    Hi Sarah! My 7-year old son started skateboarding in March. He has great fun with it and I thought it would be a great shared experience. So I got back to cruising after... 25 years. (I'm 41). I'm more wooden than my board now. It turns out it's not as with a bicycle - I forgot everything (and I wasn't all that bad in my teenager days). I'm working on manual now, but it's more about working on my fear of slamming than the technique itself. It's funny, because when I was 16 it was never a problem and my son now also doesn't care about slamming at all. As it was a part of the package. To me, it's a horror part ;) Anyways, we both watch your videos and I'm sure we will learn a lot from you and your clever tips. We'll be following your channel, it's really great and somehow unique in the ocean o skateboard yt channels. Thank you for all your effort. Greetings from Poland! Matt

    Nice work on the manuals. Manuals take so much practice to learn and to maintain. The Colorado snow had melted a little, enough that I can skate a mani pad again. Trying manuals again is a bit like starting over since I haven’t been able to practice them for months. Keep it up. 👊👍

      they really do! I think that's why I originally wasn't that interested in them. They were just such a high barrier to entry it felt lol so much work for such little progress in my case. But, I'm glad I've been pursuing them. They are fun 😃 Hope they don't give you too much trouble back

    AS a guy who's about to take up skating aged 36, after 23 years of not touching a board, the one at 2:45 scares me the most... don't want to get injured doing that, so I've started a stretching regime to make me more flexible, but those kinds of ones worry me the most...

    Thats great Sarah! As a beginner skater im learning a lot from your videos!! One question, what wheels are you riding on? Because i want to skate on concrete and its either too hard wheels that i cant skate at all, or really soft wheels that i have a hard time learning tricks on.

    • @SarahParkMatott
      @SarahParkMatott  28 дней назад +1

      I had the 93 dragon wheels from powell on this set up. They're pretty great for bad asphalt. But, if you're skating on smoother concrete, I would actually recommend the bones x formula. I have the 97a version, and I love them! They're a very good in between. not too soft and not too hard.

    • @GeorgeKalokairinos
      @GeorgeKalokairinos 26 дней назад

      @@SarahParkMatott Thank you so much for the answer! I think i'm going to try both of them sooner or later! The 93 Powell have a soft feeling on rough concrete? Thank again in advance.

    • @SarahParkMatott
      @SarahParkMatott  26 дней назад +1

      @@GeorgeKalokairinos yes! A softer feeling than standard 97 to 101 wheels. But, they feel harder than a regular soft 93 of course with the special formula 😃

    You have such great balance at such a slow speed. Have you ever tried a freestyle board? Someone else this but I’ll say it too. It’s really hard to Ollie a nose stall on a curb that is lower than your deck.

      @@SarahParkMatott skatenator; wrong. That's what ginding is for. You're a skate grinding machine 2 4 1.
      That nose stall is solid. Now get one inch of slide on it. You'll need a drop of speed for it. But you'll want more slide so you'll want more speed after you get the slide as comfortable as your stall.
      Clock nose slide in your little book for me,
