    Mousinho 490 appearances
    Harley. 426 appearances
    Rehman. 367 appearances
    Total 1,283 appearances
    All defenders!!!
…no-one appears to be able to see the gaping hole in front of our back four when we are attacked week after week!!
…if we got points for media, interviews, talking etc we would be play off candidates!!!
1,283 games between and we can’t train/coach/communicate the ability of defending a simple corner!!!
Too many wannabe ‘Peps’ who think their sh!t dosnt stink!!
Well done Paul Warne for preparing your team for this League and not being overwhelmed by your OWN ego unlike others 💙

Thanks Tom and the gang and every travelling supporter, also for this vlog, watched on Sky, Derby hustled Pompey from the outset, and they controlled the midfield, Adam’s had Potts running ragged, lacking in our team, just look 3 of their players scored, Bishop had no support, only decent shot on goal came from Murphy from out on the wing, Derby seemed to win every 2nd ball. Thanks once again Tom, the players don’t deserve you all. PUP⚓️

I really do applaud you for having it in you guys to deliver us the chat so soon after the full time whistle. Concise and thought out words as well Tom, not over the top but equally damning of a terrible night. I really hope it’s a one off (or a three off if you count Stoke and Cardiff!). As Gaz said, the team looked as if it was picked in the car park. I look forward to the Christmas episode on Saturday from the four nil team.

I think this one hurt a bit extra, because of how good both games were last year(for both sides) and they absolutely milked us. It was like Man City playing Oldham.
Painful because we both come up in this league together so these are the games we have to be competing in, after a really positive run from us I am extremely worried.

I have been thinking tonight after Derby away, about why there is such a difference between home and away performances. It might not be valid but it's the only thing I can think of right now. I think that we are not used to these massive away pitches, we probably have the smallest pitch in the league (except luton) so we aren't used to these huge pitches that other teams have. Therefore, we aren't able to press and win the ball back in tight areas as the pitch is so open and we get stretched around the pitch trying to win the ball back high. Whereas, at home the pitch is tight and we can be aggressive and force teams back. That's the biggest thing I can think of at the minute that might have some validation regarding our home vs away performances even not regarding results but performances in general.

Hi Tom, route cause is equal status of JM & RH, this is shared responsibility which is lost accountability meaning there is not a football man in charge, the accountability is with AC and that’s why we are where we are. Sad Sad Sad. The club is run unprofessionally, we still have no detailed explanation of the power loss of the Millwall game.

Watched it in a pub with the London Supporters Club and it was just awful. I really don't like the "get new players" attitude normally when teams have bad games but it is sadly true here. Several players need to go and some new defenders for sure.

I am taking Nicholas Schmid out of this completely because he did absolutely nothing wrong tonight, that was dismal and humiliating collectively from back to front. Off the back of recent results, expected a lot more tonight. We have played three real solid footballing sides that play out from the back before tonight and we’ve looked dangerous on the press. Derby don’t play out from the back so the threat we’ve had recently was gone and we couldn't adapt. A lot of that momentum from the last 4-5 games was undone tonight simply on the performance alone, not the result, just like Stoke, we have made a mediocre championship side look like a top 3 side, but again, we need January signings with the physicality and experience which brings ability to adapt, especially defensively, but without name shaming anyone, because it's obvious to see, a fair few of our players are not up to scratch across the board to be playing in this division full stop.

    • @andrewpeace756
      @andrewpeace756 6 часов назад +1

Excellent comment Cameron, I feel we're lucky to have an excellent goalkeeper in Nicholas Schmid. I agree there is no point in name shaming others as it was fairly obvious in last years promotion winning season that many of the players did not have the pace, physical ability and skill to make it in the Championship. Good Division 1 players maybe, but it would have been wrong to have expected them to perform at this higher level. What concerns me is that the summer recruitment was so poor that I hold out little hope that any January signings will be any better! However if we can improve the spine of our team (centre forward, centre midfield and central defence) I still think we may have a chance.

    • @a9p528
      @a9p528 4 часа назад +1

The 4th sealed Ogilvie's fate as a League One player for me... I was screaming when he flew up on the fullback like that and left all that space behind him. Really naïve.

    • @jowiseman740
      @jowiseman740 Час назад

I think we all know a lot of players in this squad aren't good enough.
Mousinho is having to play a central midfielder as a centre back despite there being recognised centre backs being available and that is because he knows they're not good enough. Devlin isn't a right back either.
And we have absolutely nothing on the bench in terms of attacking options.
The manager can just about put a reasonable starting eleven out when every single player is fit, but he hasn't been able to do that all season.
We've just about managed to keep ourselves in touch with a few decent results here and there, but we've had to blag our way through this all season and that is because of the absolute mess they made of the summer recruitment.
I'm not exactly confident that they will bring in the kind of quality we need in January either. I have zero confidence in Rich Hughes. The guy is way out of his depth and the owners want to do everything on the cheap.
Realistically, we are at least 5 players short of being a team that can perform consistently at this level and establish ourselves as a championship team.
Mousinho has done incredibly well to find a team that can actually win games in recent weeks and put some points on the board, but we desperately need some players who can come in and make a difference straight away.

First off, Kudos for doing what you do game in game out, never miss your reports.
I think Andrew put his finger on our performance at Derby in just 3 words "Tired & Lethargic". The lads have run their hearts out for the last 4 / 5 games to get those results; "played out of their skins" is a phrase that comes to mind and I mean by that giving more than they can sustain day in day out in the championship.
To me that explains the lack of press, lack of winning those second balls, terrible passes & shots, in short that evident lack of drive at each crucial moment.
JM in the pre-match report was talking about the new techniques & extra effort in between game recovery they are adopting, so I don't think it's going unmissed.
This match explained to me why some of the new signings aren't in the first 11, which exasperates the rotation required to alleviate player knocks/tiredness while maintaining top performance.
The current set of lads can keep us in this league, but they need to play out of their skins every match to have a chance. Doesn't sound like the best of strategies to me.
With Andrew's permission, I will summarize his excellent "Tired & Lethargic" to simply KNACKERED
Reset, bounce back and on to the next one.
    PUP 💙💙💙

No decent player is going to want to come to Pompey if we can only serve up performances like that one. Supporters like TOM, GAZ who travel so far, and the Fournil crew deserve so much more. Was really up for this game after the previous 2 games and felt we had a decent chance of grabbing an away win, especially after Derbys recent form. How wrong was I?!! Dreadful, unprofessional, embarrassing to say the least. Not sure where we go from here other than to put it to bed and crack on. Survival is our priority and there are enough games left to secure that. Also, nothing worse than watching this vlog knowing what's coming... Well done Tom for keeping on keeping on!

I've said all season that if we are in touch with safety by January, we can avoid relegation. We've achieved that. Now it's over to the owners to take the championship seriously and make up for the absolutely appalling summer business that got us into this mess. This game was a perfect example of how dreadful our squad is. Mousinho can just about get a reasonable starting eleven out there when everyone is fit, but he has got absolutely nothing on the bench to change things when we are struggling in games or have injuries. Our season will be defined by the January transfer window. In the meantime, let's have a good response against Coventry at Fratton and put this performance behind us! PUP!

I don't quite know how to put this. Just like the game at Stoke it looked as if the home side had done their research on Pompey while, whoever is responsible for that, hadn't done the same on them. Also, that defensively soft underbelly is a worrying sight, and it sends a clear signal to the opponents how to play against Pompey. Thankfully January's transfer window is only 17 days away. Unfortunately there's at least three more games to play until something can be done to stabilise that back line.

Mousinho is way out of his depth, and it isn't helped by him insisting on ignoring Towler. Is Towler really so bad that he isn't worth bringing on when it's so obvious Mcintyre and Pack are nowhere near good enough?

The decision to play a central midfielder out of position instead of playing our recognised centre backs just about says it all. Devlin isn't a right back either.
The squad is a complete mess this season and Mousinho has actually done well to keep us within reach of safety.
We have absolutely nothing on the bench in terms of attacking options and if we lose Bishop or Lang to injury at any point this season we are basically relying on Murphy to score our goals.
We can just about put a reasonable starting 11 out when everyone is fit, but beyond that we've got the weakest squad in the championship.

I love PFC and always will whatever the performance on the pitch. Your reaction to last night's game is what disappoints me most. The players don't owe us fans anything. This is the kind of dross I've come to expect from moron fans who vent their frustrations online. I thought you were better than that Tom.

Another truly awful display on the road. I don't know if it's mentality, tactics, fitness, or all three, but we look decent at home. The stats tell us we leak goals with certain players in the team and we also need Murphy to do his defensive duties.
The other problem we have is our bench is mid-table L1 standard. When our players are tired, we just can't rotate. I hope at least five in, five out, is planned for Jan.

I've been a lifelong Pompey fan since I first saw Vince Hilaire running down the wing against Leeds in the early '80s. I still get goosebumps every time I hear the Pompey Chimes. We are a great city with a great football club. But as any true fan knows, they will also break your heart just as many times as they will fill it to the brim and beyond.
Keep the faith, Tom. Enjoy the ride of being a lifelong Pompey fan. Love the videos.

Let's be honest n call a spade a spade, shocking performance n derby fully deserved the win, every time they attacked first half they looked like scoring n dozzell and ports were completely over run in midfield and colby bishop was left isolated.
We badly need some new good players in Jan n I'm never gonna change my opinion on the manager, nice guy but his lack of experience is gonna cost us at this level.
Robins is without a job at the moment, his experience, knowledge n know how of the championship would be a massive boost to us, the change needs to be made or we will be back in league 1 next season.
The support was brilliant again even when the performance was awful n we truly have some of the best fans around.
    Blue army 🎉🎉

Why would Robins want to come here though?
The owners try and do everything on the cheap and Rich Hughes' recruitment in the summer was a complete joke.
Neither Mark Robins nor any decent experienced manager is going to want to work with this set up. They get away with it with Mousinho. He is probably just very grateful to get his first managerial job at a club like this and is happy to put up with it.
Mark Robins isn't going to tolerate having awful players foisted upon him by cheapskate owners and a guy who brought in a load of absolute crap this summer and be happy to try and blag his way through a season like Mousinho is having to.
If Mousinho goes, Hughes has to go too and so do a lot of the squad who aren't even close to being good enough. The amount of money it would cost to put this right and pay off Mousinho and Hughes is going to be astronomical.
No way are the Eisners going to shell out for all that just to try and keep us up.
They blew it in the summer big time. I'm just hoping we can survive this season, which I still think we can do.
January will make or break our season, but I can't say that I have much confidence in the club to bring in the kind of players who will suddenly make us consistently competitive enough to be well clear of the bottom three by the end of the season.

further evidence that you cant do this on hard work alone, you need to have talent. Pompey will find their own level and currently this isnt championship. a massive injection of monet alongside strong purchases otherwise the consequence is predictable.

I have to ask the question I'm sorry I'm probably the only fan to say this maybe it's time to start thinking of a change of manager I am aware of his achievement larst season he was brilliant and no-one should take that away from him but I think now things are going beyond him manager experience and maybe it's time has now expired would be nice to sea people's views on this

Disgusted with the incredibly low standards of this club. John Mousinho has to go now. I'd have sacked him after the Cardiff and Stoke games without doubt, too many happy clappers backing him because of what he did last season. You can get away with being poor in league 1, because it's league 1. Players should be going on that pitch with the fear of God in them if they don't put a shift in. The owners aren't ambitious enough, the recruitment is poor, but a better manager will squeeze every last ounce out of those players. Mousinho is weak, spineless and inept at this level. The players know they can do whatever they want and no one will say a word. I don't care if we lose 10 nil to Coventry, if it gets rid of Mousinho it'll be worth every goal. A better manager WILL get better performances out of these players. Mousinho can go back to Oxford and see if there's a vacancy for a toilet cleaner, I wouldn't even trust him not to fk that up as well...

    • @jowiseman740
      @jowiseman740 6 часов назад +1

So, what manager can do better with a squad as bad as ours?
Our squad is so weak we've got a central midfielder playing as a centre back because our only decent centre back is injured and the rest aren't good enough to play at this level. And he has absolutely nothing on the bench to change a game. I'm not judging Mousinho until the end of the season. The transfer window is the club's chance to give him the tools he needs to do the job.
This is down to the owners and Rich Hughes who made a complete mess of recruitment in the summer and left us with a worse squad than we had in league one. I feel sorry for Mousinho. He took us up as champions in his first full season in charge and has been expected to work some kind of miracle with a squad that is now so weak it would probably be midtable in league one.
Sure, someone like Mark Robins would be great to have at the club, but he can't work miracles either. If we spend in January and still get relegated then maybe we can question the manager, but I don't want to see a promising young manager lose his job as a result of the God awful summer recruitment that the owners and Rich Hughes are to blame for.

    • @mk1aquatic739

Someone like Robins or Schumacher would not allow their players to perform as badly as this. Warnock at Huddersfield a couple of seasons ago took a squad of relegation fodder and kept them up. He left, Huddersfield went down the next season. I've long thought that Mousinho is too weak to clamp down on players poor attitudes. The problem stems from the Eisners who have appointed useless people at every level of the club, but a better manager will get more out of this shite bag of a squad. End of.

    • @jowiseman740

@mk1aquatic739 I would gladly have Robins at the club, but why would he want to come here?
The owners and Rich Hughes made a complete mess of this in the summer.
Mark Robins wouldn't want to come here and be lumbered with this set up or work for owners who behave more like property developers than football club owners.
Mousinho has been completely stitched up this season. The players aren't good enough and the manager is having to blag his way through this.
We've got a central midfielder playing at centre back despite recognised centre backs being fit and available and Devlin isn't a right back either. He's having to play people out of position because the players we have that play in those positions are so crap that he simply can't play them. Look at the players who came off the bench last night. They're terrible. Kamara looks like a Sunday League player.
Do you really think someone like Robins would want to inherit this squad and be expected to keep us up?
      There's no chance.
