Corduroy is in my top 5 best PJ songs of all time! When I first listened to this track, I remembered how I felt…I said: I’ve got to play this banger with my band! Love Vitalogy!
Very very very very similar listing for me, however No Code is at #1, with the rest of your list falling in roughly same order (though in mor e recent years I place Binaural slightly ahead of Yield by the slightest margin). Based on your comments about how and what you liked, I was calling out your next picks as you went along. LOL So where do you place "Dark Matter"? For me at present it's up near the front of the "new" albums, Avocado onward.
Cheers. Erm. Dark Matter. Really enjoying the album. I may end up doing an updated version of this video at some point in the summer. Once I’ve made my mind up.
Agree. I like Riot Act much more then Avocado. There are some mediocre stuff on it (IMHO Help Help, Bushleauger, Green Disease, Get right with me , I am mine), but those good songs are really, really good.
Great video mate, that was really interesting. Think I said during your concert premiere that they're not a band I really know, other than Beavis and Butthead doing the Jeremy video but it's nice to hear a fan's top tracks. More of these would be cool 👍🏻
I’m a huge PJ fan like you since the band’s beginning. Lost dogs album was not in your countdown list. Perhaps you consider it as a not normal album. Anyway, you did a good job in this video. Your point of view is similar to mine and I guess to most of the fans. Of course nobody is about to agree totally with your ranking but it doesn’t matter anyway. Backspacer is my number eleven. Pearl jam or avocado is my number one. I expect from you more videos about or favorite band. Keep rocking man.
Cheers my friend. Yeah I did consider Lost Dogs to be put in the list. But as it was rarities and b sides i ultimately decided against it. Which in hindsight could have been a mistake. I’m not sure where I put it in the list. Probably somewhere from 8-12 then. Some good songs on Lost Dogs. Yellow Ledbetter, Sad, Alone, Fatal etc. Anyway. Thank you for the comment. And I’m sure there will be more stuff on Pearl Jam in the future. Have a great day. Best wishes. Scott & Wanda x
Great vid! Yield is my favorite jack irons is my favorite drummer of theirs so you won't be surprised to hear that no code is my 2nd favorite...love the sound on those records. no bad LPs though! Yield No code Binaural Ten Vs Pearl jam Riot act Vitalogy Back spacer Gigaton Lightening bolt An old touring friend of mine supported them in Australia and Japan on the riot act tour as part of johnny Marr's band and said they were really nice guys esp Eddie and boom the keyboard player..top band that's had great drummers
Cheers Stuart. I always find it interesting listening and reading about other peoples views on Pearl jam and why they like a certain album more than others. I do think they’ve lost something over the past couple of albums. But. As a live band. They are still fantastic. I have no doubt they are decent guys. They do come across that way. I should have mentioned I’ve never really been into their political rants and the context of their songs surrounding these issues. etc. but have always just washed over that. Still a great band. 31 years later. Cheers mate. Have a great day.
@@ScottReviewsThings yes I agree ...it's hard to keep on making great records from start to finish that deep into a career. Just staying together can be the hardest part in a band and they are a great band I get the feel there's still a lot of respect between the members
Their first four albums are the best ones for me too. After that I would have Backspacer and avocato. Best song ever? I can't listen it anymore but black is black. Also given to fly, corduroy, once, porch, who you are, brain of J, marker in the sand..
@@ScottReviewsThings Sorry you walked into that one, couldn't help myself. She dreams in color she dreams in red, can't find a better man. Awesome song.
I like my old punk grunge dirty Seattle kids PJ. Sadly my CD player in the car broke a little bit ago so I haven’t been able to play all my cds. Just sounds better on a cd then a phone like vinyl sounds better then cds.
Hi Bob. I COMPLETELY agree. Something so much nicer about CD and vinyl. Especially vinyl. I remember when Vitalogy came out on vinyl before CD and loved it. Just a more wholesome experience.
@@ScottReviewsThings exactly man. I grew up in the cd age hell it’s still cd age to me. My pops has his vinyl collection that’s great. My parents are basically music wizards 😂 so I like good tunes. One of favorites is a guy named Ike Reilly. Badass. Check him out.
I’ve never been into the cure mate. He just annoyed me. Liked some of their songs that’s about it. And it’s a toss up for me with Vs and Vitalogy. Take the shit off vitalogy and it rocks.
I rank them in the order they came out...and the first 3 are 80% of there set lists...

I might be one of the few fans who love Riot Act, it’s such an underappreciated album! Avocado would be in my top 5 tbh
there are some good songs on riot act.. no doubt.. but for me.. it just felt a bit phoned in

100% agree about "Corduroy" man what a song...
Just the best song ever written
Brilliant! Really enjoyed that. Even at their worst Pearl Jam are better than most. Eddie’s new solo album is one of my favourites of the year…..
Hello Anthony thanks for the comment.

Absolutely love Pearl Jam. Some terrific songs over the years. Really looking forward to the new album next year.
Watch out, you might find Wanda listening to Better Man over an over. 🤗
