cats will take any opportunity they can to get up high like that! if you can, maybe you could put a cat tree or something close to the little cubby there for easy access and make them a cozy little space in the cubby!!

Pretty sure that pink bear is a Build a Bear, looked like it had the logo on the bottom of one of its legs/paws. My kids are obsessed with Build a Bear (I say with my chubby anniversary bear I got a few weeks ago staring me down across the room 😬)
I got my favorite bowl at a thrift store too. Those wooden leaf trays would look cute on the wall too. Fun video Pepper reminds me so much of our Jasper he was such a Sassy cat, we lost him last month so Pepper has a special place in my heart.

You should make a little bed area up there in that nook for pepper and get little kitty steps that go on your wall so he can get up there. Also my cats get on top of the cabinets too it’s so adorable ☺️.
We have a cat that likes to climb ladders but can’t get down. He also likes to camp out on top of the cabinets. You can always paint things to cut down on the amount of brown.
You should build your cats little shelves just for them to climb! That way they stay out of the way... That's what I did anyway! Loved that little tornado of chaos.
I understand it could be taking potential squishmellows space however if you make a little cat nook for a peach and pepper up on that ledge above the closet in your office oh my god that would be adorable.
