Hey Jay! In the video you say enter as many times as you want, but here it says 4 chances, with 1 chance for each of the bullet points listed above. I've re-read it a few times assuming I'm missing something but it's still slightly unclear to me which it is. Thanks!
Hi Jay I'd use this amp to run headphones or maybe my vintage Celestions. With regards to the Samsung event hope they do a crazy offer memory cards , my lgv30 could do with some extra space for music. Best of luck to everyone 😀
@@adambozak5372 Yea, I made a mistake. I corrected via text next to me in the video but essentially; each video with this giveaway going on, you can enter 4 times.
I have this amp and have been using it for 2 years now. It’s been eye opening for me. Not an exaggeration either. While I loved it right out of the box, it really came alive for me on a whole new level once I explored tube rolling. I’ve got her so dialed in now that I will not change a thing! Best audio experience I have ever had. Paired with Klipsch Forte speakers by the way. Also, as far as volume goes, I have never yet had a need to go past the half way mark to get the volume I was looking for. Most of the time I’m as a quarter or %30.
I hear from tube enthusiast that a 300B amp is a must hear in our audio journey. Maybe one day I can own one of these. I very much appreciate you and thomas reviewing this piece of gear
I’d love to try this amp out! 6-8 wpc is plenty of power to drive a good amount of speakers. I tried a 300B amp on my Pendragons, and it was a great combo. Nice balanced presentation, great tonality, and it sounded beautiful, especially with certain types of music, but everything actually worked well. Thanks Jay. Great description of a 300B amplifier.
Thanks for your comment. I have a quick question..not sure if you can answer. I listen to a lot of acoustic based music like folk, bluegrass, jazz, light classical. listen also listen to electic music... Southern California Singer/Songwriter Folk-Rock, Soul, R&B . IYO, how will this Boyuurange tube amplifier perform...reproducing the music I enjoy listening to. All source material is very well recorded. Thanks, David
Jesus you must be burned out keeping up with all these comments and partnerships and sponsorships and gaaaah!! Just remember to take a week off after you’re done, this is a whole lotta editing.
Get a subwoofer with a line-level pass through, like the Emotiva SE8, Run your line level source into the sub, and run the line level out from the sub to your amp. The Emotiva SE8 also has a high-pass filter, which strips out the low frequencies, so they don't go to the amp, and it doesn't waste power trying to drive bass. I do this with my Reisong A10, and it's fantastic.
Old video, but still relevant. I have a Reisong A12 and have done some tube rolling. I'm considering the jump into 300b tubes. For anyone thinking about the downsides mentioned at the end of this video, what I've paired to my A12 is a Blusound Node X. It has a very good DAC and a sub output. I control volume with the Node X also which fixes the 'no remote' issue and 'how to add a sub' issue. All I do is turn my tube amp on and the Node X handles the rest. In fact, I have my turntable connected to the analog input on my Node X as well which is able to take advantage of tone controls inside the Node. The Reisong is simply an amplifier at this point. Great review Jay.
I know this is late but I just watched this. No remote. Doesn't come with one. As for the pre-out, I'm using a Topping DX7 Pro DAC that has multiple outs. You can always connect a powered sub with that. I'm using Triangle BRo3 speakers and find that I really don't need a sub. They are front ported and put out enough rich bass for my liking. I rolled the tubes on the amp as well with Genelex Gold Lion 300B tubes. NOS GE 6SN7GTBs and a NOS GE 5AR4 for the rectifier tube. That adds nice punch and clarity. Very happy with this setup.
Jay you are overlooking the ability to use a sub with a high level connection. REL actually recommends high level over line level and for music their subs are among the best anyway.
I own one and I absolutely love it! Yes it sounds sweet but the construction is solid too. The 300b tubes are high quality ! I’ve made some mods to the circuit and it sounds even better. The low wattage doesn’t matter. The quality of the wattage is way more important. Paired with high efficiency speakers this amp roars!
Always been curious about a tube amp but as someone with limited funds have not been able to try it out. Your comment on how sweet it sounds has me even more intrigued, especially as I am not a guy driven by floor rumbling bass. BTW, loved the tickle analogy!
A very interesting and affordable amp. Don't forget, you can add a sub if it has a high level/ speaker level input like many REL subs do. Just connect to the left and right channel speaker connections using the appropriate cable.
So yesterday I took delivery of the A50 and, yes, it works great with my twin BK electronic subs using their high level connection and it has absolutely no problems driving my 93dB Zingali floorstanders to ear punishing levels while retaining it's composure. For acoustic music and jazz it's great and when my upgraded signal and power valves arrive I look forward to an even better experience. I am using it as well as a big 150watt hybrid amp for more dynamic and complex, bass heavy music and I think this is the ideal role for this amp, as a second unit for contrast and variation.
It's definitely time to add a tube amplifier into my system. I'm tired of the bright upper end of my Class D integrated amplifier. Thank you for all your education on how best to use and enjoy a tube amplifier of this power level.
I would LOVE this amp. I've been torn between the Willsenton R8 and this unit for a few weeks now. Thanks for all the hard work you put into these videos Jay
Even 7 watts is very decent. I tried a 1st watt amp with my Tekton Lores and sounded fantastic at low volumes. I’m sure this would be magic to the ears with the right speakers and style of music.
Man, what an excellent review. This Jay guy knows how to get the points that most matter across to people who've not yet heard tubes. I'm a tube headphone amp guy. I'm now putting together my first non-headphone setup. This was incredibly helpful. Many thanks, Jay.
Back in the day I had a Vuum Amp and Swan D2.1SE. It didn’t really work long term, not enough power and no remote. Sold them both. But I still miss the Vuum. Wish I still had it. I’d give tubes another go though, I’d give this a shot.
Hello Jay and all of you. I believe that many enthusiasts discover music reproduction with an amplifier with only one tube per channel, 300B, 845 or more modestly EL34, 6L6 (ah! the 7581A Tung-Sol!! Beautiful and not expensive). It is a unique magic for those of us who like to listen to a voice! Its human presence, its softness, all the subtleties of singing. And yes, I agree, the treble is soft, but rich in harmonics, and then the 3D effect of the music reproduction is really magical (thanks also to my Totem Sttaf for that). It's just magic, for those of us who like this kind of music reproduction. But normally, an amplifier that uses a 300B tube, it's a fortune ! I wish a lot of musical pleasure to its happy owners and to the one who will win this little wonder. One day maybe, I will come to it ! Thank you Jay for sharing your passions with such sincerity :) Cordialement de France :)
Thank you Samsung and Jay! Tubes! Tubes! Tubes! As an audiophile who lives in Podunk, Nowhere, I've never auditioned tubes and would love to experience tubey tube tubes:)
I am yet to try a tube amp.... My journey has been A/B and Class D, but with Tube amps often referred to as the ultimate in musicality and warm sound, it is definitely the next step and something I have to try out. Great video as usual Jay...
She is a beauty. Always wanted to try some tube gear. I just found some horn loaded speakers that are efficient. Ill be checking the comments and hope to hear from ya. Tell Tujen to get him a JTR Terminator.
Great video Jay. I like how you describe the difference between Willsenton R8 vs the A50. I’ve had both in my room and agree, you’re dead-on. The Willsenton is a tube amp that satisfies people transitioning from the solid state world more adaptable to speakers/music… vs more of a “pure tube sound” designs which have many market limitations (speaker pairing being most evident). I found the A50 a great value tube amp, but actually preferred the A10 in that Reisong line-up I found with my Forte 3 speakers the sound paired better. Keep up the great reviews.
I've been eyeing this one and the Wilsenton R8. I used to have the Antique Sound Labs Wave monoblock tube amps and they had plenty of power for my old Boston Acoustics A120 speakers...still have them.
This amp sounds like it would pair well with an efficient speaker like a Quad esl57 that you referred to in your video on vintage equipment or a horn speaker like Klipsch horns.
From experiences over the years, amplifiers based on 300B tubes was just more natural sounding which draw you into a long listening sessions with it 'sweet' and non fatiguing sound.

You are the first one of the Hi-FI RUclips community that gives something back to! Thank you for being awesome!
Nice review, Jay! Historically a "sweet" top end is often characterized as smooth, softer and delicate - but not rolled off and certainly not bright.
Yes Sean, it's like musical silk. It's an experience you have to live.
Hi Sean,
What does the audio term 'rolled off' mean? 🤔
I am not sure.
Can you describe it for me?
Thanks,

REL subs use the high-level (channel out) ports ... should work fine with the Boyourange, no?
yes, no problem at all. In fact, I have a pair of REL subs connected to a Reisong A10
Me too. My two REL subs work like a charm with my A10.
One of your more enthusiastic videos! Can’t believe its a year old. How did I miss it?

300b tubes have been on my wishlist for a long time now. But right now, I’m in the stage like your early years-more power!
Thank you for posting this video. My faith in your opinion didn’t fail me! Unit sounds fantastic. It’s a keeper.
300b amps rock! One of the first 300b's I ever listened to was the Golden Tube amp you referred to in the video.

That integrated amplifier is beautiful!

Looking forward to the Samsung TV event! Thx for the BoyuuRange review Jay!
This could very well be my first tube amplifier. Thanks Jay!
The 300B tube sound seem very seductive and addictive, good job Jay!
The Samsung vacuum is looking pretty cool! Might have to check that little guy out.
WOW i was eyeing this one for a while... Thank you.
Looking forward to the Samsung QD OLEDs
Your chanel grew to one of the best. I remember when you had only earphones and headphones.
Good job Jay👍
Looks gorgeous. Never had a chance to listen to a tube amp.
The Samsung smart home gadgets and new TVs are most intriguing. Awesome review Jay!
Really have bern w as noting to experience the tube sound! Thanks for offering this amazing opportunity!
I’ve never listened to a tube amplifier yet, hard to believe it can perform that well (for a small room) with only 7.6 watts
Never knew Jay had so much humor up his sleeve
Been following you for a minute and appreciate your reviews. Curious about tube amps and grateful you are offering one up. Fingers crossed over here!
Really enjoying your videos and sense of humor! Enjoying tubes through my hps, this seems like a great place to start with speakers.
Another spot on review and love what you're doing with Samsung. Keep up the great work!
Jay, I don't care about samsung's networked vacuume cleaners, but I need that sweet, sweet 300B sound in my ears. Need.
I'm happy to see you reviewing KEF, I truly love their more affordable range. I can only imagine what the LS50 Meta sound like.
I've been eyeing this one and the Wilsenton R8. I used to have the Antique Sound Labs Wave monoblock tube amps and they had plenty of power for my old Boston Acoustics A120 speakers...still have them.
I always look for your reviews, great content, keep it up. Thanks

Love the idea of tubes! Heard a preamp with a tube buffer and I fell in love. Never heard a tube amp though.
Never had or listened to a tube. This would be great for the mids and highs.
Thanks for the review, Jay. I've been eyeing tubes as of late and am eager to get my hands on some!
Looking forward to their promotional deals and sweepstakes. Thanks for doing this for the community Jay.
Love the videos Jay. Thanks for the contest. You're going to make some people very happy.
Love the tube sound in my A10 with Gold Lion tubes.
Pairing it with a high sensitivity lively speaker would be fun. They will compliment each other perfectly well.
Jay- Thanks for the nice discussion of what you get with a 300B SET amp and some of the things you may give up (bass). Comparison to some other low cost Tube amps and intergrateds was great too. Wish me luck.
I miss the warm glow of tubes. But not the heat.
living in Arizona.
Sold my tubes years ago, I do miss them. Good luck everyone.
I am looking to get a tube integrated amp. This tube thing is very new to me. I have been using solid state amps and Recievers all my life. Tubes seems the way go as my music taste and listening needs have been changing.
