I remember an audio recorder device I bought about 20 years ago. I used to record plot notes, scene descriptions, characters, dialogues... Later, I realized the enormous amount of hours it would take to transcribe all of that by hand. Sometimes, I couldn't even understand what I was saying. I ended up giving and abandoning all those notes. Yes, this device would have been amazing back then... Asking the app about something you recorded with this device sounds awesome. Thanks for the privacy info. I always doubt if I'll lose my property using this kind of services.
Thanks for this. I didn’t really show it well enough in the video but the keynote speaker at the conference mentioned a book and podcast that sounded interesting. I realised I hadn’t made a note of either, so I checked the transcript made by the recorder. Too dense to wade through. The summary hadn’t picked this up either. So I decided to ‘ask’ the data, and up it popped. Genuinely amazed me. I work as an executive coach when not doing this and it’s bought me back days of time. Usually a 90min session would take me 2-3 hours to go through and write up- this thing does it in minutes, in pretty good order.
“Honestly, it’s pretty impressive-definitely has a lot going for it. I’m still stuck on the fence, though, debating whether it’s worth pulling the trigger. It’s one of those things where you’re like, ‘Do I need it, or do I just want it because it’s shiny and cool?’ The struggle is real, but hey, at least it’s a nice view from the fence!”
I'd say either of the Plaud devices will easily make it onto my list of 'tech that actually makes my life easier/better' this year. Doesn't really matter which one as the power is all in the app.
What would you use this to remember?
Such a remarkable bit of kit. And thanks for doing the privacy research for us,
I knew you’d appreciate the DP angle Jan!
I think you may have just sourced the answer to all my note-related problems 😍
It’s a piece of wearable AI that actually works. Unlike some of the other stuff we’ve seen put out this year!

Great review - random question - what hat is that and where can I get it from?
Thanks mate. It’s from Stetson - they have a bunch of ‘docker hats’ like this one and I have most of the colours.
