- Alan Blair, Tom Forman, Alfie Willingale and Henry Lennon head to East Delph Lakes for a Spring day session with a twist! 🎣
The guys are handed a Waterbox filled with a limited amount of terminal tackle and that is all the gear that they are allowed to use to try and outwit the carp that reside across the three lakes on the complex. With bragging rights at stake, this 'friendly' competition sees plenty of carp visit the bank on a variety of tactics, making for a prolific day session despite the tricky conditions! 🙌

Evening all. I’m the fishery owner. Really enjoyed having Team Nash down for the day and found their enthusiasm for being on the bank infectious. To answer a few of the comments…. Artificial baits were banned from my fishery on May 1st after the film was made. When the film was made artificial baits on zigs were permitted and there was no intention to ban. The reason for the ban was a carp was found tethered on a zig with artificial baits. The rig looked like they had been in the water a fair time and must have been lost before the last lockdown. As you all know with artificial baits it’s quite possible that poorly constructed rigs will be ‘live’ for years. The decision was made with the carps welfare in mind.

Yeah i was expecting a bit of a challenge. But it ended up being just normal bait and rigs. Shame, with a bit of thought it could have been alot more interesting.
I was expecting something like mark pitchers had in his videos... but this is like, here take everything..
Oh the irony. Despite this trying to be an advert for Nash pre tied rigs and fancy bait. The rig that caught most of the fish was a simple mono hair rig and 2 bits of sweetcorn. 😂

This became one big advert as soon as they opened the box, i was expecting something fun and unpredictable, you just gave them what they needed anyways 😅

love to see experience anglers catching fish but have to agree about the marketing ploy but then again we all have to pay the bills tight lines one and all gotta love the Nash boys big ups 👊👊👊

Yep, was there fishing the Long lake on Saturday night.
Took 2 barrow trips for our gear and the ground was rather swampy 😂

Hi Ashley, the instant Action range are incredibly popular with the team, however on this occasion they were only allowed to use what was given to them, Citruz and Scopex Squid 👍

Hi Wayne, we would recommend looking at either the 3.25lb or 3.5lb test curves in either 9ft or 10ft 👍

The whole ‘not doing them over’ with the tackle theme was a bit disappointing tbh.
1...these guys had a challenge
2...had to try to get 1st 2nd 3rd 4th choice of swim
3...had basic mystery tackle box for the challenge
4...catch most fish etc

mystery box had everything you would have on any normal trip and all had the same so pointless not just saying everyone has the same box instead of numbering them lol
didnt matter where you fished its an easy day ticket lake with probably thousands of carp jumping over them selves to get the food!!
i was expecting a proper challenge not an advert on products cause thats basically where it could have stopped after 30 seconds if the case
nothing different would have been done by any normal fisherman in my opinion
i could have done just as good with a broom handle a length of line a giant match stick and a hook with a bead as bait!
