- After doing some research it seems the pumpkins have come down with a case of downy mildew. But I may be misdiagnosing the issue; so please leave a comment as to what you think may be happening.

Never seen that before you’re probably right. I’ve looked on the Internet and I believe you’ve got a correct diagnosis and I agree with you that Nem oil may be the way to go. The good thing about it is the garden will have all winter to recuperate from what organisms the oil kills.
Not sure if the pumpkins will make this time; but we'll see how it goes.
