I had the later swinging arm version the C12, in 1967. I used it for the 12 mile trip to work every day until some muppet turned in front of me, totalling the bike. It was a good old bike. Far better than the later C15, which although lighter, was far less reliable. There seem to be plenty of survivors in blighty up for sale.

This one came from cape Town and now lives in Johannesburg. A good runner and starts first kick every time. Only goes around the block every few weeks these days. Joburg is very dry so no rust and all original paint. Malcolm.

I like those bread and butter bikes as much as the exotics.

Your bike is a C11G, BSA made a C10, Side Valve engine with a rigid- frame. followed by C11, O,H,V plunger-frame. Then yours the C11G and
the "G" stands for "Generator" model, instead of a Magneto. The C12, had a swinging arm rear end. These are excellent commuter Motorcycles.
Hope you find this interesting? I had this model and it is the best combination of them all. Thanks you.

... That's a C11G ...... plunger frame ........ The C11 had a rigid frame and dynamo. My first 'street-legal' bike in 1968, bought for 5 quid and delivered to my house !
