Roxette, we are proud of them here in Sweden! 🇸🇪Per and Marie were old friends, living in the same town, Halmstad. In the late -80 i was on a concert seeing Pers other (previous) group Gyllene Tider. In english Golden times. Marie were with them as a backround Singer. Me and my friend met them after the concert and they are both lovely, down to earth people. Sadly Marie sufferd from a brain toumour for several years and passed away in december last year. Gyllene tider and Roxette acomplished a lot in swedish music history. They made the song ” It must have been love” in the -80 movie ”Pretty woman” with Julia Roberts and Richard Gere.
nice one, envy you. ^^ Im even proud of them without being swedish, just a fan. Been to one concert only sadly. but it doesnt matter considering the time i spent on listening to their music... (mostly 20 years ago, but it had a big impression on me)

I grew up on this stuff. I love all these 80s and 90s songs. My mom was 17 when she had me in 86 and she was a single mom so in the car we would always turn it up and rock out to good music. Im thankful for my upbringing bc I know almost all the classics.

I remember the day this song came out I heard it on the radio while I was getting ready for school..I loved it. Then as about 50 of us kids were walking into school one of my favorite classmates yelled over everyone "HEY DID ANYONE HEAR THAT NEW SONG BY ROXETTE?? and every time I hear this song I think of that lol

Crazy how I heard this on the radio and my dad never changed it. My dad was able to show me what great music was around when he grew up. I'm thankful because he showed me what the golden music was all about. I grew up on the best music in the world thanks to my dad. Great reaction man. One of the best of the 80's by far, check out "Dangerous", " Joyride"," Listen to your heart", "Fading like a flower", you will NOT be disappointed. So sad to see her leave us, a very beautiful woman with such a velvety yet powerful voice.

RIP Marie Fredriksson.... It was a sad day when she passed away for real for real. She has done it all musically. What really sticks out to me are her ballads tho. Especially the ones in swedish (!) but "It must have been love" and "Listen to your heart" are bangers!

Another great song of Roxette is "How do you do", it showcases both, Maries and Peers voices and how beautifully they worked together and have been close friends. If you ever find the time to do so, I'll sugest you should react to that song (if you haven't already).
Edit: at 4:57 - yes, it may look a little bit sexualized, but, hey, Roxette was/ is a european band. We're not that prude over here and absolutely have *no* problem with pictures like that. It's human nature, so to speak, so nothing wrong with that. There's no sexism or abuse or anything like that involved in pictures like that.
