I don't understand why people give other players shit about using a pick. It is so stupid. Ellefson is the best example why it is stupid. He's a monster. See also Jason Newsted, Rex Brown and countless others!!!!! It's just another method of playing like slap and pop, used for a specific tone and style of music. End of story!!
I don’t think people appreciate how hard it is to pick like this on a bass; thicker strings and further to travel in between each string when compared to guitar.... all the while stopping the other strings letting out any noise or hum to muddy up the low end. Great job my man! 🤘

I can’t ever get enough of the rhythm underlying the solo at the end with those triplets. The bass just showcases how that part is such pure incredible metal
Sounds great - tone is killer and the playing, as ever, a fantastic tribute to the original. I learned this last year as part of a set I played as stand-in bassist with a UK Megadeth tribute and had to learn to play with a pick properly for the first time. David Ellefson is much underrated.
