First home I purchased was built and owned by an Undertaker in the 1880’s. What was my dining room was the original viewing room. My youngest boy at the time kept running in my room at night saying the tall man in black was in the corner again . Sold it 2 yrs later😮
Wow, I once rented a house that a man killed himself in. It was strange the TV would go off and on. My daughter woke up and said someone was walking towards her. But we had little things go on in that house..
Absolutely one of your most interesting and incredible filming you have done. The first room you thought was the embalming room was were caskets were kept and families could view and purchase for loved ones. Truly amazing. Can not believe what beautiful furnishings left behind. Thanks for allowing us to tag along. Great find.
Before the idea of funeral homes, people that died usually were presented in the front parlor of their homes for a day before burial in the family plot. I can remember when my Gramma died, her casket was in her front parlor for a day so her family and friends could pay last respects. Great old house Kappy, the woodwork was gorgeous. ❤❤
I remember, my grandparents home had three caskets in the house, grandfather and two of their grandchildren. That was the time in the 50/60’s for me. Remember having to have someone stand guard 24/7 for three days before the service and buried. Back then the blood was not drained out of the body and really the deceased could have been in a coma and not really dead before buried. I remember staying up one night with my grandfathers body and it was the scariest night ever and I was about 14 yrs at the time.
there was a pair startled at 4:17-4:19. Seems like that stuffy, 'airless' and stifling atmosphere is kinda characteristic to being in the presence of other entities. I often wonder if they see the surroundings as what we see. What is their reality?
I saw that too, so I went back to watch it can't tell if it's an orb or a bug. Hi to Ruby, it's been awhile. Poor old house. Funeral homes really creep me out. Love the old woodwork and stained glass and bathroom tiles. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😂❤❤
That house must have been beautiful when it was first built. Loved the woodwork, fireplaces and stained glass. It’s future as a funeral home is just plain creepy. Thank you to Ruby for finding the embalming room and thank you Kappy for another great video.
Kappy you found a gem of a queen anne! I grew up in a smaller version but many of the details were the same! That wallpaper was pretty intense! So glad to see Ruby along she has great instincts as strong as your spirit of adventure!! This was a great video really interesting!! The kitchen could have been great for stills!! Thanks Kappy
The container that you were wondering about in the embalming room( cylindrical shape) is what they use in the process of removing the blood and putting in the preservative in exchange. I had a good friend who was a funeral home director/embalmer.
I thought the same thing that is what it was for removing the blood. I am so glad I am being cremated its such a distasteful part of dying. Anna In Ohio
@@buckeyedav1 I've always joked that mosquito bites are like being embalmed on a minute scale. They take your blood and inject poison! Neither option ( cremation vs embalming) appeals to me. Lol
yes, that's the embalming machine but they don't suck your blood out with it, it pumps the embalming fluid into your arteries and since it's pressurized, it effectively pushes your blood out of your veins and replaces most of the blood with the formaldehyde solution. funeral homes have weird energy but i think spirits seldom hang around them.
What an awesome adventure! I can only imagine all the doorknob hardware stripped of all the layers of paint. They must be gorgeous underneath! Also, kudos to persistent Ruby for finding the embalming room. You go, girl! We knew it was there somewhere…. 😮 LOL’d when you asked if she wanted to lay on the embalming table! 😂 And great catch on the “Grand Finale” hairspray! Another LOL! Touché! 🤣 Finally, I’m so glad to see this place graffiti free! Well…except for the REDRUM…which, I’m not gonna lie, did make me giggle/snort a little! 😊 A+ on this one!!
What a grand old house it was in its younger days. Most Victorian homes that were turned into funeral homes are set up similarly. We have many up North. The huge room is for the funeral services that can accommodate a large crowd. The first floor has lots of smaller rooms for reception, family room, bathroom and office. You are right... The upstairs is the owner's living quarters. The embalming room is sometimes in a separate building, converted garage behind the house or located in the basement. But Florida homes are not built with basements. You can't dig more than a foot down before you hit water. Thanks to Ruby too for her assistance and finding that eerie room. Great tour. ❤
Some older houses in Florida have basements, although most of Florida's oldest cities and towns are located in parts of the state that have high elevations and lower water tables.
Hey Kappy and Ruby! Wow. What a magnificent house. Not on board with the whole funeral parlor thing. Probably some bad juju in there. The clothes in the boxes were creepy as well. Glad to see all the details in that place. Thanks for showing all the areas! Stay safe and "light a candle". Lol. ✌️
You're right. My Grandmother was born in 1900 in the deep South and she would often tell me of how years ago when someone passed away they would have to keep the bodies on display in the house. I don't think they had funeral homes back then. Shortly they would bury them at the Cemetary.
What a grand old house!! How sad it’s not being cared for! It always makes me sick when I see everything painted over all the once beautiful woodwork! It would take so much money to restore to the original house! Thank you Kappy for showing this!! ❤
Kappy; Just how is it that you end up finding such amazing homes & buildings? This funeral home is amazing! Sad to think of the customer records that look like they still could be lying around. It still blows my mind how some people just get up & walk away from a life, leaving everything behind. Thank you for filming these places.
Just a lot of research and traveling around!! So many beautiful old places all up and down the east coast and southwest! Thank you very much for watching!! :)
Can only imagine what the home looked like without all of the paint covering the woodwork. Wonderful find, Kappy! And, it’s great to see Ruby again. Hi Ruby!
It would cost a boatload of money… but would be sooo very worth it to restore this grand old dame into the once gorgeous & pristine lady, that she once was!!! The painted original doors, windows, wainscoting, banisters need to be stripped of the layers of paint to the beautiful original hardwood that they once were & have a beautiful stain applied to protect the wood! The stained glass was phenomenal!!! My favorite by far!!! The chandeliers were original from the looks of it!!! Sooo very sad to see this old beauty be destroyed by the elements 😞😰😢 I’m sooo very glad to see that you had Ruby with you on this explore 👍 Thank you Kappy, for another wonderful explore!!! I truly loved it ❤️💕♥️
I was a beautician for 20 years and we used that grand finale hairspray on her clients when we was done with their hair because that was the last step in fixing their hair.... Grand finale was an excellent hairspray back in the day. And I went to some mortuaries to pick some ladies hair that we used to do while they were alive...
She was the essence of Grand when she was built! Unfortunate, how it always seems grandeur is not sustainable in human society. Her very being characterized and projected the wealth and comfort of a successful family and did a fine job of it! Too bad, such things aren't valued in her future purposes. She still houses her spirits and her former grandeur isn't easily hidden, even as it was repurposed. Imagine life in her in her early 'flower' days, with those fireplaces, the turret, that stained glass... she was a looker!
Hi Kappy and Ruby. I am in love with all that stained glass. I'd bet that house was a real showplace back in the day. With those stairs and the rooms. Those fireplaces also. Thank you for taking us along. Awesome place.
Very cool! I am always intrigued by abandoned funeral homes, but I'm glad it's not me going in to them! I'm a big chicken! I love that ornate furniture on the main floor. That was pretty ironic...Grande Finale! Beautiful outro pix/video, as always! Thanks Kappy & Ruby!
Wow beautiful home! Someone is doing the landscaping. That was really great Kappy! It was freaky in embalming room and the hair spray was hysterical, perfect name! Hey 2 Ruby! U guys b careful out there, stay safe!
Your videos have had such a huge influence in my life. I’m not overstating it. Your videos started me thinking about all my “stuff”. Without children to bequeath my treasures (valuable or not), I didn’t want to leave the things to an estate sale when the time comes. So, I simply started with two lists-one list are things just stored away, and the other list are things I want to bequeath. The things to be bequeathed caused me to really think about whether their value would be appreciated with sentimental value to those family members who receive those things. Perhaps those things would not be valued and just become part of an Estate Sale upon my passing. So I now have these two lists which have changed after pondering the items’ value including sentimental value and $$$ value. But that was just the start. I then researched selling some of the things via a garage sale. Well, that idea came to a swift end….too much effort and no monetary value, all things considered. So that lead me into researching selling online, which turned into a major project. Jewelry values, Marketplace, Craigslist, local FB groups, eBay, Etsy, Mercari, Poshmark…just to name a FEW! This lead to “Analysis Paralysis” (Google it). After so many steps all along the descent into the “rabbit hole”, I am ready to take action with my stuff; and finding better homes for all those items which would, otherwise, never see the light of day. Thank you for helping me care about my stuff, helping some of it find a new owner who will find value in it, and family members who will be the next caretaker of those heirloom items; some of which began with my great grandmother.
I can totally relate to your musings. Seeing the stuff of those before us, considered no better than trash and Really not valued as opposed to when it's our things, stamped by the investment of our own personal experiences and what that means to us in living memories... it all suddenly rewrites the meaning of 'having stuff.' Thank goodness for collectors when even the kin has no interest in the 'old stuff' of their heritage.
Love your comment! It is sad but true can’t take it with you when you go! Glad to hear my videos could help in some way! Much appreciated for the kind words and watching! :)
I love the look of this place. Reminds me of a friend's home growing up. Rooms were no where near the size of the ones in this place though. A lot of pretty woodwork. And I kind of liked that green wallpaper. Glad to see a glimpse of Miss Ruby! Tell her I love it when she goes with you. After all, she's the one to push you to find the embalming room. You need her Mr Kappy! Lol, you 2 are a sweet couple. Another great one Mr Kappy! Thanks for taking me along!
This home is beautiful love the woodwork but I’m sure it was something back in the day. Very nice ending . Good seeing Ruby thank you for sharing have a great day.
This was interesting...as all your videos are. These homes were built with such beautiful architecture and attention to detail. Loved all the homes you showed at the end too. I'm glad this bit of history is still preserved.
What a beautiful home she must have been back in the day. All that wood unpainted must have been beautiful with the stained glass. I wonder which room downstairs would have been the original kitchen, and I wonder if they took out a wall for the chapel or if it was that long originally. So sad to see a lot of the chimneys just covered over, but it was exciting to see some of the tiling was still there in the upstairs. Awesome!
Hello from the Northeast… Always look forward to watching your videos on Sunday mornings. You do a great job out there! Anybody notice the upside down hardware on the door upstairs? Have a great day and thanks again 15:14
Nice looking building. Liked all the fireplaces, some nice, older style furniture left behind that still looked usable. Paint job upstairs was pretty awful. Bet it was a very nice funeral home in its day. Nice to see Ruby with you again. Thanks, Kappy
Grande Finale 🤦🏻♀️😂. I There was even dandruff shampoo😬Seriously, I was trying to picture the beautiful house this once was, but being brought up going to wakes/funerals, this just flooded my mind with memories. A friend from school’s Dad was a mortician & they lived above just like this. It always smelled weird(embalming fluid). I’m so happy my Dad didn’t do this for a living 🤓that newel post was so tall. I would have loved to see the original layout. Thanks. Stay safe guys
Happy you are now my favorite explorer. I loved how you showed the old glass knobs and chandeliers. I loved that green tile on the fireplace.. all the pictures and murals.
This house has the spooky vibe ..grand in some spots..on the other hand its decay and its past...brings out the vibe....this home is big and still after all its years shows a lot of its grand qualities...the stair case and its wood work...stained glass..fireplaces...with a twist of the unusual... .its funny how a houses mood its set by the past people that lived in it. Like a house that has had a murder take place in it...the house is known for the murder ..becomes a vibe of being creepy..same as like this house...the people profession..set the creepy mood...Ruby is a great addition to your videos ..She solves the mysteries of the house..carries a interest..seems to enjoy doing the videos with you..thank you kappy for a new twist and enjoyable video
That place must have been so grand back when it was built. It looked like it was pretty sound, but for all of the water damage. Loved the staircase and chandeliers and the embalming room was creepy!! Thanks for sharing this explore, and Hi Ruby!! Stay safe and Peace, Kim ~
Hi Kappy and Ruby, What a grand house with a creepy vibe. Hopefully, before it’s demolished, the stained glass windows and doors, light fixtures, can be recycled instead of destroyed. Great job Kappy and Ruby!
@elizabethgibbens I was thinking the same thing, there are salvage companies you can pay to come and take stuff if you don't want to do it. Then they sell the stuff. @Blackdogsalvage is in the Carolinas I think and they do this. I saw them on a show years ago, I think on HGTV. The glass knobs are antiques, the stained glass which is not made anymore in the USA supposedly. Ugh The metal could all be recycled and melted down for new stuff if it can't be sold
I enjoy your videos very much . Very professional. It's nice to see Ruby in a few frames here and there . She sure has a pleasant voice , and I enjoy hearing her talk .
7:18 …. My husband and I love your videos!! The reason I timestamped my comment is because anytime we watch any other explorer who doesn’t dare to walk on stairs or questionable flooring we always say, “Kappy would have chanced it for his viewers”…lol.
My husband and I lived in a house in Albany Kentucky that was haunted. We lived there for a year and moved back to Oklahoma. We then moved to Welch Oklahoma and lived in a house that was across the street from the funeral home. They house was more haunted than the one in Kentucky. The door knobs would turn on there own and pull and close on their own. Plus the light bulb in the bathroom would come on even with the bulb almost all the way screwed out. It would go off while you were bathing. We moved really fast out of that house. Then we bought a house in Vinita Oklahoma that had one spirit in it and we just lived with it for four years. Sold it and now we have been living in the country and have been here for thirty years. We have spirits here too. They have followed me all my life. I don't get worried anymore. I guess I got used to it. I would love to live in this house if I were young again. Great video!
I don’t know which of us is happier when there is no old dank icky basement - you or me,Kappy!😂 Loved all the woodwork and fire places. The stairs were odd. Would have loved seeing it as it was originally built. I don’t find death and the process of preparing a body for loved ones to say goodbye creepy or icky but I must say that was the quietist funeral home ever. So sad it’s being torn down. Thank you for another grand find!
Beautiful house i love how the fireplaces are in the corners of the rooms and such big rooms and windows are beautiful especially the stain glass in the windows. You teasing Ruby asking her does she want to lay on the table lol great find both i can't say I seen one like this before well done both.
Hey Ruby and Kappy! I love your video's. I wish you would let us see what you look like. You seem like such a nice respectiful guy. I love the way you are protective of Ruby too. I also love Victorian architecture... the craftmanship of these places are spectular. Thanks you guys.
Such a stunning home! But you lost me at “ once was used as a Funeral Home “. Hahahahahaha! I can’t be the only one getting “ GET OUT” vibes. Lol! Oh laaaaaawd! You just walking through makes my anxiety go up for you. Lol! It’s a beautiful find Kappy. Please stay safe! 😊
I can remember my great great grandma being on display in my grandma's living room..This was in January of 1971 and I was 4 years old..That was the first time me and my cousins had seen someone deceased..After the first intial shock we started to dare each other to touch her hand or something silly that little kids would do .I doubt this is common practice today but apparently it happened alot back in the day ..Awesome video
Excellent video. Early in your tour, there were some men's clothes displayed in open boxes. Those may have been clothes for family members to pick out for the decreased - just a guess. At about 20:03 into the tour, you were in a room that was used to display various coffins for sale. When my brother died in 1974, we were shown into a room and given the hard sell to buy the fanciest (aka most expensive) coffin. Thankfully, my father didn't fall for the scam. Of course there's a "creep" factor in a funeral home due to the nature of the business, but you did a nice job with this old home.
Love your channel! What a wonderful house, the machine that you didn’t know what was is an embalming machine (and they are very expensive) which is odd that it was left
This house is spectacular,in pretty good shape,I'd buy it in a minute and upgrade it,love Victorian houses, maybe the embalming room was a kitchen at one time,I don't remember seeing a kitchen in the first floor, great find, thanks kappy!!💯😎
The funeral home we have used for my in laws is oddly enough now a daycare center.. it was built similar to this one but not quite so grand no turrets. Anna In Ohio
That was once a very lovely home and it also was a nice funeral home. Just remember the dead can’t hurt you, it’s the living you need to worry about. It was a little disappointing that there really wasn’t access to the tower but that seems to be the norm. If I had a tower I would want to be able to get in it. Good job on finding the embalming room, you knew there had to be one. Something else you should have found is the cooler. There had to be a refrigerated room there off of the embalming room. There was a door in the wall. Even with embalming you would need to keep the bodies cold until time for the viewing and service, especially in areas that are quite hot. I’m not sure if it would have drawers like the morgues you see on TV or just shelves or an area to park the gurneys. A girl I worked with years ago said she wanted to work at a funeral home, doing hair and makeup. She was extremely pretty and we all asked her why she wanted to do that. She told us it was because the customers wouldn’t be yelling at her and she hated when they did that. They all assumed she was just an airhead and treated her like she was stupid. Sad that she would feel that that was the only way to get treated right.
Pretty old grand mansion at one time, can't say I would live there after it being a funeral home though. lol I did like the stain glass windows, those ceiling to floor drapes dividing the rooms, and the colorful tiles on the upstairs fire places. Pretty extreme wall paper though. Thanks for sharing and have a great day
I'm a physician, not a mortician, but I think the equipment you jokingly wondered if it was for brains, is the pump that pumps out blood as it replaces it with embalming fluid. It has to be done with limited pressure so as not to rupture arteries/veins. Anyway, that was a beautiful house and a very interesting tour.
Hello, Kappy! This is a beautiful old house, but I wouldn't spend the night there! I still get the creeps thinking about that door that closed on its own that time. That dog howling does not make me feel one bit better! Sheesh! Hello, Ruby Girl! Kappy promised that you'd be making an appearance! You make me happy, with your courageous spirit and curious nature! You are named correctly, for you are a gem! It's impossible to know what the first floor of this house looked like originally. The house's interior has been altered drastically to accommodate the funeral home. I'll bet the folks who built this place would turn over in their graves (pun intended) to see what happened to their home. At least vandals haven't torn the place up or sprayed vulgarities all over the place. I hope they don't ever find this house. Clearly, the roof is failing or maybe the pipes are leaking. At any rate, the place is really suffering from being left alone. That stained glass surrounding the window is pretty, though. Hopefully someone will take out the furnishings, the pictures and the pretty windows before it is torn down. The millwork is well worth saving, too. The upstairs has definitely been altered, but not so much that the original shape of the rooms can't be at least guessed at. The fireplaces and their surrounds are lovely, definitely accurate period pieces. It does appear that people have been staying in here. Homeless folks rarely miss the chance to inhabit unguarded, unprotected dwelling places. Better them than me on this house. I'd rather sleep in a tree! That is a pretty mural on the wall. I'll bet this room is where they showcased the different caskets they had. That would make sense to have all those racks. Ruby could get a job on any police force! She's an amazing detective! I wouldn't have been as determined to find a place as gruesome as this! Just to think that one day, we will all lie on a table like that, eeek! I prefer cremation! It's sad, though, to think about the children and young people whose bodies were laid on that table, the empty shells of the spirits who had left for their final destination. It's creepy, but more sad than anything. Oh, there's that dog or whatever it's, howling again! It just adds to the eerie feeling that envelops that once proud home. It's a crying shame that this house is destined to be destroyed! I know that not every house can be saved, but it seems that one which is basically structurally sound could be preserved. Thanks for the explore, kids! You two are a great team! With Kappy at the helm and Ruby running reconnaissance, there's no way you could go wrong! Good on you both! I'm looking forward to some more interesting explores, so just keep on finding amazing houses for us, Kappy, but be safe! Take the lovely Ruby Girl along and you'll be alright! Love to you both from the Great Smoky Mountains!
I am most impressed with how well the furniture has held up in those conditions. Depending on how close to the coast this is, will depend on basements. The closer you are to water, you will not have a basement b/c of the water table.
Good job, Ruby, for finding the embalming room. Interesting to you, creepy to me! I could never have that job lol. That would have been a fun place to live before it became a funeral parlor though. The stained glass was pretty and I’ve never seen a double sided fireplace before. Good to see you, Ruby!
Great video! The large blue metal thing in the embalming room is a mechanical lift to pick the bodies up to do things like transfer them from the table into the casket
I love your videos and the care you take to show their qualities, even though bored vandals have visited them. I don't get the thrill of painting weird things and nasty wording. How i wish many of your houses you document would or could be saved. They have space to add new family histories and memories. These words from a certified antique that loves history ❤🤗
@@urbanexploringwithkappy1773 I love old things, especially houses. Each of your videos I look at their condition and wish I was a millionaire and could fix them an live there.

I LOVE that colored glass squares that ya sometimes see in that era of home. Omg. Had a cream colored couch EXACTLY LIKE THAT in 1994, sold it at an auction got $100 bucks! It’s so quiet because that carpet probably absorbs the sound! Makes me wonder what the hardwood floors look like
The empty chairs in the great room seemed as if they were just waiting to be filled! Also the boxes of clothes seemed spooky as well. This whole place had me on the edge.
Creepy home even in the daytime. Lovely old house with all the wood, fireplaces and staircases. Gross fridge as usual. Hi to Ruby and a big thanks for finding that room. Creepy.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😂😂
Kappy & Ruby, Thank you for the tour. I wanted to let you know that there were lots of orbs flying around in the parlor room on your video. Did you see them as well? How sad, but interesting to see an abandoned funeral home that once was a beautiful jewel, only to become a decrepitated cryptic ruins.
I saw two videos of a gentleman who does free yard transformations mow the grass and trim around this building. After he did it the first time, he was driving past the property and noticed it again needed work, so he transformed it again. He never entered the property, so I can’t wait to see the inside!
Kappy, I wish I would have seen this video, Just as you were showing, When ever you go into a Home where the dead have been, You should always say a Prayer, so you don't get attached, By a spirit, asking them to not follow you home and that they have to stay there, I know this sounds funny, But it is true, Just like when ever you go to a funeral, Never go straight home, Take a ride to throw them off, Sometimes they do come home with People , I,m sure a lot of dead have come and gone though that house, Just ask god to Protect you and your Family, GOD Bless

Very interesting house! i have no idea how old you are but you are an old soul, with such an appreciation of history. Great job Kappy! and Ruby!
Too kind of you to say! I’m actually about to be 27! Thank you for watching! :)
Kappy; Just how is it that you end up finding such amazing homes & buildings? This funeral home is amazing! Sad to think of the customer records that look like they still could be lying around. It still blows my mind how some people just get up & walk away from a life, leaving everything behind. Thank you for filming these places.
Exactly what I was thinking!
Hi Ruby!
She has been gone a while but will be in a few more upcoming videos as well! Thanks for watching!! :)
Although Queen Anne Victorian houses tend to be painted (often in unorthodox colors) when they have wooden siding.
She was palatial in her prime, but alas, palaces are no longer financially sustainable.
really cool video!! Thanks.... Only 7 1/2 mins in, and I've seen several orbs flitting around :D
Thank you for watching!! :)
Funeral homes are always eerie to me great 👍 video thanks
This home is beautiful love the woodwork but I’m sure it was something back in the day. Very nice ending . Good seeing Ruby thank you for sharing have a great day.
Such a stately looking house, I wish someone would save it.
Agreed! Thank you for watching! :)
I hope someone rescues that beautiful old home soon!
Way too late.
Me too! Thank you for watching! :)
That house is a great little mansion.
This was interesting...as all your videos are. These homes were built with such beautiful architecture and attention to detail. Loved all the homes you showed at the end too. I'm glad this bit of history is still preserved.
Kappy it's always charming to hear your take on the homes you view. You seem to appreciate the intrinsic value of vintage homes.
Awesome!
What a beautiful house! Love it! It's a shame it's going to be torn down! Thanks again, Kappy and Ruby for sharing with us!
Wish it would be saved! & Thank you very much for watching!! :)
Love this explore thanks for letting me tag along
Hello from the Northeast… Always look forward to watching your videos on Sunday mornings. You do a great job out there! Anybody notice the upside down hardware on the door upstairs? Have a great day and thanks again 15:14
In the embalming room, that machine you wondered about was for taking blood out and putting embalming fluid in.
Nice looking building. Liked all the fireplaces, some nice, older style furniture left behind that still looked usable. Paint job upstairs was pretty awful. Bet it was a very nice funeral home in its day. Nice to see Ruby with you again. Thanks, Kappy
She will be in a few more upcoming videos! Stay tuned! Thank you very much for watching! :)
That had to of been an immaculate home at one time. So so beautiful
Kappy, right before you said I have an eerie feeling, there was an orb flying by 7:12 👻. Second floor closet/bathroom is a first for me 😁 20:38 orb
Thank you for the kind words and watching! Much appreciated!! :)
@@camis.1347 Hi Camis.,I wonder if these salvage people do go into these old places, with permission, to salvage old pieces.
@@elizabethgibbens yes they do
@@camis.1347 That’s wonderful. Have a good evening.
I’m right there with you as I find the embalming room and it’s contents fascinating 👍 Thank you Ruby for finding it 😊
I don’t know which of us is happier when there is no old dank icky basement - you or me,Kappy!😂
Loved all the woodwork and fire places. The stairs were odd. Would have loved seeing it as it was originally built.
I don’t find death and the process of preparing a body for loved ones to say goodbye creepy or icky but I must say that was the quietist funeral home ever. So sad it’s being torn down.
Thank you for another grand find!
Wow! Great video ! It's ashame its crumbling down .
Can see me and ruby on my Instagram kapppy! Thank you very much for the kind words and watching! :)
I couldn't agree with You more, Kappy & Ruby are the Best !! And I have Loved their pics to explore 👍
What a beautiful old home. I hope someone steps in and saves it. I love the stained glass, and I bet the woodwork was lovely when it was new!
I love the Grand Finale hairspray! Lol
My funeral director friend had an awesome sense of humor like that. You need to when working in this field!
Yes , the grand finale hairspray 😂
Thanks for watching! Much appreciated!! :)
Cool video! Thank you from Florida! Would love to see you film more from this part of the South..😊
Great funeral home...and a wonderful video. Your dark humor in reaction to things in the embalming room is hilarious!
Lol glad you enjoyed!!😅 Thank you for watching!! :)
Nicely done Kappy and Ruby
Nice find.. good to see you out and about Ruth you need to come along more..
Great explore. Definitely creepy. Not as vandalized as some places.
Much luv
Carry on
And hello Ruby! Glad to see you again!
Thanx Ruby for your determination! Great vid Kappy.
True! Thank you for watching! :)
Very cool. Thank you Kappy and Ruby!
Great explore. Interesting.
Must have been a beautiful home @ one time.
Much luv to u & Ruby
Carry on
Stay safe
Thanks Kappy and Ruby. This was really an interesting tour.
Thank you for watching! :)
Funeral homes are creepy when their not abandoned! I bet the creep factor multiplied on this empty one! Very cool explore!
Definitely was an added spooky factor! Very interesting tho still! Thank you for watching! :)
Funeral homes are meant to be creepy, they're full of death.
😊Ruby is through on her explorations! Hey Ruby!
Yes she is haha! Thank you very much for watching! :)
Love your channel! What a wonderful house, the machine that you didn’t know what was is an embalming machine (and they are very expensive) which is odd that it was left
I love it. This house is beyond stunning. I love it even more. Knowing at one time was a funeral home. I love love love it.
Same here! Such a beautiful house! Thank you for watching! :)
Agreed! The only kitchen I saw was the one on the second floor! thank you very much for watching!! :)
Being in the south at May never had a kitchen in the house. But the house isn’t that old so I don’t know.
Glad to see Ruby back 😊 everytime you show wallpaper i think of her reaction to it
That was once a very lovely home and it also was a nice funeral home.
My aunt was a hairstylist for the dead all her life. She made a nice living.
How unique (and eerie) this old house is! At least it had a second life and some original features weren’t destroyed by uncaring renters!
Pretty old grand mansion at one time, can't say I would live there after it being a funeral home though. lol I did like the stain glass windows, those ceiling to floor drapes dividing the rooms, and the colorful tiles on the upstairs fire places. Pretty extreme wall paper though. Thanks for sharing and have a great day
RedruM! That was extraordinary- thanks to Ruby for finding the embalming room 💚
Thanks for the video. The white base tank, with glass top is the arterial embalming machine. The blue item is a lift.
Thank you very much for watching! Was a bit eerie! :)
Great video! The large blue metal thing in the embalming room is a mechanical lift to pick the bodies up to do things like transfer them from the table into the casket
Thank you!! Glad you enjoyed! Much appreciated for sharing the information, I had no idea! How neat!
You would think they would have sold what they could and got rid of the rest, it still looks in pretty good shape.
Aw so kind of you to say!! Thank you very much for that and watching! Glad you enjoy the houses!! :)
@@urbanexploringwithkappy1773 I love old things, especially houses. Each of your videos I look at their condition and wish I was a millionaire and could fix them an live there.
I love everything painted in those loud, subtropical Florida colors! Like that's going to cheer things up a bit 🤣🤣 Young Kappy, thank you so much for the new adventures and exploration! I am so glad to see you took someone along with you! I had a great aunt on one side and a grandmother on the other, both named Ruby! It's a lovely name! It'll always be safer if Miss Ruby is with you! ❤
Both of you stay safe! Can't wait for another Abandoned Real Estate Adventure! (Acronym AREA!) Lol!
Too kind of you to say thank you! Funny point on the paint! Thank you very much for watching!! I like that acronym! Very Fitting!😅
This is not in Florida, its in South Carolina.
Kappy & Ruby,
Thank you for the tour. I wanted to let you know that there were lots of orbs flying around in the parlor room on your video. Did you see them as well? How sad, but interesting to see an abandoned funeral home that once was a beautiful jewel, only to become a decrepitated cryptic ruins.
@tammyleys8858 bugs and dust!
I saw two videos of a gentleman who does free yard transformations mow the grass and trim around this building. After he did it the first time, he was driving past the property and noticed it again needed work, so he transformed it again. He never entered the property, so I can’t wait to see the inside!
Dude... I kept expecting to see Zak Bagans with Ghost Adventures pop up in a room with you.😆😆🤣👻👻
Lol that would be the day!😂 thank you for watching! :)
The big empty room with the Charleston mural was the room where you pick out coffins . They have several usually to choose from.
BEAUTIFUL HOME !! ,LOVE THE CURTAINS !!!!
Oh my this is my dream home 🏡 as i serious Goth guy and i drive a hearse as my daily driver thanks for finding this treasure 👻👻👍👍 cheers Stephen 🤠✌️🍀
Absolutely beautiful!!! Never have seen a two sided fireplace!!😳😳😳
Same here thank you for watching!! :)
They went and covered all the floors. It was grand in its original state. Thanks, that was fun!
This is my favorite explore yet.
wow kappy amazing this was a beautiful house/ funeral home im not much on funeral homes but i understand there purposes kind of creepy good to see ruby along with ya thanks man peace out
Thank you very much for watching!! :)
Ruby great work on embalming room😊
Oh goody! Did I EVER NEED THIS BREAK TODAY!! I’ve had kind of a shitty day of sorts, so I know your video will be a GREAT DISTRACTION!!!!
Cool house, thanks Ruby 🌺
Very cool explore❤
Thank you for watching!! :)
