  • In Episode 36 of the AUA Focus Series, Shant Shahrigian, director of the AUA Center for Excellence in Journalism, sits down with two leading experts in media.
Lusine Grigoryan: Deputy chief of party of the Media Program in Armenia at Internews, with a background in journalism, media research, and media education
Artur Papyan: A veteran in Armenia’s fight against disinformation; president of the Yerevan Press Club, director of the Media Diversity Institute of Armenia, and a digital security/media consultant with a strong journalistic background
    Together, they explore:
How disinformation appears in Armenia and the wider region
The main actors, platforms, and frameworks involved
How societies can become more resilient to information threats
This conversation draws insights from the iResilience: Strengthening Democratic Practices and Media Literacy Project - a Swedish Institute-funded collaboration involving AUA and partners in Estonia, Sweden, and Ukraine. The project aims to strengthen community resilience during crises by promoting informed societies and good governance practices.

Very insightful talk, thank you Lusine and Artur! I wish this was also available in Armenian, so that Armenian speaking audience, especially the youth could learn and critically think about the information and desinformation they consume.
