Ivy had something against Martin. She hated the fact that Gail and Martin got together months after Brian was stabbed to death. Ans she was against Gail having her surname changed from Tilsley to Platt when she and Martin got married. And when Martin was gonna adopt Nick and Sarah who were gonna have the same surname as Martin and David she believed it was ruining Brian’s name. If Ivy was around during Gail’s Marriage with Richard Hillman, Richard would’ve got rid of Ivy without a trace like he did with his ex wife.
The character of Alan Bradley is interesting, he was always pretty much a cold fish, but these days he seems to be Narcissistic, if not psychopathic. Although it's hard to say, because when Mark Eden was in the show a few years earlier as a different character, he was also very aoof and cold. So maybe it's actually just the actor's style
Audrey never stops her brainlesslessy dizzy ways, trying to squeeze every penny she can out of Alf. She knew he wasn't keen on parting with his money before they got married, yet still she tries to use him.

Ken and Curly is as good as any sitcom. Ken Morley is a British Treasure.
Does Martin call Gail a f’ing sadist when she’s holding the bleeping alarm clock in his face, sounds like it! 🤬
Well I've not come to that scene yet but I can guarantee you he said "flippin". I'll report back when the scene comes up ...
1:07:49 yep. Pretty clear as expected. Flippin. If only he flippin flipped and strangled Gail to death we would have been flippin rid of both.
Sorry but I have never like Jenny even today.
It's just a part he plays..... what is you're excuse ?🤔🙄🤐
@@irenemorley75 SINGLE WHITE FEMALE ALERT ‼
Urgh not the McDonald’s!! This is where the show goes downhill.
Absolutely. I really disliked the family right from the start.
@@bsaunders5271 🤔🙄🙄🙄
Don't know about that Charlie Lawson a great actor aka Jim MC Donald
Andy and Steve are fine imo but their parents can get lost
@@irenemorley75 hey stalker 👋🏻👋🏻👋🏻👋🏻👋🏻
Audrey never stops her brainlesslessy dizzy ways, trying to squeeze every penny she can out of Alf. She knew he wasn't keen on parting with his money before they got married, yet still she tries to use him.
But Alf had the last one on Audrey when he passed
I really loved his relationship with Rennie. They had a real partnership. When Alf first proposed and was giving his financial statistics, she was turned off. It’s a shame they killed her off.
She is acting lovey🤣🤣🤣🤭🙄
@@irenemorley75 and here you are again lovey. Green really is your colour.
Ivy want Martin to apologize!? Did she apologize for hitting him? What she mean Martin in Brian house! Don't she have Don in Bert's house, ivy not easy at all!😂😂😂😂
Mavis plays the victim part so well her advise is so condescending
This month Ken tries to get his leg over, and locks his car with a key, and a Doctor makes a home visit.
I’m surprised they have money change troubles. My da taught us to put fivers up on the register and make change then put in cash drawer
Quite right.
what drives me more nuts; jenny and her whingy shouting voice. sally and her nasal voice or gail and her Im a cow voice
The fact that jenny has absolutely no sympathy for Rita is more sickening then that father of hers getting out scott free...I know it's just a show but I wish I could give our girl Rita a hug 😔
Liz Dawn was one lucky lady to land this job….I can’t imagine her getting much else ….R.I.P.
Alan makes me feel sick to the pit of my stomach
I can't stand the way Gail speaks to and snaps at Nicky a lot of times. She can be so dismissive and snappy with him. As for Ivy I now remember why I couldn't stand her the first time round. And don't get me on the self centered selfish Mare that is Jenny, Rita should have kicked her out weeks back. So glad Bradley ends up under a tram. What an absolute bully and creep.
Maybe already commented on, haven’t scrolled through, but they edited out Rita’s vitriolic and justified “When I’ve finished, the whole word’ll know what a bastard Alan Bradley really is!” payoff line.
Yep presumably because these ITV3 repeats were shown at an earlier hour than it was originally broadcast in 1989. They also cut out Jim McDonald belting Liz if I remember rightly a few years later.
@@EveHenleySpread Yeah, I thought that would be the understandable reason. What’s a bastard, mummy? 😬 😝. Some edits are quite subtle then with others it’s like the scene’s been left in mid air! Just revisited the iconic tram scene and they cut Alan’s outburst to just come back! ‘89 was such a busy year for the Street, everyone must have worked so hard. Rita was featured very heavily, it’s a good job Barbara didn’t fall ill.
Emily Bishop. You little ripper. 👏👏👏👏👏 Mr Jones. You owe me money. Just the same as everybody else.
1:14:06 I love how Bet leans in to try and get a kiss from Derrick 😂
Ivy is an angry little hell cat. 🙄
Alan didn’t get back his Ford Sierra Estate from the coppers
I really can't feel sorry for Rita, she knew Alan was evil violent, and shamed Gloria to leave Alan for her,she excused all his bad behavior cause she wanted the man,now seeing Jenny preferred her unalive her, would not rid herself of Jenny! Keeping screaming Jenny is like keeping her dad around, he'll be back,Rita afraid of Alan in joke!😂😂😂😂
3:46:03 Oh god no. I'll see the Alan Bradley saga through, then I'm out!
1:07:48 haha sounds like Martin called Gail a “fucking sadist”
When will you be starting 1990 episodes please
Soon :-)
@@EveHenleySpread thank you :)
The nerve of Ivy passing judgment on her when Ivy had Don not that long after Bert!
Please someone put Jenny in jail!!!
In these episodes, Ken gives his iguana a run…
The Martin and Gail story is so boring, can't stand to see either of them on screen, Kev and Sally are the same too. The Streets golden years were way behind them even at this stage.. eastenders trash ruined all UK soaps.
What happened to the girl that worked in the cafe she seems to have vanished have the wrighters forgotten her has Gail not noticed and who is delivering the sandwiched
Rita. I’m sure this is Derek Jacobi in drag…
