand, I finally decided on the full size non poseable unpainted hand with hole and clamp from Glamerliz ($220 total). I too ordered right before she moved and it did take 3 months to receive. That being said, I was still very excited but upon receiving it and testing it, I have switched back to a regular plastic hand. The weight was too much and it was awkward trying to hold the fingers to do any type of work. My fingers and hands would start hurting. Her hands are amazing none the less but if you just want to practice and dont need it for photos I would make a different choice.

Yes, the weight is really much, for the purpose. But the craftsmanship is fine, we both agree. Can totally be downside a tad bit for improvement.

Ok upon watching, thank you so much for the in depth critique. I think so far I haven’t heard the complaint about weight and until now was interested in the more expensive pair. However; the macro photo of those rhinestone French tips look SO REALISTIC 👀👀

I own the Red Iguana hands, without thumbs lol and I'm happy I chose that option, as I feel most of us do work primarily on and take pics of the fingers. Red Iguana offered the Afterpay option, which was helpful, too. I definitely want to purchase the silicone finger, next!

This is kind of random but I just want to say - your hands would be a perfect model for a silicone hand! Like they are hand model material, 100%. =P Red iguana or Glammerliz should pay you for a mold of your hand. XD

I just bought a rediguana hand for my daughter and two weeks after being used (her 3 times) the middle finger pop off the spring.
I been sending email ( they don’t have a phone number to connect directly) for the past week and no luck!
So FYI be careful when purchasing the red iguana!!!
I payed $200 and she has to work with a broken finger 🤨

Yeah, the metal wiring inside can be fragile. Especially, if forced into unnatural poses. She does have a warning about that.
Hopefully they can get back to you with an answer. I know they just moved to a new warehouse, so that may be why they are also slow in response.

She naturally speaks this way with less airflow behind her words, most people find it soothing sounding. I have noticed some people also tend speak softly on video, especially on voiceovers. But, I can see where you might think she is recording at a late hour and trying to be quiet.
