I love the designs in the prequels, as you said they really nailed the concepts moving from republic into the empire. Always felt it has a TIE fighter vibe!
A great looking vehicle design..nicely crafted as well..I remember seeing a few of these at my TRU back in the day but held back hoping that the Michromachines Galoob series would release one..unfortunately they stopped this line..they only made 2 from ROTS...hope the new SQUADRON line release one of these..cheers Jason🍺🍺🍻
Yeah that new line of vehicles looks pretty cool. I will pick up a Republic Gunship if I see one to go in the background of my Geonosis display. Cheers
just thought i should let you know the mechanism isnt broken the wings pull out and it makes it so the button doesn't work just push the wing back in and it should work fine
It definitely seems like a transitional vehicle. It's got those elements of the Delta 7 Aethersprite Jedi starfighter, along with hints of OT era fighters like the TIE and X-Wing. In Clone Wars the Clone Z-95 Headhunter took this transitional concept a step further, but that's never been made by Hasbro in the 3.75" figure line. If Hasbro is paying attention to The Bad Batch? They might seriously consider releasing a TVC version in the Imperial deco with a logo for The Bad Batch. I've got the 2009 Imperial version, but I shudder at the thought of opening it in light of the secondary market value.
Thanks for adding that detail! Unfortunately Hasbro and the retailers don't seem that interested in vehicles at the moment. I'm hoping there is an announcement soon about the long rumoured Mandalorian N1. Cheers
@@kiwimanMAKMCSWF Unfortunately I have to agree with you. The shelf space in stores that used to be dedicated to vehicles for the 3.75" figure line shifted towards plush items and various other disposable merchandise. Definitely enjoying the vehicle reviews! MTFBWY
Another awesome fantastic video of a v wing fighter awesome vehicles collection and amazing figures reviews keep collecting and may the force be with you all star wars fans the force is strong with this one 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Heyo! Fantastic, bite-size review here, and a year late on my part, but just incase you still aren’t aware of this…I’d like to proudly mention that the spring-loaded wings feature on yours most likely ISN’T broken! I just now stumbled upon your review of it, among a couple others of yours just now, to simply refresh myself (as well as relive some of that sweet, sweet nostalgia) on this incredible Hasbro Clone Wars-era vehicle and that’s when I had decided to check back up, inspect and mess around a bit with my OWN Hasbro V-Wing and lo’ and behold, my own spring loaded wings feature DOES in fact WORK STILL, hooray! 😅 🙌🏼 Basically, all you gotta do is close BOTH the top AND bottom wings, on each side, simultaneously and you’ll then hear a very distinct and loud “CLICK!” and repeat that for the other pair of wings and BOOM! Now try pressing that lil’ exhaust port and it SHOULD hopefully start workin’ again for ya! I have also noticed that feature is a bit flaccid at times, meaning one pair of the wings don’t always spring open haha, so just be aware of that and simply keep pressing on that loose exhaust port and you’ll eventually get that other pair o’ wings to spring out as well. Usually takes a few quick presses and you’re good to go again!
@@kiwimanMAKMCSWF No problem! It's crazy. To be a lil' more specific from my original comment, I've owned the clean, non-battle-damaged version of the V-Wing that came in The Clone Wars-themed box (not the 30th vers. you have, but I'm sure they all pretty much work just about the same across the board) ever since that one first came out and I NEVER fully realized how that whole contraption worked until that very lightbulb moment given by the aid of your review just last night, ha! I always figured there was something to do with that exhaust port, due to it being so overly jutted out unlike the one below it, but I still could not fully figure it out. It's really strange. If I remember right, even the box and instructions never mention or point out anything about this very specific feature, they never go much further into detail about it other than to just say the wings can be spring-activated! But how exactly? Huh. 🤔
I had the same V-wing from TAC, but didn't bother with the Imperial paint scheme. I really liked the ship, but at one point I did a purge of most of my prequel items. The past year or so I've been thinking about getting one again, but I haven't seen one in any of the shops I've visited in years. I see nearly every other vehicle, but for some reason the V-wing is never there.
It's crazy how many ships and vehicles they made in the prequel era. The V-wing doesn't get a lot of screen time. If I wasn't going back and getting these there aren't a lot of vehicles to get.

It was also a great time for vehicles! We can barely get Hasbro to make the main vehicles these days.
I agree that the prequals had a lot of nice designs, having a display of linked vehicles through the eras would be nice to have.
What a brilliant design have never seen this properly before. Awesome ship very cool. Have to agree a paint wash would really make this pop!!

There are 2 different V-Wings, one that is Black and Grey. Awesome vehicle! 😁
Cheers Darth G. Apparently the black and grey version is going up in price because of it's appearance in Bad Batch.
