Mahatma Dasa. He joined ISKCON in September of 1977 in San Diego. He took ritvik ceremony initiation on May 22 1986 in Haridwar, India. He was one of two pioneers of the Srila Prabhupada festival in 1990 and 1991. He also started the Srila Prabhupada family reunion in 1996. Around that time, he also helped start the legal case that gave the rights for Prabhupadanugas to print the original books. Maybe you can share a little about your life before joining the movement.

This morning I woke up and the neighbours were playing a song loudly and I thought "oh no what is this sapy song I don't want it to get stuck in my head" and then I looked at the Radha Krishna murti on the desk in my room and thought "oh I know this song actually I could be thought of as a prayer if it is sung with Krishna in mind the chorus is nothing compares too you" and I thought ok all good that hasn't disturbed my mind. And then I got up and someone had the tv on and I realised that it was a Sinead O'Connor song and she has just left her body and it may well have been a prayer to Krishna indeed. She has a tattoo of Jesus Christ on her heart and Krishna on one arm and goddess Laxmi on the other. She joined and left many religious groups in her life and obviously had a deep longing for the lord and a dysphoria for the many problems of religious institutions she left the Catholics for the same reason many have left ISKCON. anyway I just wanted to share that thought somewhere sorry it has nothing to do with the video. I feel she was touched by the holy spirit but her head struggled with what her heart knew and she never found the right association or answers but she expressed herself through singing and it kept her going. People made fun of her mental health but the majority of people are so mundane and have so much false pride over their bodily platform they can't see that it is themselves that are mad. How can we get access to the books?
Well, there was no instance where Srila Prabhupada wanted female leading positions as it is not supported by our Vaishnava literature like Hari Bhakti Vilasa
