Who would have thought a beetle could be cool?? We did! Andd if you think beetles are cool check out how to set up these awesome blue death feigning beetles.
Dog food or cat food can be used for BDFB for a protein source. Their main diet should be fruits and veggies like carrots, potatoes, lettuce, strawberries, apples, bananas, bell peppers. But like I mentioned they need a protein source too and dog or cat food works for that.
Just found out about these cute lil bugs a few months ago. Do they need a smaller enclosure or can I set them up in a bigger enclosure (I was thinking a 20gal)
20 gallons can be a bit large as it can be hard for them to find their food , however if there are multiple feeding areas then it shouldn’t be a problem :)
Hey, i happen to have a 3 gallon fish tank that I will repurpose soon. My betta fish will get a bigger tank and am curious if I could keep any of these beetles in there. It's a glass 9x9x9 inch cube. Thanks!! @@LLLReptile1
I use half clam shells for mine that they love hiding under

Iam very new to insect keeping, what’s yours or anybody’s opinion of feeding the beetles dry dog or cat food?

What was the size of the enclosure used?
Im not sure about the size of the enclosure but the average size should be half a gallon per beetle
