I baked your cake the taste and texture was great but the color... DARK GREEN of course!!! because the sunflower seeds and baking soda interacted and turned into this color🤷🏻♀️ Now I'm curious what did you do to prevent your cake from turning green If you could answer I would be grateful🙏🏻thank you
The acid from apple cider vinegar will help to neutralize the color reaction from sunflower seeds. There's no baking soda in this recipe. Sometimes, a certain brand of apple cider vinegar did not help with the neutralization. That's the feedback I received, and when they changed the brand of apple cider vinegar, it worked. I am using organic Bragg acv. I am glad the texture and taste turned out well.

What can I use instead of yeast to make this or sunflower bread? I am allergic to yeast.
If you can't use yeast, then you will just have to rely just on the baking powder,. This will result in limited rise only
Try sourdough starter instead. But fermentation and proofing time would be at least 3 times longer than with yeast
