The Korean rappers tore RM and Suga apart for betraying hip hop Plus RM and JHope got it from kpop fans that they werent pretty enough to be idols. They got even by making better music and channeled a lot into the 4 rapline Cyphers that directly addressed haters in rap community. Man you've no idea how bad RM got it. His peers kinda abandoned him, got called names and slurs and at the same time the kpop industry wasn't accepting either. He was 'Ugly' by their standards. Man got heat from both sides. It really affected him but he kept it together somehow.

One of the reasons I believe Halsey got so little lines is because the song needed to be able to exist without her. Like most artists, they go on world wide tours. For a title track to exist as the title track, it needs to be able to exist on its own even if it has someone featured in it. Halsey can't just go on tour with BTS and to all of the shows they go on. It wouldn't make sense.
Halsy didn't have much of a part in the music video but there is versions of the song like the studio version where she's singing more. There's also another version of the MV. It's just that the more popular version doesn't have as much.

My favorites are on Colbert (as if on Ed Sullivan on black and white tv) and the dance practice version. There is also an extended explanation video that digs into all of the visual references and the concept of removing the barriers between the onstage person/persona and having an actual "personal" relationship with the fans. BTW, Halsey's presence in the MV was very confusing to me, because I knew absolutely nothing about who she was, and I was trying to get a handle on who was in the group.

I believe they were the only group that dared hit back so hard, cause they were literally ready to dismantle the fakers and show who had the better skills. When RM said in the lyrics he'll give them the beat to try rapping on it, it was over. None of them could top what RM just did. They were just silently bitter for years as BTS continued to grow until they became national treasures and ambassadors and still kept growing. They occasionally left petty posts as BTS continued to grow bigger and bigger, and by now, they've been left in the dust.

About your question if RM was dishonored by the rap world in korea or not, actually Suga and RM were mistreated (there are even videos at some kind of meeting with other rappers) by other because they said they were rappers but they were also part of an "idol boy band".
