@@Randomanddesperate yeah, it was taller than blackpool tower, was dismantled just after first world war because it had no maintenance during war, basically went rusty, if you google new brighton tower/pier you'll see pics, pier was dismantled in the 1970's

@@Randomanddesperate me and my son went st Anne's on mother's day to a hotel with our local coach company it was a mother's day meal and entertainment my sons treat to me wecwent to the delmany hotel we had a beautiful meal and the kids entertainer came round with balloon shaped flowers well I had to get one big kid I am a few friends who were at the mother's day meal stayed their a couple of weeks before and shown me the photos of meals they had and bedrooms and event he pool and gym it's a beautiful hotel so if the coach firm have a holiday their jn the future I'm deffo going I love sf Anne's
I fell in love with St Ann's on Sea beautiful place very quiet and I've took a few lady friends there in my past say no more. Definitely worth visiting

your painting, the first one , without getting a good look at it, looks like new brighton in the early 1900's had a tower and a pier.
I never knew that New Brighton had a tower, I've always been curious where this picture was painted is a bit of a mystery to me and I like mysteries
