My wife and daughter went out of town recently and I did this for four days straight. It was glorious. It felt like I was in my mid twenties again. I'm 43.

The greatest feeling will forever be Going out to get snacks on a Friday afternoon, getting a pizza, new game just came out, sitting down on the couch, with the paycheck new game and Friday evening combo.
I recently started gaming and it’s such a nice way to chill out. Also, very rewarding when you struggle with a level and then can get to point where you pass it. Obviously it’s the last thing I do before work and my daily disciplines, but I’m really enjoying adding this activity to my life!
Honestly, I miss those days when gaming used to be the best pass time anywhere. Nowadays I feel guilt everytime I play games. Sometimes I power through it, though it never goes away.
You know you can just pause it or stop matches and go do chores or whatever around the house and then get back to it? Just cause ya grow up and have to act like an adult now doesn't mean you have to be one 24/7? Just spread your time out better and take breaks here and there. Sure, it's not like Mom is gonna take care of whatever you don't do anymore but little by little, you get it done. Also the moment you realize as a kid, you didn't have freetime like you thought you used to, you realize what your capable of in older age.

Side hustle. Do extra shit on the side. If you want to talk about games YOU like, make your own YT channel. Maybe blog. Hustle that shit and use it to improve yourself. I like clothes and I dress up whenever I get the chance to. Now I've made that my living. Bought myself a PS5 and a new living room set up (75" TV included) for Xmas two years ago. I didn't do that because I save the most money or sell the most product. I do it because I like SOME of what I do enough to get better at it all the time, play up to my strengths, and hustle my ass off. And hey, not saying that playing just the games you like will make you enough money on it's own some day. I'm just saying, if you can do that AND get something more worthwhile than time spent out of it, then that could easily translate into a better time at your "real job".
