Aavega 150M, Pneumatic Line Thrower:
The Aavega 150M Pneumatic Line Thrower is a product for passing the messenger line Ship to Ship during Replenishment at Sea (RAS)/Fuelling at Sea (FAS) OR Ship to Jetty.
It is hassle-free as it has no expiry date, meaning it stays with the vessel for the lifetime of the ship.
It is not dangerous goods, so it can be shipped globally by air.
The set takes approximately the same space as a complete pyrotechnical set.
When the PLT air Cylinder is filled, the air lasts for at least five years.
The AAVEGA 150M PLT Launching Unit works on 200 bars of air pressure and is refilled by using a high-pressure air compressor.
It can be used again immediately after being refilled with compressed air. Since the PLT Launching Unit works on compressed air, it does not have an expiry date and is not considered as dangerous goods.
The PLT Projectile is specially made to work with the PLT Solas Launching Unit and the PLT Solas Launching Tube. It has 140 to 150 meters of pre-installed 3.2mm Nylon Line. The Line has a breaking strength of 2000 N and the projectile and line floats.
When the line is dry and clean, the launching distance is between 130-150 meters.
It can be used for ship-to-ship, Ship-to-shore, Ship-to-water, high building and mountain stream rescue. You can adjust the angle and hit the target accurately.
Safety for safer operations:
The Apparatus has several safety features that will prevent any danger to the user. A reduction valve will regulate the air pressure to the ideal working pressure 75 bars. A fail-to-close regulator will shut down the unit if something is wrong, and the unit cannot be used. It is dimensioned to hold extreme pressure, 450 bars. There are no backfire gases such as those found with propulsion-driven projectiles.

The line-throwing device is specifically designed to deploy a line Inaccessible point in maritime environments and land-based, providing safe and time-saving exercise.
The line thrower is especially useful for RAS Fuelling, towing, entering towards the jetty, and rescue where a light or heavy line (diameter 2 mm, 3 mm or 5mm) is required or long distances must be breached. Operational lines can be established with ease for a variety of applications including high or low-angle, construction projects, and ship-to-ship line deployment, ship-to-land or land-to-ship deployment.
The system utilizes air-thrust technology and is non-pyrotechnic, reusable and refillable.
Apparatus housings are made from lightweight Aluminum alloy and projectile injection- -moulded from polycarbonate material for durability and high impact resistance.
A pressure relief valve prevents unsafe pressure build-up that could result from exposure to extreme heat.
The line thrower has come with pivot support. A pivot support is standard for greater accuracy of deployment and shall serves as a convenient carry handle in the collapsed position.
