Very educating topc on Down Syndrome and Autism. I had a nephew who had suffered from Autism and Down syndrome. He was forty-eight years old when he died. He was very intelligent but could not do a lot of things without help like walking, self care and eating properly. He had a great memory for his collection of movie DVDs and timings for car rides but could not operate anything himself Unfortunately his parents did not send him to special schools because of frequent postings. Some schools were not fully trained to look after such cases.
When posted in Army stations the parents looked after him very well with counseling from doctors. In today's world prenatal care and ultra sounds and other investigation is very important and a good family support is very important where everyone is educated and counseling done by qualified professionals.
Children are the colours that make this world beautiful.
In india there are very few ppl who know about proper parenting, most of the Parents are unknowingly abusive to thier children and a big hindrance in Children realising their true potential.
All the Parents need to be educated about parenting if we want to stop children from getting abused in their own homes by their own parents.
