Dr. Lee is a forensic psychiatrist, social psychiatrist, and expert on violence. She warned against much of what has unfolded since her 2017 book, “The Dangerous Case of Donald Trump: 27 Psychiatrists and Mental Health Experts Assess a President.” Now, the individual dangers have spread into Trump Contagion, collective psychosis, collective criminality, and a third presidential candidacy! She explains the dynamics in her book, “The Psychology of Trump Contagion: An Existential Danger to American Democracy and All Humankind.” Most recently, she assembled her eminent colleagues to publish, “The More Dangerous Case of Donald Trump: 40 Psychiatrists and Mental Health Experts Warn Anew,” released in conjunction with a major National Press Club conference, “The More Dangerous State of the World and the Need for Fit Leadership.”

@alainaaugust1932 Media writes for an 8th grader's vocabulary. All over America, children observed the antics of the person on TV and asked their parents to explain. The adage is "Out of the mouths of babes - "Why?"
Now, depending on how the parents or adults answer, raises the child to think and reason. Adults who don't or can't answer groom the child. Adults who do or can answer - and in what way - grooms the child.

I'm a mental health therapist myself and have been for over 22 years. I love what you are doing and thank you. However; what can we as a collective group of informed citizens do about this? What can I do to help? How do we talk to those we love who are now victims of the Trump cult and are suffering from their own madness because of what you have explained as "contagion"?
Dr. Lee, thank you for your courageous and persistent battle for our democracy. I’m sorry both the APA head and others treated you so abominably. They are cowards and cowards hate those who act with courage. I pray this Trump era and your fight is a turning point in how the nations judge their leaders, sorting the well balanced from the narcissistic fascists. Mental illness must move beyond a characterization applied to the masses while the select few who become or want to become leaders are seen as having some type of modern divine right that absolutely ensures their mental wellness.

Why won't the media report on the danger of Donald? You'll anwer your question when you'll research how each medium is owned and who are staffed in the upper echelons.
Some of the above are Donald's supporters, some are concerned to continue employment for the very good salary & perks - and profits from ad buys. All are concerned about lawsuits of slander, etc, based on American Psychiatric Association's Goldwater Rule.

Every day there's a meeting on what news to print, who to cover & write the news for next publication. There's more - don't believe everything you may have seen on TV & and movie stories about the news. There are a few heroes in today's Media. Staff - rank and file - serve to keep the Publisher, CEO, Board of Directors (all own stock in the medium - or are the publisher's pals and major stockholders' representatives ).
Read the column mast listing the names of people who run the organization - if not there, Google the medium. Most management names may not be famous. But they approve of how the medium is to be managed and what stories/people are acceptable to be written about in the medium - with a sharp focus on profits And with stories matching their points of view . Whether in print, on air/broadcast.

Dr. Brandi X. Lee articulates in language that both the academic and non degreed students of life, can all comprehend and accept. It is currently directed at a professional strata, in terms both current with medical and legal present day context, towards those who bear responsibility, and those who are willing to usher in change to contemporary concepts of leadership and power, in a new, more nuanced global climate, where personal responsibility arises in more and more cases, as existential pressures mount (climate change, mass migration, environmental degradation, other pressures…)

Such "psychiatry the science of lies", Psychiatrist Peter Breggin has books and videos discrediting psychiatry and how psychiatry helps people by destroying aspects of their brain. Also psychologist Toby Watson and psychologist Jeffery Schaler. Dr. Jeffery said "We are building a resistance to the psychiatric gestoppo. " Psychiatrist E.Fuller Torey said psychiatry is on the same scientific plane, with few exceptions as 🧙♂️ witch doctors.

Psychiatrist are very dangerous doctors. They have a medical license and a pseudoscience practice. Alzheimers was once a "mental illness " but when it was discovered that it had a biological basis, it was relocated to neurology. So, psychiatry is left treating invented voted into existence "mental Illnesses with no know cause. As psychiatrists E. Fuller Torey has said a peculiar profession indeed. Can you imagine what someone with Alzheimers would have went through with a psychiatrist doing shock treatment, and psychotropic drugs on them? And maybe putting them in a stry jacket?

Dear “drunkpinata”, when people start voting against their own interests and for someone who has shown himself to be nothing more than a carnival barker selling his tchotchkes with his name/face on them, I’m afraid you are the problem.
I agree with you that Dr. Lee seems obsessed with this subject and is making money selling subscriptions to her podcast site. Dr. Lee has also spent her professional life, over 20 years, studying violence in society. She has treated thousands of people in prisons and she has worked with federal and state agencies in the United States and overseas.
She wrote a textbook on violence and has taught the subject at Yale and Harvard. If you had spent decades studying and researching a potentially dangerous subject and determined that the problem now had reached a level that placed human civilization at risk, would you not become “obsessed” with warning as many people as possible? Kind of like Paul Revere?
And she is not the only one. Thousands of mental health professionals, many are the most respected in their fields, have also come forward to join Dr. Lee in warning the world about the dangers we all face with the threat of the shared psychosis.
