A well-made video review from you, Rob. I liked the comparison slot piece on the wagon differences. It was great that Accura saved the day with these and the other Hattons stock. I've one of the earlier and two versions of these Hattscales releases. They are a smashing, superbly detailed, and the printing is sharp on the wagons. I'd recommend them as a buy. Especially for a railway maintenance train with lowmacs, or Loriet-Y with heavy permanent way vehicles, etc, on them.

The detailing parts do go in the bufferbeam . The pipe in the lowest hole with the hooked ones either side of the screw link coupling. I found it easy to fit them if you remove the bogie by unscrewing it first.

Great video as always Rob! Can’t wait for future releases from Accurascale

I've got one of the Hattons Version ones, lovely wagon to be fair, coupling height is a bit mad though, had to use magnetic ones to get it working with a lot of my other stock...
Good to see you back mate!

I didn't notice the coupling height. Will have to take another look. I ran them behind the Jinty for an hour without an issue, so that was a good sign, and my trackwork is best described as challenging 🫤 Bet the magnetic couplings look and work better in general. I've got some hunt couplings to try.

@@LittleWicketRailway i like them a lot mate, downside is no remote uncoupling, so best for fixed takes in my experience 😊

Great summary, Rob - quite impressed with both but particularly the Hattons model, fingers crossed Accurascale line up another batch... I suppose it wouldn't make much sense for them to not do so after buying the tooling.
PS I'm pretty sure I saw a clip of you videoing Hannah Lemon's amazing plants at Miniatura?

Nice video and review.I have three of those Oxford Rails wagons, they are pretty good to be honest and look really nice loaded with tanks.I guess a longer rake of wagons would look great.

I read somewhere that they ran in rakes of 9. I'm not sure how true that is, but 9 wagons loaded with tanks would look great.

Just want to point out that the Warwells didn't have the tide-down rings when first built (you can see this at 2:08) so the Oxford one is correct for the period and they are on Oxford's later BR versions. I don't believe the Hattons/Accurascale versions you have should have them for that era. I have also been told by Accurascale that the price will increase for future batches. I still think that the Hattons/Accurascale one has the upper hand in this scenario at £25, but they are out of stock and selling for almost double on eBay.

Good knowledge! Second hand prices for out of stock models are crazy at the moment.
