I had just started college and decided to watch an NFL game after not watching football for ~10 years. I never really had a team.
This was the game I ended up randomly putting on and I became a lifelong Browns fan. Follow them religiously now every season.
Always a special place in my heart for Baker for that.

I was at this game and it was so loud! When baker came on the field everyone stood up and the stadium changed. Everyone got silent. Then that first throw happened and it was like a concert in there. It was the loudest I’ve ever heard that stadium. When we took that final pick I cried and so did everyone around me. It was one of the greatest nights of my life!

Not a Browns fan at all, but seriously this was one of the best games to watch as a fan of the game.

All you need to know about Hue Jackson is neither Baker Mayfield or Nick Chubb started this game. Mayfield came in to save it and Chubb didn't play.
Only thing you need to know about hue jackson is Freddie kitchens gets dogged hard about how bad they did and he has more wins then hue

Baker Mayfield has a playoff win and is 25-23 as the browns starter.
Sam Darnold got traded for a future second round pick.

While I think that Baker is better than Darnold, you can't blame Darnold for what's happened to him. Had Baker, Allen, or Lamar gone to the Jets none of them would have succeeded either.

For what it's worth, I think you guys will surprise a lot of people this year. With Beckton and Vera-Tucker, the Jets are quietly building an elite OL around Zach Wilson.

For the Baker haters who say he is the weakest link...watch this game. Tyrod is a good quarterback but they stacked the box and dared him to beat them...he could not. Mayfield makes teams respect the pass...forces them to play safe and keep DB's and Safeties back...Chubb and Hunt are special, but Mayfield makes it go...he is the heart of a second round playoff team this year, and this upcoming season is going to be even more special...it all started here on this night. If the Browns become the consistent threat we believe they can be...here you go...turning point!

The only reason the Jets lost is cause Darnold has a case of the queefs but still decided to play through. He’s a real talent with an incredible arm but he’s been suffering with his o line who was scouted multiple times by me and a few other professionals who say they’ve dealt with poopy pants during games. Hopefully the Jets can get things together and make a deep run

@@ungartothemax20166 He's throwing less interceptions this year. The team overall is much better under Stefanski, especially the running game. They should be able to make the playoffs, although I don't know if they can beat really good teams (Chiefs, Steelers, etc.). That might take more time. Still, it's progress!

Funny thing is that Baker scored a touchdown with that same basic play in the Rose Bowl just a few weeks before Philly used it.
I saw this game live and as a die hard Browns fan from Cleveland. I've never seen a rookie QB with his helmet on and ready to go. Once Mayfield walked on that field. I felt things are gonna change for the Better

Tyrod Taylor is tough to watch sometimes
The way he played in this game was legitimately SHOCKING. It was without a doubt one of the worst QB performances in NFL history...and that is absolutely NOT an exaggeration.
Due to Covid, I am sitting and watch this game while I am comparing this team and the actual Browns. WTF are they playing and doing there? Absolutely terrible calls! I was rooting with the Dawgpound in the 2016/17 seasons, but this game turned me into a Browns fan. Greets from germany

i have always liked the browns since early 1990's. I like the color scheme, the stadium, the history and the current players. It would be great to get this team to the SB!

I doubt this will ever be seen or answered by anyone but @ 1:05:17 how can Troy freaking Aikman not understand Baker's 2nd throw of the game to Njoku was thrown behind and low to him on purpose to avoid the TE from getting drilled by the safety(#36)? CTE is my only guess as it was one of the best throws in the entire game. This will forever bother me.

The jets had a hectic scedule before this game. This was their 3rd game in 11 days i believe. You can see the difference in the intensity of the pass rush at the start of the game compared to the end of the game.

Coming back years later to revisit Baker’s coming out party after he won a playoff game last year (and Browns just extended him for his 5 yr option, while Darnold’s befn given up on in NY and traded to Carolina for peanuts), and the thing that most jumps out at you in this game: Damn Tyrod sucked. Don’t ever wanna applaud an injury, but thank God Baker got in when he did.

@@justinmix143 I liked him a lot coming out of college...undersized but very competitive, accurate and threw a good deep ball. But the NFL eventually was able to exploit his weaknesses and limitations and limit his effectiveness.
