What I hate is that in order to make characters look strong, they make other characters weak. Like how Wanda killed Captain Marvel by dropping a statue on her…..like what lol??? Also, Dr. Strange is suppose to be the best of all the sorcerers, past, present and future…with that being said, he is sooooooooo weak and incompetent lol.
Exactly,and people calling Wanda the most powerful avenger after this movie makes me more annoyed since every other character was just straight up nerfed so it isn’t saying much,and it’s also forced
I think Wanda somehow stole Captain Marvels powers before crushing her with rocks. It looks as so in the movie for me at least.

My biggest problems with this movie was the dialogue and pulling in characters for them to die 5 minutes aswell and then character plot armor

Lazy writing and trash continuity
Yeah I guess if you tried really hard you could make some kind of sense of it. Here's my take, in MOM they established that dreams are just our alternate selves from another universe. In infinity war when iron man was telling pepper that he had a dream where they had a daughter, this was most likely because in a another universe he actually did live that life and have a daughter. Now in far from home, mysterio didn't actually make up his background story, one of his henchmen did for him. Maybe that henchman who wrote that story, had a dream about it first and just thought it was a great idea to fool the world and nothing more. Given what we know about dreams in the MCU we know that this wasn't just an idea he had, but he was seeing an alternative universe. WOW ACTUALLY GOT A HEADACHE FROM THIS.

It’s funny, the MCU already has a designation. Earth-199999. Could’ve used that instead of making it 616. Which is dumb as hell considering Mysterio guessed it. Could’ve avoided that stupid coincidence, but they didn’t.
Dr strange 1 was better, it had character development for strange. Also the dialogues were pretty Good, especially the part where ancient one's about to die and strange asks her to say , and the confrontation with dormammu. *The film was about dr strange*

This film is just a sequel to wanda vision and a feast for wanda fans. Dr strange in his so called own film was getting bitchslapped and shitless chased by wanda, only character development for him was that he moved on from his ex gf's marriage

They need to sneak in their zero-money making woke trash garbage like America Chavez into their big titles now, like she is pretty horribly written and is an inevitable low box office blunder and streaming cancellation waiting to happen; when no one buys tickets or watches from home, who isn’t a woke robot or a 12 year old. So they’ll sneak these characters into the movies with characters you actually paid to see.
The next Thor Love and Thunder movie will be woke as well with a bi-Thor who loves Star Lord and a “stronger” & “more worthy” female, wielding Mjolnir.
Then the next Daredevil will just be an Elektra movie hidden within it while Murdock is beaten up and cucked for 2 hours.

the movie has a PG-13 rating, they can show some violence but Peggy was literally HALVED. There's no real way to show that in way that keeps the rating at a PG-13. I would say she died pretty horrifically too but go off

Wanna know the 2 biggest things I hate in this movie?
1- All the characters arcs are rhe same they already went through and make no sense. Strange learned to not be a control obssessed man in his FIRST MOVIE, and Wanda "learned" what she did in Westview was bad and ruining others lifes for her benefit is not okay, but here they go through those arcs... AGAIN?! WHY?!
Also, America got.. No Arc?! Why have her in the movie then if she's just a teleporter?
2- No stakes in everything. Incursions are so "meh" cause we see nothing of how it happens and it never feels like an impendinf threath, the fights are weightless cause we don't know Wanda's limitations, nor why Magic suddenly is just bootleg Green lanters rings, the strongest evil version of Strange can only throw musical notes at someone instead of... ACTUALLY using spells!
It was a fun ride, I liked the movie, but is so... Pointless, repeated, weak
I came to see a Dr. Strange movie and got Wandavision season 2 in the Alternate Universe of Repetead inconsistency!! YAAY!!

Scarlett witch is strong, but in this movie almost all of her power just throwing porjectile to the opponent and the opponent fall for that????? * the horrible zombie makeup on strange.
* that lazy laser lord of the rings ripoff battle at the wizard base
* establishing that dreams are now your multi-universe self in the MCU
* the trolling end credit scene
* portal girl learning how to use a sling ring when she already knows how to control her teleporting power
* The horrible CGI forest when wanda turned off the cloaking spell on the apple orchard
* Professor X losing a psycic battle in less than a minute and without fighting back

@@ClippedCoin The only reason I watched the movie was because I thought it would be connected to the events of "No Way Home". The movie trailer made it seem as if the events of that movie had caused a disruption in the multiverse, and everything was collapsing. And that Dr. Strange would have to find a way to stabilize it. That would have been a much more interesting movie. But instead, we got more woke Marvel shit. Say what you may about Sony and Spiderman, but at least they are smart enough not to make their movies woke. I think Marvel was purposely deceptive with the trailer. And I know they "leaked" the rumors about Tom Cruise and Iron Man, and about Deadpool.

Casting aside how Dr strange became a side character and the assassination of Scarlet witch's character
The movie would have been a whole lot better if America Chavez got replaced by some broken universal portal Item and have Wong and strange accidentally traveling through universes trying to fix it while running away from Scarlet Witch who's also after the Item.
I'm not saying my Idea is good but I personally think America Chavez just shouldn't have existed cause she's just a literal plot device

You're spot on! This movie is horribly written. Every character that we used to love got a nice burial in this movie. Even Wanda who clearly dominated in the movie came out looking like mad queen GoT style. Her character arc got assassinated with no legitimate reason. The Wanda we knew died in 1 minute of screentime and then came this ruthless "reasonable" b tch that apparently had the will to stop herself at any time but never did until then end, After killing innocent people and heroes Left and Right.
This movie pissed me off...
I like how professor X was still wheel chair bound in the mental plane.

Honestly, the thing that pisses me off the most in this one is the utter *waste* of the concept of the Illuminati and the concept of incursions.
Like, i was there in 2013 when Hickman's incursions storyline first started in his New Avengers run, and holy shit was it ambitious. Multiversal scale, supermassive stakes, impossible choices that the characters were forced into making, it was beautiful. Sure, as the story moved forward, Hickman shat the bed on its resolution, just as he eventually shits the bed on every massive, ambitious story he starts - a bit of a pattern here. But in the beginning, it was absolutely glorious.
And what are incursions reduced to here? Oh, Dr Strange made an oopsie that one time so we kicked him out of our facebook group. Fucking pathetic, honestly.
The end battle was the same as X-Men Apocalypse.

They ruined Dr. strange by making him a secondary character, akin to Drax, than his own super powerful self. I nearly left during the movie. Just another post endgame MCU waste of time.

Strongest mutant? Are you crazy? You seemed to have hopped on the whole "Hurr Durr, Chaos magic is the bestest and strongest" bandwagon. But let me tell you that Wanda is FAR from the strongest mutant, ESPECIALLY IN THE COMICS.
Allow me to explain.
Firstly, the character who holds that title of strongest mutant is freaking Franklin Richards. His reality warping makes Wanda's look like childplay i every regard. He could make "Chaos Magic" a flavor of kool-aid with a wiggle of his finger. You wanted to talk about needing to read more, so I'll let you do you research on that and feel very dumb for thinking Wanda was the strongest mutant.
Secondly, let me throw a list of others that completely outclass Wanda in every regard. Legion, who is ironically Professor X's son. Hope Summers, who can take Wanda powers to their maximum potential and use them against her. Matthew Malloy, a bit of a lazy addition, but he stomps Wanda effortlessly nonetheless. Mr. M, who has unlimited transmutational power to alter molecular structure of anything around him and has been described as virtually omnipotent. The Molecule Man, I'm not 100% sure he's still canonically considered a mutant, but his powers hilariously outclasses Wanda's.
I could go on, but I think the listed examples are satisfactory. But again, I could keep going with this list.
And lastly, Wanda is a pathetic character. Her power is basically just "Oh, btw I can do this now.". There's no thinking, no strategy, no wit, not struggle...It's just time after time of "Oh, btw I can do this now", while hiding behind flimsily excuses like "But chaos magic..". Wanda''s not strong, she lazy and convenient writing at its finest.
Next time you come at me about comic knowledge and being an expert, you better bring your A-game, bud. XD

Who is “Splider Mein”?
The famous JK Simmons laughter with the question "you serious?" Is my overall reaction to this hot garbage of a movie.
The whole thing with the illuminati was enough to convince me of how bad the MCU might be capable of getting. It's starting to remind me of the worst tropes of shonen anime like Dragonball z or Naruto. Wanda is so comically powerful that either they have to get rid of her power somehow or some other character has to appear who dwarfs her power. What this will lead to is the same thing that happened in Dragonball or Naruto, every character who is not an overpowered bland monster will be completely fucking useless to the story. Why care about Shang Chi when in the grand scheme of things he's a powerless nothing, he's an ant next to Wanda's boot if you compare him to someone like Black Bolt who she kills in 10 seconds.

Anyone else notice in the last fight sequence Sorcerer Supreme Wong is just struggling to climb the mountain the whole time? Then ultimately does nothing? Is he useless without a Sling Ring? He was one of the best characters in the first movie, I love his cameos. What's up with that? I'm trying to think, but I don't remember him having any memorable lines. It bugged me too at the end when Wanda is chasing them through that tunnel and they stop her with a blast door?? She just made a guys mouth disappear, turned one into silly string and killed Professor X like a chump, but is out witted by a door that I'm guessing wasn't Vibranium. Why not just body control Stange, force him to open it, then dance him like a marionette while he slaps himself. Great video by the way!!

The erasure of 616 was absolutely bizarre. They knew enough to reference it but not enough to realize what you lose by making them one in the same. You could have some fun with them being separate universes but you just close the door on yourself?

I think you missed the biggest blunder of the plot: Wanda simply wants her children back who are fake and doesn't exist in her own universe. There's a very straight forward and simple solution to this: GET MARRIED AND HAVE CHILDREN. BOOM problem solved. It has never been mentioned Wanda is sterile, but if she is then find Helon Cho from Age of Ultron and fix her problem. BOOM problem solved. The kids she's going to have are not exactly the same children she had in her fantasy? Well the kids in alternate universe are not exactly the same ones and she seems to be fine with it. This movie just ruined Marvel for me top to bottom.

this is me extremely nitpicking, but i swear the first half of the movie felt like it was spy kids. America's actor (who is still a better actor than me ofc) felt forced. Her writing was absolute shit and her dialogue with other characters didn't feel natural ay all. Her one apearence in film before this really shows because the way she talked and the way her body language was shown, just felt so unnatural. It definetly restricted the feeling of immersion for the movie.

there was so much off with this movie... it was literally cringy to watch. the music scene that was so out of place... the constant weird as face close ups every few seconds. the entire movie just felt off and like teenagers had written it. this was honestly fucking painful i loved doctor strange so far

My issue is how they treat Strange in his own movie. He’s treated like a side character for Wanda’s movie.
We see him being more powerful now with his spells, but hes useless against major characters.
In Infinity War he went toe to toe with Thanos when he had 4 Infinity Stones and was, at that point, the strongest being in the universe.
But then in Endgame he’s relegated to holding back water.
In No Way Home he loses to Spider-Man.
And in MoM he spends most of the movie running away from Wanda, and the only times he fights her, he loses.
The first time I get, because usually in superhero films the first time the protagonist fights the antagonist they lose, but then at the end they beat them/overpower them.
In MoM he gets the Darkhold and stands a chance against her but then loses yet again.
Strange is said to be the best Sorcerer/magic user by the Ancient One, including her, and she had extra power and experience from the Dark Dimension’s power.
He’s not the Sorcerer Supreme so he’s not at his peak, but ever since Infinity War he has not been effective in fighting major characters, and it’s worse to see in his own movie.
He should have read the Book of Vishanti, grown in power and then beat Wanda at the end. That would have shown his escalation in power and given fans a nice tease of the Dr Strange to come, and setup him potentially becoming even more arrogant and having to understand that while he has all this immense power, he is not a god and has to use his power wisely.
It would be sort of like Supreme Strange’s story but would be a gradual progression and we’d get to see other Marvel heroes interact with him.

Endgame they went into the past to known locations of the infinity stones and essentially time kidnapped them to use in their present time, of which they returned to the past and returned them at the precise moment as to not upset the time stream or create an alternate timeline.

The whole movie became pointless when Wanda said "I was being reasonable", that basically means she could have just absorbed her before Dr.Strange even caught wind of what was happening, therefore no Doctor Strange. She is so powerful that the only way she could die, is if she killed herself, no one could defeat, even the new main character said it. Also, the darkhold that Wanda used was a copy, so she threatened Wong with his friends, to expose the true location of the book. But when they get there, turns out, they didn't need it because apparently its not a tomb but a throne that apparently belongs to her, maybe because she is a woman.
I mean it did come complete with wall art of her and her children.

I took more issue with Wong - the sorcerer supreme who only knows how to make whips of light, btw - IMMEDIATELY selling out the multiverse to save 3 nameless peons who knew what they were signing up for when they joined the battle.
This review is a breath of fresh air, yea the horror stuff and visuals were cool sometimes but it’s no 9 or 8 out of 10 like a lot of people are saying it is. The writing and story was laughably bad.

I am a straight woman like the majority of women in this world. I don't watch Marvel movies to to see wimpy men. I have never liked wimpy men nor do I like female actors who try to portray strong,not actually be strong, especially when it's contrived. The female characters weren't even likable. The only female I liked sacrificed herself and was dead after only being in it for a few minutes. I shut the movie off 1/3 of the way in. It was not enjoyable and it was as he said, cringey. It was dark, depressing, and just bad. Why do they need to have an agenda crammed down people's throats? Why can't they just make a universally likable feel good movie?

honestly, there's a lot I can overlook. I don't care for meaningless inclusion if it doesn't hurt the plot but all the "cameos" were a joke. I was wondering why I felt bitter about this movie after Dr Strange 1 being one of my favorites and you nailed it, he was being side-lined the whole time. It was Strange who ultimately defeated Dormammu using sleight of hand in an epic scene. He was the hero in his movie and in this trash he is just getting in the way of everyone else being the hero. In this one his plan was to let the women do all the work...genius! 838 was just a lazy way to include Christine in the plot because apparently he needed his women to keep him in check and Chavez wasn't enough.
Let's focus on 838 for a moment more: Prof X could have read Strange's mind and seen he was telling the truth, all that BS about "I tRuSt HiM." Moron, please, you can read people's minds! Those cuffs they used on Strange seemed pretty nifty! Neutralize magic, you say? I guess they only had one pair on hand and couldn't spare a set for some other visiting magic entity of imminent danger. Then Marvel killed by a statue falling on her was laughable. Ok sure buddy, whatever you say! Black Bolt and Reed's deaths look like some silly fatality you'd see in a Mortal Kombat game. Not a coincidence that when the femme fatales died they cut away and only implied death. Illuminati should have been fully aware what a Wanda with the Dark Hold would be like, they saw what Strange did and had to kill him because of it, yet they chose to ignore Wanda because only Strange can be bad despite their vast knowledge of the multi-verse and the Dark Hold. Finally Mordo should have been on high alert finding that Wanda had the dark hold, He, like Wong as sorcerer supreme, have "insider info" into privileged info. How can Wong aptly gauge the threat of Wanda with the Dark Hold and Mordo completely ignore it?

DS2, Thor3 & GOTG3 are the only ones I was looking forward too. They ruined DS but I was hoping it might be ok and not worse than NWH in weakening DS - I was wrong. Thor3 is obvious woke from Trailers - rehashing Thor 'discovering himself' for the 500th time & being replaced by 'King' Valkyrie & having his Birth Name stolen by Woke Strong Whaman 'Thor' - I am 100% skipping this unless unwoke fans give it a good review in Week 3+. GOTG3 is the only one I will watch as I am hoping they can't ruin so many character who are already odd bunch too badly & it is their final film after which no more GOTG characters (Drax actor leaving), Gamora (Our one dead), Starlord Quill expect to be replaced by a Female/Whaman by the end of GOTG3. I am saying goodbye to these characters then Zero watching of MSheU. Cancel Disney+ & Netflix too, keeping Amazon as I use it for Prime shopping anyway so no extra cost.

I only saw this trope of giving more space to secondary characters on a sequel work on Return of the Mummy. The first movie, The Mummy, protagonist was Eve. She was the one that did all the thinking and created the whole situation. It was well written and well balanced. The Sequel gave O'Connell the spotlight, and it worked flawlessly.
It was passable and fun for me - but I did forget about that stupid line about food being free in most universes. I wonder how the people who work in restaurants feel about that...
