Thank you so much for the feedback. It's great to hear you've found this content useful! That's a very good question. There isn't a single correct number here, but generally, having at least 10 people from both groups (supply and demand) makes for a big enough sample. Of course, it still depends. If you're very familiar with you niche, it might be easier for you to find interviewees, but you might also already be quite familiar with the pain points you want to solve. If you're entering a market that you know less about, having a wider pre-validation sample can be useful. Time is a factor too: pre-validation is very important, but you should also aim to launch as fast as possible. If you're still some interviews short from your goal, but your assumptions seem to hold true, it can be a good idea to take the plunge and launch an MVP. The final validation of your idea, after all, happens once you have real users transacting on your marketplace. I hope this helps! This article in Marketplace Academy goes into pre-validation in more detail, if you're interested in reading more: www.sharetribe.com/academy/how-to-validate-your-marketplace-idea-before-building-the-platform/. All the best, Katri
Thank you so much! And you're quite right; The Lean Startup has had a big impact on Sharetribe's Lean Marketplace Method as well. Best of luck with your marketplace, Katri
Good question. If you have a fantastic business name in mind, it might be good to snatch the domain as soon as possible. Business name registration, on the other hand, varies so much country by country, that I recommend looking into how it works in your area. Best, Katri
This is really great content! Thank you for making this Sharetribe!

Would you want to register a name or anything before creating a landing page to validate?
