Frieza is the perfect villain of dragon ball (Sorry cell) He's absolutely ruthless, and the word mercy doesn't appear in his vocabulary. He conveys the perfect mix of slyness and intimidation. Of course his weakness is his obsession with beating goku, but that's hat makes a good villain, they have to have a flaw. So all hail Lord Frieza, Emperor of the universe!!!!!
I like it as a subversion of expectations. This isn't really his main theme, but still, you'd expect a song about him to sound regal and elegant, but it's incredibly violent sounding instead. I think that's interesting, and makes his resurrection scene cooler.

You know the best thing about freeza storyline is, Goku and others didn't come looking for him or had any feud with him, even didn't know his existence while coming for Namek and when they reached , they destroyed the Freeza force because of a conflict of interest and then defeated freeza again due to conflict of interest and not because of his tyranny

I can't say for sure if it's the same in Japan (I suspect it is), but for many a kid at the time, I would say that Frieza was the face of intergalactic evil in a way that not even Lord Vader was.
