Schulz is such a breath of fresh air. He is so cultured for an american that it is refreshing. We do actually have more pyramids than there are in Egypt - they are from a different era but not many Egyptians even know this.

There is quite literally all over the world but in stature the egyptian ones are second to none. At the top of the biggest one used to be this glasspart.. that made somekinda huge prism I would imagine but it's hard to say because it's lost in time and exchat material isn't known.
Another place that just seems too precice to be true is Angor Wat, I have been there. There is the main area where is the huge building and around the few kilometres from it, was it 5 more smaller ones. It's considered oldest found monument in history and some parts of it's is mindblowingly intrqued, some minor parts have added on at differend reigns and don'r match quality, dictator Pol Pot cut most of the buddha statues head at his reign, ofcourse some fixing done for safety. Still the old parts where the stones are aligned is even hard to see and it just looks like a wall carving to a plain wall but looking closer you see the faint gaps, that takes immense amount of time and it was originally done so with the whole place.
It's those mysteries of how in the hell they made it because nearest place to get that rock is quite a far away especially on foot thru the jungle and still this exchat place was chosen. It should have taken continues work of some unholy amount (we just while back finished Sagrada Familia, still even longer time in this case) but it didn't and was done under one ruler if I remember correctly. Still not even that but there is pretty much impossible feats in the tempels aswell.

So, any Hadith that violates any principles identified in the Holy Qur’an can be simply ignored as either false or fabricated.
As a matter of fact, during the initial stages of Islam, several people left Islam for a variety of reasons. Some were forced by their family members. Others left because of business reasons. None of these people were threatened in any shape or form.
Even though some people might have violated this guidance, but this rule has been practiced by a vast majority of Muslims.
The truth of this can be easily seen in Islam’s history… Even though Muslims ruled over India for almost 1,000 years, there are still more than 1 billion Hindus living in India. Muslims rulers could have easily forced all these Hindus, and people of other faiths into Islam. But they didn’t.
Similarly in most Muslim majority countries, there are millions of Christians, Buddhists, Jews, etc., are still living and practicing their faith, without any restrictions.
So by using logic, why would Muhammed PBUH contradict Allah and the Qur'an?

I heard a theory at one point that the Egyptians adopted the Pyramid as a burial ritual from the Nubians but I’m unsure if it was true.

Besides the fact that the Qur’an allows war only in the case of self-defense (see 4:90, 8:61 and 2:190). A key word used in 9:29 is "qatilu" (fight). This word is different from the word 'iqtulu' (kill). The word "qatilu" means to oppose and strive against. For example, we read in 63:4, where the subject is those who claimed that God has a son, the words "qatalahum Allah" which mean: God opposes them and not that God holds a weapon and wages war on them! :)
The words in 9:29 instruct the believers to oppose all disbelievers who corrupt in the land, until the "jizyah" is enforced on them and they are humbled. The word "jizyah" comes from the word 'jazaa' which means penalty or punishment. Here "jizyah" is not a tax since taxes are paid by all citizens and not only the corruptors, nor is it a war reparation payment. So here "jizyah" is the penalty or punishment, according to the law of the land, which is enforced on all who corrupt or break the law.
We also have other key words in 9:29 which confirm the correct meaning; they are the words "yutu al-jizyah" which mean 'the penalty is enforced on them'. If the meaning was 'until they give the jizyah' the word "yutu" (they are given) in this verse would have been 'yatu' (they give).
This verse was revealed at the time of a war after the Muslims were continuously attacked for several years. This verse applies to a very specific context and situation and does not prescribe for a general attitude of Muslims towards every Non-Muslim.
The guidance on general attitude of Muslims towards non-Muslims is 60:8 “Allah does not forbid you from those who do not fight you because of religion and do not expel you from your homes - from being righteous toward them and acting justly toward them. Indeed, Allah loves those who act justly.”
Context is very important, so make sure you do your own research before anything, stay safe.

My worst fucking experience was visiting Giza to see the pyramids. It's not tourist friendly at all.
I got sick and tired of people trying to sell me shit every 2 minute and they wouldn't go away after saying no repeatedly.
On the way up to Giza just before the entrance the tourist guides banged my ride and fucking opened the door of my Uber and sat in the back so I would hire him as a guide.
I purchased tickets to go inside the pyramids but the guard wouldn't let me take my mobile inside without taking bribe, it was a fucking disaster overall.
Cairo is a beautiful city and I loved spending time there especially on river Nile, food is excellent & people are generally hospitable all around.

I have been to the pyramids and I agree about how pushy some of the people there can be but to fair that happens in a lot of touristy places. Even Times Square. People just throw things at you and advertise overpriced things, hoping that you sign up for whatever it is they are selling because you do not know any better. Just be cautious and do your research and try to get advice from locals on reddit, etc before you go. Also try to book tours through your hotel, etc.
