@@kenbocole1460 I have seen The Boys. It's absolutely brilliant but I haven't finished Invincible yet. I knly got a couple of his references from the MK1 stuff. Homelander just becomes more and more uncontrollably unhinged as the seasons progress

7:14 Oh wow, I haven't seen that one yet. That's actually pretty clever, haha. That's a reference to Ashrah's voice actress, Susan Eisenberg, also voicing Wonder Woman in a lot of animated DC stuff, most famously the Justice League shows and Injustice 1 and 2. This is her first character she voices in MK, I believe.
MK vs DC had Wonder Woman wield Ashrah's weapon at one point, so that's why they got Susan here.
@@phillipjarvis5754 Yes, that's why. Not because Susan Eisenberg is a seasoned voice actress and they casted her because she has a fantastic and fitting voice for Ashrah, but because the character she did not voice in MKvDC had a weapon the character she voices has now.

Jen's Body is a good example; it's an actor's allusion, but the fact that Kung Lao specifically makes it is a reference to the Great Kung Lao's lover in a cartoon.

One could argue that "here" refers to Johnny Cage, in a roundabout way of saying that his absence makes him the Deadpool of the game. Neither of these were my reasoning.
My wording was to avoid claims that she was only hired for this ("here" meaning the character rather than the game), and I have a history of not wording my thoughts properly due to these details complicating the matter.
I was specifically thinking that the Ashrah connection is why the line was said at all.
The "wonder woman" reference johnny did with ashrah is because mk1 voice actress also voiced wonder woman in animated justice league cartoon as well as both the injustice games
They got the Legend himself J.K. Simmons Himself back at it again voicing Omni-Man, and he won't stop until he gets those Pictures of SPIDER-MAN

I always found Johnny Cage's intros hilarious. Bro literally said "İf I cannot take one of the daughters, I'll take their mom." By the way when he said you are truly a wonder, woman to Ashrah got me because she is voicing by Susan Eisenberg who voices Wonder Woman in various cartoons,animated movies and in İnjustice series.

It seems interesting that they never caught “Tremor” being with Omni-Man as he looks so good in MK2 outfit but very interesting that we get him with Omni. I kinda thought we be getting Invincible to be with his father as a Kameo Fighter 😅
@@blackdarkness6798 well he did debut during MK2 as a secret fighter, MK9 on PSP version and a full playable character in MKX. so he seems to be lesser known character at times

I haven't seen this show but it still looks really cool! I watched Peacemaker for the first time learning he'd be DLC and I love the show now, so maybe one day I'll watch these other shows. I can't wait to see Peacemaker's gameplay now!

Omiman is a Viltramite meaning he's bred for war. he literally fights constantly never stops. but even he has weakness somewhere. Homelander is just a clone that was fast grown in weeks that has mental instability. trust me homelander doesn't have the fortitude to handle omiman and he knows it. Viltramites are bred for conquering and constant war. they can go into the vacuum of space easily and their natural monstrous strength comes from constant warfare forcing their bodies to compensate. they have a incredibly fast recovery rate and can regenerate limbs given some time. Mark though half Viltramite can heal from major wounds in two days while he was taking a beating from his dad. Omiman took less that a day to get back into fighting shape. also Viltramites have pretty much seen it all in war and you really can't surprise them with too much.

If all that is true it will make doing fatalities on him all the more delicious and cathartic! Can't wait for my new punching bag!

I’m glad that JK Simmons reprised his role as Omni-Man for MK1, he is the guest character that my friend was waiting for on MK1 and so as Homelander (I’m not sure if Anthony Starr will reprised his role in this game). And I like the way there are some cool references from Invincible as well, especially the train one I appreciated that. In the flirty intros, I never know Raiden has a crush on Kitana 😅 other than Johnny Cage.

There really is a minimalist violence to Omniman that isn't present in the other fighters.
Not sure about minimalist. He can be pretty brutal. But he does tend to do so without exerting him self much. Since, well, he doesn't really need to. Most of the time, the stuff he's up against is trivial, so there's little reason to try harder.

Personally not a fan of Omni-Man, so I'm really hoping his gameplay impresses me. So far its underwheling, but at the bare minimum, I hope his fans are happy.
