Lyrics:
Waking up about ten, kid
Jumping in the shower, peace, about to make moves and slide like grease
What? I'm all about TECs and checks with 'nough respect
You front, I'm slamming you like the Lex
So now I'm out in the ninety-five
Rocking that "Real Niggas Don't Die"
Guess down, drawers Kani
But, yo, I'm making a pitstop
Go and buy a box of Glocks
It equaled up, pay up, what up, 'Ak?
Yo, remember that kid that we vicked?
He made a half of mil' for real
We brought about four bricks
Yo, so now we connect thoughts
Meet me at the airport
Tell Golden Arms maintain the fort
Get in touch with that West Coast Cali crab you stabbed
And meet me at the bitch lab
So word up, kid, we slid like a fat four to twelve bid and shit
Couldn't even rest, I need the vic'
And when I slept, I dream G's, son, I need some
Keys won't sell, call up son
I heard Pook and Tyriq caught a beef over some real shit
A fake nigga faked and they killed his clique
Give me a minute and I'm winnin'
Yo, niggas done did it
Rock your vest, keep your whip tinted
So now we see him up in Bojangles strangling a forty ounce
With ten G's worth of gold bangles
Diamonds, what? All up in his face
With his man's mace
Medallions the size of dinner plates, yo
He knew we knew him so we blew him
Took thirty G's worth of jewels off that nigga, do him
So now I'm lamping in my man's land
Streets is hot like sand
G's is rolling in my right hand
Yup, you know the steezo black
Lot'll go down like that
Shallah, cigars and mob hats
Ninety-four, takin' niggas to war, yo, yo

After 29 years this is still fresh.
Timeless. No expiration date.

PEACE from The VIRGIN ISLANDS ✊✊✊
My favorite album 💿 of all time
Almighty Purple tape,Rosetta stone of NYC gangster rap!!!😈
All them old solo wu tang. Are really good. RIP old dirty bastard.
Never realized in the credits that Ghost had a daughter named Destiny that passed away. The amount of resilience and focus to overcome a hardship like that is mesmerizing and inspiring
he never shows any of that in his music he always keeps that same flow
Sacrifice
He lost her when she was a baby. Her twin is his son infinite ( who is still alive/his gay son). 😢. So sad. Can’t wait until the episode where we can see the background of it being discussed. 😢
@Attila Steele I was hoping it would be but you’re right, it’s too sad. 😢😢
@@Ilovechicago100 it’s not in the show. They only had one instead of twins
The way Ghostface walks into the club is one of the most gangsta shit I've ever seen
Facts he walks in so confident.
how about rae walking out of bed with tims on
@@smiauu Lmao word
Rae came out the womb with Timbs on son !!!

This video is 90s NY perfection
Only Raekwon and Ghostface Killah can make a story about robbing a drug dealer sound like a poetic love song 😂 Rap doesn’t give you this feeling anymore
Nah fr 😂😂😂😂
You get an A+ for that
🤣🤣🤣
Wat u said...this kinda rap created fond memories
Straight up
My absolute favorite on the album. The soul of this shit is amazing
Syl Johnson “Could I Be Falling In Love” is the sample.
Rza had some of the best production in hiphop hands down..chef and ghost ate them shits up 💯♠👍🏽
Right on
Word up!
Soulful brova 💯💯💯
Top Hip Hop producers in the 90s everyone wanted was RZA, Eric Sermon, and Dr Dre. Everybody else was in the middle but the hardcore beats? Those were the three everyone talked about.
RZA’s run from 93-97 as a producer is the best of all time in my opinion. The first Wu album, followed by Meth, then in 1995 alone he does 3 classics with Ol’ Dirty, Raekwon and GZA. Ghostface in 96 and Wu Tang Forever in 97. Those were all classics at the time and they still hold up to this day.
Raekwon & Ghost got that good chemistry going with those bars. Wu-Tang Clan is legendary.
I love how all the wu members are in the video. Their unity is amazing.
The beat is so smooth. The chemistry between ghost and rea with exchanging lyrics is just something else
ODB is not in the video i don’t think!
Still looking at this in 2020.
Me too..nice to meet you!
Me Murat from Turkey 🇹🇷❤🌹
me tooooooo ! from japan
Facto
Toronto!
Rae & Ghost dropped a couple of bangers with Mobb Deep too. Word Up, they sounded nice together....
One of the best tunes of all time
This song brings tears to my mfkn eyes...back in 94 living in deepside in Lauderhill fl....we where living every part of this song....shit was live as hell.....
One my peeps was always getting pulled over so one time he asked this female officer why ? She said " welcome to Lauderhill boo. " 🤣🤣
Hell yea got some ppls in the 5519 to bih
One of my favorite rap songs of all time. Raekwon and Ghostface are two of the illest rappers ever.
"A little hundred dollars thinks that makes you a man?" Reakwon is crazy. Top 5 MC
The greatest duo in rap with the flyness
In 1995 I was 18 in the US Army, stationed in Germany and this and other classics from the iconic 1990s (Adina Howard, Montell Jordan, Mobb Deep, Bad Boy, Xcape, Jodeci, Mary J, and others). rap and R&B was the soundtrack of our barracks.
One of the hardest beats ever made
All these years, the 1 thing that stands out the most is not the 90s Backdrop of Inner City Staten Island, Ghost and Rae's untouchable chemistry on the Mic together, the "product of its time" Nostagia throughout the vid or RZA's production.........it's the Random Fat Joe Cameo in the end
This is that drug spot rap that counseled hustlers. Makes me cry just reminiscing on how I felt in them hallways dreaming, living wild, getting money and power at 17. This was our gospel music.
Stark’s woman in the car is a lot! I been in chefs position too much tho lol
lmaoooooo
Wing man
Winging it
😂😂🤣
😂
what about the broad at 1:10... woah
Yooo at 3:03 that’s Nas getting the dice 🎲 back with that stick lol word is bond
Its crazy how many people come back to this everyday... this song is a masterpiece!
Beautiful track. Been playin this since the 90's. I had a clear tape in my walkman😂🎧 (mine was dubbed from a mate's cd)
The sample is Syl Johnson : Could I be fallin in love.
70s babies all.day every day. That SOULHOP🔥
Blue Raspberry...man oh man. Her vocals...since I first heard this track (and def. on Rainy Dayz)...so soul soothing!!!
Too bad this isn't the full album version of the track and is censred. Smh Then you could experience the full power Blue has evoking the emotions similar to how Jill Scott, Erykah Badu or Anita Baker does for me...in my personal opinion of powerful songtresses.
"Stay Awake to the ways of the word cause shit is deep" Wu-Tang Forever, still bumping in 2023 🔥
That line is from cream 1993 bro
Some of the greatest shit of all time..
Another gem from my hey day....brings back memories of the mid 90's. Magical times when everything was more real, more pure, less generic and soul-less and disposable like the last nearly 20 years. A time before the internet, social media and cell phones came along to kill real human experience....and in turn killed real music that came from the heart and not just treated like another accessory. That's how I see today's music, it's like downloading the latest app lol
Facts
''Get in touch with that west coast Cali crab you stabbed.'' Salute to Ghost for spittin whatever he felt like and wasn't worried about any beef.
He’s talking about a lady, they used to use wild slang for fucking like stabbed
Damn! This brings me back...so blessed to have been brought up in this era
So true I remember when this came out back in 94 I was in fourth grade the wu had shit on lock everything they put out was fire
@@dj1na oh, true indeed
On of my favorite songs
When that movie is eventually made about Frank Matthews, that anticlimax nemesis of FBI's storied wars on drugs, it'd be an unforgivable dishonor if this hip-hop classic wasn't its soundtrack
My life was hard them times, "what do you believe in? Heaven or hell? We dont believe in heaven cause we're living in hell" I related to that shit. I'm so proud of myself that my kids will never understand that line.
🌬💛
If you believe in hell you should believe in heaven too.
1:15 looks like cappa in the back
We used to be in heaven with good rap now we in hell 🔥 with bad rap
Well said fammo, this $s®€¢t now is definitely 👿 rap.

Here in 2024 I miss 90s rap😢
Ah man, I was waiting to hear Blue Raspberry say "that shit is so nice" but it cut before. It's such a genuiene expression, cause the track IS THAT NICE.
Before there was a Jadakiss and Styles P, there was Rae and Ghost
Love You Wu Cats! Much Love From Little Rock, Ar WU SOUTH!!

syl johnson "could i be falling in love" i love too from japan
We going to miss those rhymes. Nowadays ain't nothing compare to this.
They would always play this video at the end of Rap City and the credits would roll right when Rae was about to kick the hook.
The music and beat to this song always reminded me our family listening to Al Green headed to Arkansas from Texas on those back country roads to visit my Grandparents. We would see big old victorians on hills and tiny shot gun houses on streets with people sitting on their porches. RZA could create all kinds of emotions with his sounds.
Shout out to the Gods... Verzuz ended perfectly on this.
That raw winter nyc 90s rap era would always be my favorite
So much love for this…25 more years…🫶
Acura Legend *still* looks good
There’s no weak link in the Wutang . Sometimes masta killa or u got the best verse
