- This video showcases Sonic Test Labs' Online Multiplayer Races. A lobby can host up to 24 players. There's also two new stages, a HUB world, and customization for your character. Huge thanks for the creator for letting me join an early build testing session!

I absolutely want to give this a go soon. I wonder if it's possible to change the speed display so it shows "mach" instead of KM/H? When it would normally be 200kmh it should be Mach 2.00 and so on, hahah

This is an absolute blast to play! The online is running through the steam API, so joining and hosting literally takes seconds!!! There's the creator and devs in the lobby as it was an early testing session. Races were intense to say the least, ggs!

I think this game had the one thing that Sonic World DX is missing...

They do wonders to give you a sense of... Well, Speed
So, realistically, in-game Sonic is running at most... 200 km/h?
That is... kinda deflating when you know his true in-game speed.
Over 400 mph is still really fast, but not breaking the sound barrier fast
These levels have more interesting set pieces than most full fledged single player fangames! The trippy trains, the convert crowd, the oil rig blowing up, this is all fun stuff
gotta say the sense of speed is superb, literally what i've been asking for from sonic games for the better part of a decade
props to the developers, this looks sweet
Sonic Test Labs sure is interesting so the online multiplayer would be amazing to improve early. Nice job!
I think the only thing I missed was Drift, for me it's one of the coolest mechanics Sonic had.
Sonic Riders drift feels so good since you get a boost after completing a turn
Unleashed drifting animation looks cool
It looks amazing, I bet racing in these maps could prove really fun

Man I hope this doesn't end up like sonic battle R being forgotten for like 9 months then get a small update only to be forgotten for another 9 months

While mildly interesting, this is an utter cacophony. The dev needs to sort out isolating the voice clips to a 'per player' basis (Ie, you only hear your character. I get that it's an early build, but it's INFURIATING to listen to multiple Unleashed Sonics at the same time.
A couple suggestions for the dev:
Since customization seems to be the focus, add an option for other era Sonic voice actors like Ryan (Adventure) and Roger (Colours onward). Do the same for Amy. And maybe add an incentive to rail grind like a 30mph increase over your current speed since drop dash currently makes it irrelevant. Still. Nice WIP.
The voice clips playing locally are low priority because you can just mute the voice in-game at the moment. They will get sorted later on.

this is the perfect example of why Sega should remove boost and just make sonic run fast I mean people keep complaining that in lost world you need a button to go fast but in every boost game you also hold a button to go fast but seriously like look how good this game looks when you run at full speed

I really like the character models here. They’re bouncy and expressive. Not entirely my cup of tea art style wise, but it’s really well utilized

Ah the game allows to change the character colors so me in the game would be perfect since I'm a chameleon. I'm only purple because I feel like. I'm also always in Super form but I change colors so nobody knows. Ninja stuff

Great idea but i really dont like the sonic model and the overal aesthetics
That seems to be a sentiment many people share, myself included. Whats unfortunate is that they just don't want to change it and are continuing to make more player models of the same style. I honestly love most of the game's look though, not sure why you don't like the aesthetic, I for one adore the comic style look and just think the character models could use a little work.
@@FlamingFoxProd I don't know, the comic book aesthetic is nice I guess but the models are probably throwing me off the worst
