    I've found that the best way to run off people who decide to swim right next to my lines is to tell them about the "5 ft shark you caught right before they came over"

    I have those crazy expensive stuff well because I love surf fishing and enjoy watching surf fishing videos. Here is a funny time I can recall. I was at the Jax Pier with my $500 set up and a girl next to me was catching whiting with a coke can!

    Were you running the braid into a swivel then into the high low rig? Are those size 2 circle hooks?

    • @SlotCityFishing
      @SlotCityFishing  Год назад

      Correct. Main line braid to swivel to rig. I use eagle claw razor sharp 2/0 circle sea hooks. That may change soon tho.

    So, I live in Jacksonville and this weekend I was surf fishing at Mayport (My dad's Army) and like 90% of my catches were the fish that's got a spot close to the head and brownish diagonal lines on it. Do you know what that is, especially also fishing Jacksonville? I've tried looking at a ton of places and haven't seen anything that looks like that. My first catch was a little red, with the spot on the tail, but every other one has the spot by the head

    • @SlotCityFishing
      @SlotCityFishing  3 года назад

      I think the name is “spot.” Not joking that’s the name for them or at least what people call them.

    Hey, looking for good surf reels that can take getting pounded by waves as I wade out in the NC surf and cast. BG's have locked up, so looking at sealed. The BG's will only be used from a sand spike going forward. Have a spinfisher V 4500 and clash 4000.....looking now to get a 5500 size. Saw your vid on spinfisher V vs VI and the spinfisher internals was impressive!! Do you have any experience with the Clash in the surf in regards to getting wet/dunked?? I like the Clash's lighter weight, but I want something that can take getting a wave crashing over my head......

    • @SlotCityFishing
