Insomnium became one of my all-time favorite bands after hearing Shadows of the Dying Sun in its entirety, and their sibling band Omnium Gatherum (Markus Vanhala plays and writes in both bands) is easily my favorite melodeath band fullstop. "Song Of The Dusk" blew me away on the first listen and continues to blow me away with every listen since. Insomnium are unrivaled for sheer musicality in the realm of melodeath, and I look forward to their future work!

Discovered you guys shortly before Shadows Of The Dying Sun was released in the U.S. My discovery song was Killjoy on Above the Weeping World. You guys instantly became my favorite band. Loved seeing you guys come out to North Carolina(2023) as I had been lying in wait for a while to get the chance to see you guys live where I also took the opportunity to purchase Winter's Gate. As far as my comment about this video, when I played Winter's Gate both when it was released on Spotify and when I purchased the CD myself I could tell that the guys of Insomnium put a ton, and I mean A TON of hard work into the music they put out. Every album has been music to my ears (no pun intended) since I discovered them in 2014. Keep doing what you guys do! Love from North Carolina! \m/

Awesome timing - I was just sitting in the forest, Listening to the Song of the dusk and Godforsaken, enjoying the last rays of sunlight and writing down some verses, too (not really songwriting, I‘m far from actual poetry, but still). Then I watched this interview of you guys. I appreciate those kind of ‚background‘ information videos and getting to know a bit more of what and how you guys are evolving :) cheers!
