This is why I'm subscribed to vice. I'm so stoked on this series. You guys are honestly amazing (when you want to be) and for that I thank you! Now let's go Kurds!!!!!
666j1 I love their war reports, but their domestic coverage is complete garbage. I hope they focus more on war journalism, since very few others seem interested in doing it.
For the first time, the YPG now finds itself in almost total control of Hasakah, with the regime squeezed into the central government district and IS cornered in the city's southern outskirts. VICE News secured exclusive access to YPG fighters as they cleared southern Hasakah of Islamic State militants. Watch: The Girls Who Fled To Syria: Groomed By The Islamic State - bit.ly/1IQ374T
VICE News Yeah Vice News, like Sazzad habib said bellow, why don't you send a reporter to Governmental areas? You've been with the YPG, the Islamic Front assholes, and others. Do that, please.
I've studied war and conflict almost all my life. War and killing is a horrible thing. It is rare for me to look at people who have died in war and not think 'what a waste' or 'this shouldn't happen to a human being' but when I see dead IS members I feel no emotion, no compassion at all. Their contempt for humanity has in my mind excluded them from from being categorised as human beings.
RenovatioJuris That is something dangerous to say because it will invite to a good/evil story while the truth is more complicated. I despise and hate da'esh (IS) like everyone else, but don't forget that every human being has it's own backstory to his or her life. We don't know specifically who are the devils that murder innocent people and who are sheep that followed the rest. I hope you understand my nuance.
RenovatioJuris I actually had the same exact thought when i watched this. Normally mutilatet corpses tend to get me a little uneasy but when it´s those fucking stone age fascists, i say do the worst you can to them.
Barmeester Hi thanks for the comment I agree completely and appreciate your nuance. As I said its extremely rare for me to think this way and certainly wouldn't be my way of thinking regards loss of life in other Middle-East conflicts. My mind would usually reserve such classifications for the deaths of individuals such as Hitler or Stalin. I thinks its worthy of more introspective consideration to question my analysis. Cheers.
collin ohlinger They are communalist, inspired from the workings of murray bookchin. They have direct democracy, self-governance, and a mostly collectivized economy which is only being collectivized more. They are creating communism in the shell of the old society while fighting against an ideological opposite. Social democrats are reformist - in other words, twiddle de dum twiddle de do.
collin ohlinger I don't know where the hell you are getting your information, but thats just simply false.. you have not actually done any study on Rojava what so ever, and you are coming up with shit right out of your ass.
Sazzad habib Syrian army is pretty much open to any agencies that want to interview with them but VICE wouldn't do that because of their Saudi/Zionist agenda
Sazzad habib they are open to western journalists up to some point. A french news show actually had an interview with Bachar Al-Assad himself a few weeks ago.
I'm more curious on what I can do to support them. Are there any organizations, or websites that I can visit to donate money or send supplies? I'm even a little bit would help.
KingAram99 The Kurds can have their own country but not in Turkey @Tom Sputbik They are allies in NATO dumbass, even if they werent why should the US attack Turkey moron!?
ranerk inasa cause we should drop heat from 30k feet on the turks. There lil a hoe thats fucking two men saying one thing to one guy & saying the complete opp to the other guy. Basicly turkey can't be trusted. The mongol's need to be showing whos there daddy.
I found Vice through your covering of Ukraine and the fight against ISIS. No other news media, not even Al JAzera, has delivered such a substantial coverage of events in these hotspots, and for that I will keep following you. Competence and very little prejudice, that is why I watch this channel.
I know this is a bit of a stretch, but i think the power vacuum left over from ISIS in the region could easily be replaced by the Kurds. Without a stable government or an opposing military force, we could see the birth of Kurdistan, a potentially more secular nation in the middle-east!
I will be a communist party! Jesus fucking Christ! And just because it's going to be a secular state doesn't mean it's going to be the most democratic. You're talking as if turkey and Israel don't exist.
mubarak Al-nuaimi Last time I check Israel is a democratic state , the most democratic in all the region in fact and Turkey is still a democracy they're just going into deep shit because of Erdogan and the AKP
he is the best vice reporter in my view, him and the white British guy. always top notch work, always think how much balls it takes to go to the front lines
Great reporting once more. Thank you Vice! Can you make a dispatch about the westerners that join Dwekh Nawsha (iraqi christian militia), the YPG and the Assyrian Patriotic Party? Don't know yet if these guys are christian extremists or actually people concerned with the situation of christians and minorities in general in Iraq and Syria. Would love to see these militias from the inside to get a better idea about them.
Hey Assad, you owe the Kurds and international community your gratitude. Once this war ends be sure to give the Kurds independence or just do nothing as always.
Arab World President is only a title. I can declare myself emperor of the World for example but as long as the World doesn't see me as an authority it doesn't matter if I'm president or not. I wouldn't have any power of the people. Abdullah Ahmad The syrian government is one of many parties in the ongoing war. I don't see them winning. They are "holding up", but not winning. Even if they would the population wouldn't trust or even back up the government.
Assad too busy losing ground to poorly armed, untrained FSA fighters in Dera'a, Idlib and Hama, the YPG are doing all the work against ISIS. Fuck you and your Assad
Well they dont have the support from a supper power in the air, plus they have outdated gear, not like YPG. I like both YPG and SAA hope the co-op on ISIS
Rojava Bashur Lol calm down bro the Army is advancing in the south north and west but no western coverage is the problem, without the Syrian army they wouldn't have controlled Hasakeh.
There are an intermediate amount of wrong translations, although it is little the translation and information that was not mentioned is a major thing for example: 4:15 "These come from the nationalities of Saudi and Western Countries (He was referring to Britain, France, Belgium)."
The pitiful state of the IS fighters' bodies is what strikes me the most. These men died believing they were heroes and martyrs, headed to an eternal sensual paradise. Instead, in actuality, their physical bodies lie broken and rotting on piles of rubble, with no one to bury, mourn, or remember them when they're gone. The dark irony of Jihadism.
This journalist needs to speak in a clearer and louder manner. He too often starts to pretty much mumble, when you couple that with the regular loud noises from gun shots etc. I have to adjust my volume a lot much and that makes it hard to watch especially at night. It would be great if the dude starts speaking louder. Otherwise these series are completely amazing.
Is this the first Vice Video that uses such a substantial amount of drone footage? Guess using drones in war situations will be the next big thing for reporters. They could basically fly it right into the IS line of battle if they were willing to risk about 500$.
how do they know they are fighters from Saudi or Kazak, etc... i just see scorched burnt and melted bodies. besides maybe the shouting of various languages and accents during battle but i don't see them being that close during an airstrike to determine that.
I wish VICE would interview the Syrian Army - The reason the syrian army failed to secure some area's is because the NDF fighters had low moral , so the army sent Major General Issam Zahreddine and his 400 Republican guards men + reinforcements from the Ba'ath Brigades, Sootoro , the Gozarto Protection Forces and Hezbollah from northern Hasakah to make up for lost ground , but unfortunately ISIL had already dug in with tanks and IED's by the time these reinforcements got there.
Out of all the factions in Syria I have the most respect for the Kurds. They are down to earth, smart, and brave people who deserve a very big reward after all of this crap ends. If it ends.
About a day ago, the Army will be sending 450 (3,550+ troops will be also be deployed) troops from Fort Hood to Kuwait to fight ISIS. If you think I'm making it up, here the article: thehill.com/policy/defense/250309-army-sending-450-soldiers-to-kuwait-in-isis-fight . Now the Kurdish won't be the only ones that are going to be successful in the front lines.
This is why I'm subscribed to vice. I'm so stoked on this series. You guys are honestly amazing (when you want to be) and for that I thank you! Now let's go Kurds!!!!!
eric Stoenescu agreed. less feminism hipster shit, more front line reporting.
666j1 I love their war reports, but their domestic coverage is complete garbage. I hope they focus more on war journalism, since very few others seem interested in doing it.
eric Stoenescu well yes but not only kurds, arabs and turkmens also fighting against isis
666j1 Not that i'm a fan of feminism, but there's a difference between Vice and Vice News. Stick to VNews if you want front line stuff.
Yasir Sahin true but there's so much conflict between turkey n kurd fighters.
For the first time, the YPG now finds itself in almost total control of Hasakah, with the regime squeezed into the central government district and IS cornered in the city's southern outskirts. VICE News secured exclusive access to YPG fighters as they cleared southern Hasakah of Islamic State militants.

You've been with the YPG, the Islamic Front assholes, and others.
Do that, please.

Come on, Vice News...
***** Zionist/Wahhabi media outlets usually don't do that
***** YEah, KSA, Qatar, Turkey.

RenovatioJuris that kinda of thinking is what IS has. Dont lose your humanity if that's the case than IS has already won.
RenovatioJuris i laughed honestly. Its isis sub species for crying out loud, who cares.
2:13 Roses rise from the battlefield, such beauty, such courage
Kurds are forces of good. Long live this brave people, long live Kurdistan!
The Syrian regime took credit when YPG did all the work with US air support.
Louis Serrano Yet the Syrian army is on the same street of course -_-
Louis Serrano The SAA fought against ISIL in Hasakha alone for several days till the YPG started to help.
Over 120+ SAA/NDF/allies soldiers died.
This guy is my favorite Vice reporter, Go Aries :) looking forward to more dispatches.
Way to go Rojava and the YPG! Solidarity to my comrades in Rojava, may anarchism and the revolution live long!

Syrian army needs to open its gates for international news agencies, to show their side of the story.

Sazzad habib anna news.
Sazzad habib Syrian army is pretty much open to any agencies that want to interview with them but VICE wouldn't do that because of their Saudi/Zionist agenda

Rojava (YPG,YPJ) forces need our support asap in a country torn between islamic extremists and a ruthless dictator.
adinfinitum000 You mean by the dictator America right ?
Fuck Assad and ISIS
Zara Hurriye fuck nationalist Islamist Kurds called YPG
Hey Assad, you owe the Kurds and international community your gratitude. Once this war ends be sure to give the Kurds independence or just do nothing as always.
Assad doesn't have any power to tell the kurds or anybody else anything. They'll do as ever they please.
Volox TV Lol he is the president the Kurds are not his priorities right now, re-taking Tamur Idlib & Aleppo are after that the time will come.
Volox TV maybe you don't understand the situation. Assad is winning.
Arab World we will see about that!

There are an intermediate amount of wrong translations, although it is little the translation and information that was not mentioned is a major thing for example: 4:15 "These come from the nationalities of Saudi and Western Countries (He was referring to Britain, France, Belgium)."
Awesome. I'm glad our airstrikes and the YPG on the ground are beating IS the most. It's encouraging.
that feel when no cutie kurd fighter will ever acknowledge you
Just quit Stalin and you go to her my son
Joseph Stalin You can as soon as you stop calling us kulaks.
4:21: send this picture to his family back in Saudi Arabia:
"I'm having a great day relaxing at the spa getting a mud facial."
Man, those toasted corpses looked nasty : S
I'm glad that smells can't be transferred over the internet.
What they did is Not Jihad,
That's called Terrorism.
Aris has some serious balls with all the places he's been. Love his stuff. Long live the Kurds!
4:45 shoes came off, he's definitely dead
When will part 2 be posted?
That woman in the end complaining about her bedroom being completely destroyed! most ridiculous thing in this war probably.
Why are we not doing anything about it? What i really dont understand is the way UNpeacekeepers have reacted. Are they in no way responsible for this?
This journalist needs to speak in a clearer and louder manner. Get em boys!
These guys are very brave
Why when they say ''Teheran'' they subtitle it like ''coalition'' or ''American''. Just askin', I am in doubt.
Is this the first Vice Video that uses such a substantial amount of drone footage?
Guess using drones in war situations will be the next big thing for reporters.
They could basically fly it right into the IS line of battle if they were willing to risk about 500$.
eberbacher007 It's actually around 100$.
how do they know they are fighters from Saudi or Kazak, etc... i just see scorched burnt and melted bodies. besides maybe the shouting of various languages and accents during battle but i don't see them being that close during an airstrike to determine that.
Based Kurds, wish you all the best folks.
Yeah ..

I blame Hideo Kojima. This is EXACTLY what Big Boss wanted.

One of the days, God will free everything and punish those who did evil to other human beings...
most of the part of the world has kind of battle. Is it supposed to be called mini-world war III?
Vice u are the hope in the darkness .
Hurry with the next instalment. Don't stall on this one...!
About a day ago, the Army will be sending 450 (3,550+ troops will be also be deployed) troops from Fort Hood to Kuwait to fight ISIS. ***** omfg..... i think WW3 will start if the US military intervenes again, maybe Iran might get involved, who knows.
tony. #sk8 Yea, don't know about WW3 starting over ISIS or even Iran helping the US. We're still a bit shaky due to the Iran-US Nuclear Deal.
Iran is Shia and Isis is Sunni. Iran already fights Isis helping the Iraq Shia from the south. So Iran and the U.S are on the same side
FUCK YEAH, WESTERN KURDS. BRING IN THAT DEMOCRATIC CONFEDERATE SHIT. HELL YES.
Posh Tiara what if I told you Guay they are Anarcho-communist/synicalist and Trotskyist.
How the hell are they able to tell which country that mush come from 3:32
Aren't these guys the Turks are targeting now? Or Someone else?
A turtle Yes turkey is bombing the only people fighting ISIS on the ground...
***** You couldnt have said it better. I Strongly agree with you!
THEY KILLED BORAT?!?!
Yagsemash
Is every YPJ fighter hot or is that just who they send out for the cameras?
averageluke181 Every socialist feminist revolutionary is hot of course.
Now THIS is a people the Western Left and Right wings can agree on supporting.
crazy ole world...
Very interesting video. An Arab ex-intelligence officer serving in the YPG, and Kazakh ISIS members.
Yes once again Vice news is at the front lines of many hot spots around the globe. The kurds are very strong loyal fighters.
03:32 Rest in Peace Borat!!!!!
The YPG isn't too far from ISIL's capital, ar-Raqqah, either. They could do some serious damage.
Kurds have fighter jets?
Alcatraz American jets* Also AC-130s and B1B bomber air support.
Long live to this protectors.....Christians ,Sunni Arabs and Kurds thats progression, that is civilazation against ..this Islamofascists......
they translated "sayudiye wa ajnabiye" by just saying "saudian" when it actually means "saudian and european"
Nadsss anjabiye means foreign
The kurds are true warriors god bless them
Just because Assad withdrew from here doesn't mean he lost to Isis it could mean he went to control another front
+Abbas haider Or destroy some more hospitals
I WISH there were some kurds in the netherlands/Germany that could help me get there so i can fight with them
You can contact them online and they will tell you how to join. Bit late now though. Did you ever figure it out? lol
Agh I can smell that decomposing body right now. Somethings you never forget y'know.
This video contains graphic content? Well, that's why it's called a video.
Seemed too happy that his bedroom had bee destroyed
And now Turkey is bombing YPG. Sess
again
Funny how the war changed once the U.S. made T.O.W. launchers were introduced to the "rebels "
How exactly do they identify where specific ISIS fighters are from? I doubt they carry a wallet with ID
luckycharms8282 Some of them have passports etc
He has his blood type on his vest. o_O
they might struggle to call this pushing back the islamic state now that turkey has started an offensive against the kurds in turkey
Bashar army fighting along side with Kurds this is really interesting
Khalid Saif It is not. The commander shown in this video left Syrian army because he did not agree with the regime behavior to join YPG's
Sébastien Guy He can't leave the army so it's bullshit. He is trying to improve the image of the Kurds and encourages Syrians to join them.
AtheistSy 98 Hahaha what? YPG controls every move in Rojava, he can do anything he like there.
AtheistSy 98 Tens of thousands of Arab guys have left the army wtf are you talking about?
Rojava Bashur Bitch please the Army controls Haskeh and if they see someone who left the Army for any reason is consider a traitor and will get shot
"I know not with what weapons World War III will be fought with, but I know that World War 4 will be fought with sticks and stones" -Albert Einstein.
Why are these Kurds speaking Arabic? Most of the time they stick to Kurdish.
Lord Tiber Septim Watch 5:08 again, the YPG have Arab officers and fighters...
