Jonathan Warr, Chairman of the IFRA-IOFI Sustainability Committee, reviewed 2024’s progress, including expanding EcoVadis adoption, advancing carbon footprint reduction goals, and addressing deforestation with the European Deforestation Regulation (EUDR). Key tools like the Green Chemistry Compass were developed to enhance sustainability practices across companies. Regional webinars tackled carbon footprinting and new reporting requirements like the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD). Looking ahead, the committee will refine priorities for 2025, focusing on responsible sourcing, environmental impact, and strengthening global sustainability efforts.
