One slight correction: A DYellow goes up to 8 rather than 7. What's very, very cool about this game (As well as a really elegant system, cool minis and all that) is that Catalyst have relaeased it with a Creative Commons BY-NC-SA license, and have uploaded most of the contents of the box as free PDFs. So the entry point to the game is currently zero. (The Lieutenant's manual PDF includes a print out map and 4 ship counters)
I agree Tom. The Chief did a review of this on your channel 6 months ago and gave it a good review too! You can make it easy or hard depending on what rules you use. Very good components. It's worth the $100 price tag.
It's good to see Tom acting like a kid in this. Jumping around from the excitement. The simplified rules and the hex board seem to work great in this game. I find boring most of the other miniatures games with all the measuring and the countless dice, so this could be something I like. Good review.
Excellent review very well discussed. I've been tracking the progress of this game and reading the background. it is classsic Steam Punk. I think ist a n excelent game with lovely mainatures and mechanics, though personaly I'd rather it was free form and did not use hexes. Finally this is not in space its in the skys over Victorian Europe. I think it sits well along side Dystopian Wars and would appeal to DW players like my self.
"lots of 12 sided dice" first thing I imagined was all those dice constantly rolling right off the table. 12 siders love to roll and roll and roll, they never seem to stop for some reason. worse than d20's IMO

Thank you for not dropping the mini's!
Love this game! Will try and find this...
I've taken a look at the demo copy, it looks nice. But I'm invested in X-Wing right now.
Normally I don't mind Tom's component drop bit but I about had a heart attack when I saw this one.
hahaha, 1:10 gently places ships. nice one :)
SO MUCH LOOOORE
D: dammit tom I had it off my list after a long decision but now I want it again :(
How dare someone dislike
what was the size of the board
seems like a mash up of battlefleet gothic and battletech, not a bad combo IMO

£39.99 at wayland games get it while its cheap i got myself 2 copys
Seems very long when you've got great games like X-wing that are so simple to learn
Different colored dice isn't innovative, that was in FFG's Doom years ago.
The ship cards seems a bit complicated
