Yeah, both the wins relied heavily on Mozaki going off. If you don't draw her, the deck might not be able to get there most of the time. But you're right, it does seem a lot of fun.
Well to be fair, Kibler is one of the streamers that for some reason does not chain card effects and just waits them out. That in combination with just spending time to think, is easily a minute lost each turn. sidenote: Especially when the green button is showing (= you cannot do anything anymore this turn for sure) and he waits, it kinda hurts my inner sense of ... efficiency? In most cases, I personally would wish for the rope to go down faster so I do not have to wait that long for the opponent. EDIT: Ideally, when any sort of animation effect is running, the turn timer would just increase (almost) accordingly, in turn cutting down the "normal" turn timer. I guess that is too hard to implement? If not, I wonder why it does not work that way.
Bro there are already games i need to wait for my opponent doing the most obv boring play i can think of, roping every second turn. Is it so hard to decide whether u use the aoe or not god dammit?
Mr Kibler, just wanna say that I enjoy watching you play, and that your giggle when things are pogged out of control is one of the best parts of your videos. Aside from Shiro, of course.
@@nastyvichavoc8 not really, spell generation has no cost limit in mage, you would generally get more expensive and weaker alternatives, like the new 3 mana spell
It'd be okay I guess, but as Kibler always says: if you consider putting a card into your deck, think about which card you would want to remove in its place.
@@Bruh-el9js Ray of frost is an absolute staple in any deck that runs Mana Cyclone. Sorcerous substitute is pretty much a guaranteed 12/12 split on two bodies. And combustion can either be an AoE or a high damage single target removal. Honestly, I'd pick all 3 over arcane explosion any day.
Thijs has recently come up against a mage OTK deck that utilizes the spell damage legendary that gain more spell damage per spell, apprentice, illusion potion, evocation and arcane missiles to just machinegun the enemy to death. You play the legendary, then 2 aprentices, then the potion, play the 3 minions, then evocation to ramp up the 2 legendaries and finish with arcane missiles.
Mozaki seems so much more interesting than Malygos. Yes she also blows you up but it seems like she'd offer more chances to survive / stop it than Maly combining with a discount for a otk from nothing on the board. Fun and interactive play
@@erito9507 She's a problem in wild too. But honestly, these tempo mage decks would need to be completely rethought without Sorcerer's Apprentice. But uh, I don't think Mozaki seems OP at all. She's a strong mid-range snowball card.
@@erito9507 Highlight videos from expansion release experimentation streams are not a good indication of how a card will actually perform, she is just a 5-mana 3/8 with no abilities until you start casting spells and it requires at least 3-4 other cards before the spell damage becomes notable. I'll honestly be surprised if the card sees any competitive play at all, it does look cool to high-roll with discounted evocation turns and such so at least it should have a nice life as a meme card but actually trying to win with this consistently just doesn't sound realistic.
This deck looks sweet! Not sure how viable it’ll be once everything gets refined, but going off with some of the nutty cards in the deck seems pretty cool!

Decks like this would be tough for me to play,i get overwhelmed having 8 different decisions to make while the timer is clicking down.It definitely looks like a fun deck to play almsot too much value in it.
I don't think steward of scrolls was the problem. Brian just put in way too many card draw cards and no cards that actually take advantage of spell damage. He needs to cut arcane intellect and throw in 2 fireballs and find spots for frostbolts.
Sadly this deck seems to work crap for me. Maby I am just an idiot. But I keep losing. There is literally a huge lack of spells. and if you don't draw freaking perfect. Its a loose. Which is basicly 80% of the time.
You're missing the point of the combo/low spell cost style of the deck. When you are playing with spell damage, damage scales better with cheaper spells since you can cast more spells which means you're multiplying the effect of the spell damage by the amount of spells you're casting. For example lets say you have 10 mana and Mozabi Master Duelist on board with + 10 spell damage you could either cast x2 Frostbolt(26 damage) a fireball(16 damage) and x2 arcane missiles(26 damage) for 68 damage in total(using 10 mana) or you could cast x1 pyroblast for 20 damage(using 10 mana). That is not taking into account the fact that SorcApprentice could discount your cheaper spells to 0 for free casts. Hope this helps, cheers.
Nearly half his deck is just new cards, mate. Spell damage decks were technically a thing, yeah, but they were tier 6 meme decks you'd only see streamers use every once in a while. It's cool to see a legit take on those decks that actually seems playable.

I wonder if they will increase turn timers soon as there's just so many effects going on that the rope truely becomes the real enemy
