Snorkeling the San Marcos River and SPRING LAKE (aka Aquarena Springs)

The public can now snorkel in Spring Lake thanks to the "Splash into Science" program at the Meadows Center.

I spent a few months trying out TX living in San Marcos, and as someone who grew up in SoCal with nice beaches, SM and New Braunfels are probably the only places I'd live in TX, it's helpful to have access to clean, cool water during those summers. Most lakes/river in landlocked America are pretty murky. I hope TX protects those clear rivers forever.
