In the late 80's and early 90's the Fin-fishery decimated all the shallow water rock fish and ripped out the historical kelp forests along the California coast and islands. Sadly, rock fish remain the most glaring but unnoticed omission from our waters. It sure is a good to see several species together due to your hard work! 👏Reestablishing the kelp and the rock fish will follow.
Wonderful news! Thank you for an inspiring video on supporting the kelp forests!
Very proud to have the chance to collaborate with FRP!

this is my favorite channel on youtube. love what you guys do
Outstanding work!
Such a beautiful start! Is there any proactive urchin removal going on to keep them from munching down this new forest?
How do you deal with urchins and starfish.
Has not been an issue thus far
Plant starfish to control the urchins.
There should be stricter regs on sheepshead that regulate the urchin pop imo
😮😊
Kelp is not a plant, but rather, an algae.
NOT a plant.
