Really enjoyed this interview. Jason Stein is a proper interviewer and Lynn Calder is proper CEO. Both are passionate about their jobs and the future of the Ineos Grenadier. The whole interview is insightful on the Grenadier Ethos and Mission they are on. My favorite part was at 44:30 into the interview where Lynn Calder is talking about their South Africa Grenadier Trip. My Grenadier is set to arrive in California by April 2024, just in time for my birthday. JWE aka DaBull

So she is qualified primarily on account of having a vagina?
And why would any buyer care about the company being involved in bicycling or F1? What does that have to do with making SUVs.
      Clearly, she will fail.

Very well researched interview. Surprised how personable Lynn Calder was and came across as very knowledgeable. Enjoy your Grenadier DaBull, had mine 6 months and its brilliant.

Lynn Calder is so right about the Grenadier; it is a fantastic vehicle on the highway. Mine has been with us briefly, but it is astounding... Thank you

My vehicle has also been with us briefly - and has now been back at the dealer for 5 weeks - with no resolution to the problem in sight.

The Grenadier is a truly outstanding vehicle, and so great to see in a sea of boring, lifeless SUVs designed to take you to the mall and back.
It’s got heaps of character, extremely heavy duty (just look at how overbuilt the undercarriage is) and truly designed to do heavy duty off road exploring. It’s purposely not going to drive like a car, and because of that it’s far better off road. This is an important distinction.
One of the saddest thing is what Land Rover did with the new Defender, turning it into a plastic covered, smooth car pretending to be able to do REAL off roading.
Lynn seems very adept, and I wish nothing but the most success for Ineos Automotive, and the amazing Grenadier!

I had one of the first deliveries in the US. Very happy with my dealer experience and the vehicle BUT, INEOS, if you are listening, please fix ADAS for the U.S. market.

Diesel engine offering would propel this vehicle to legend status in the US.

BMW pulled the emissions compliance for the diesel engine in the US. (I have a diesel Grenadier in the UK)

Interesting interview with Lynn Calder. In my opinion the Grenadier stands on it’s own in the North American market (U.S and Canada), there was not a UTILITY WAGON available until this 4WD came out. Most if not all SUV’s these days are use as cars and or off road toys, modifying and installing every accessory in the catalog has become a trend and perhaps an excuse to go camping and see what is the biggest rock you can climb on your way there. a.k.a. Overlanding. I wish all these people would watch the Camel Trophy series and see how much you can accomplish with a stock 4X4 before wasting money for the sake of looks.
The Grenadier is an exceptional 4X4 for what it’s meant to be used as. A durable and capable work horse.

I think as nice as they talk about the Grenadier also being great as a daily driver in the US, they’re going to have to up the game in that regard. I’m a US reservation holder and recently had a test drive pending delivery (this month) of my spec car. Since I’m not a rock crawler and not off-roading daily, use around town is important and the test gave me serious second thoughts. On-road use in any US city requires maneuvering easily in traffic and things that troubled me were the large turning radius and required steering rotations -as well as very poor rear visibility and a backup camera that was plain terrible and with a tiny screen. At the dealer, I almost backed into a guy because I couldn’t see out the rear and the camera & screen were of no help spotting him. Hope they sort that stuff out soon and make it close to as great on-road as it clearly is off.

Fascinating. And now perhaps Lynn could comment om my vehicle being back at the dealer for 5 weeks, with both the dealer and Ineos Technical unable to diagnose the problem with the cabin heater/ aircon.
But, as I have paid for the vehicle in full - maybe this is simply my problem, and not an priority for Ineos.
