Your new house is beautiful! My most favourite house plant, and the very first one I started with is the "Pothos," also known as "Devil's Ivy." I have a few of the variegated leaf variety, and also the Neon leaf Pothos which is a beautiful vibrant lime green colour. It's a beautiful plant and is very easy to care for. You can let the vines trail or cut them back to keep it more bushy. You will need to keep cutting the vines back as they grow to keep the plant from looking straggly, and they will need to be repotted from time to time (but not often). They do best with some sunlight but will survive pretty much anywhere. Just be careful not to overwater, but that's pretty much with any plant. I highly suggest giving the Pothos a try. They will outlive you if you look after them right!! Every house should have at least one Pothos! Good luck!
