I don't know of one example where senior management doesn't have the right to make adjustments. It's foolish and immature to pick up your marbles and go home. If Poles quits because of that, it shows his true character and, good luck in finding the next job.
Let ur GM do his job or fire him !! If he has no power, he should resign ! Kap has it right...if he's ur GM, let him do his job ! If not, get rid of him.
Hood seems to be the only media person that has incorporated some common sense in this whole subject. Every other media person is speaking from their scarred heart and not their brain
If Poles isn't given the opportunity to pick his HC, then I would walk if I was Poles. The entire Bears organization knew the Bears were going through a rebuild and that they were going to lose a ton of games. The Bears cannot hold that against Poles since they knew that was the situation. Kevin Warren literally has no GM/HC/Playing experience in football. Kevin Warren is a Lawyer and an empty suit.
If the Bears kept their preseason offense, they could be having a season like the Vikings (who were also 7-10 last season). They went from playing 4 QBs in the preseason, passing 23.8 times a game, to playing their worst statistical preseason QB, and passing 33.5 times a game.
You can't say he hasn't found talent because the offensive line he found that left this year are doing great on other teams, it is coaching and scheme. That is what is killing our team
Could you imagine the optics to the rest of the NFL and other coaches/GM's if the Bears let Kevin Warren take the HC decision away from the GM? Its not like Kevin Warren has actually team building experience. Kevin Warren is a lawyer. Yeah good luck getting any real good GM/HC candidates come to the Bears. You'll be getting 3rd tier candidates.
6:57 The Bears' offensive line doesn't "stink." I looked at ESPN Analytics' pass block and run block win rates, and the Bears are 14th and 6th, respectively. Averaging those two, the Bears' offensive line are 12th.
Poles is the reason the bears were able to land Caleb in the first place. They need to let the GM do his job without interference from the ownership and the president
Thank you for saying this 😊. Warren's Job is to Ok the Pick and go tell George to open up the bank for... Belichick i would say. Guess he isn't in their final 4. 🤷🏻 Vrabel or Flores both are Belichick DC's. Both on the list. Ben Johnson which 🥴 Idk man, guy may be OC Eberflus 🤷🏻💯 and the 4th guy was Cincinnati's OC who doesn't even call plays which 😅 Pry who they end up with. Straight Bears pick. Bill Belichick has 6 SuperBowls. Vrabel didn't make playoffs consistently but didn't have a good QB, did put good OC in place tho. Flores and Poles being best friends should exclude him almost imo. Unless it's to be Belichick's DC. So.
@@knowledgeuntamed9177 Ben Johnson is the real deal. Commanding the best offense in the league for two years now. Nothing about eberflus’ defenses in Indianapolis was the best. Theres a reason the entire world was confused by the eberflus hire from day one.
Only if the rest of the leadership made him make all the decisions, which we KNOW was not the case. His only major fuckup is misevaluating members of the offensive line and Claypool. The rest is the ownership meddling.
Ok you haven’t been following along, he didn’t hire Flus, he was made to hire Flus per George McCasky based on Bill Polian liking Flus, McCasky loves Polian, it’s been all downhill from there…..now Poles not fixing the O-line is all on him, but this shit show is on George McCasky

Every GM has misses on every team, the question is does misses outweigh the hits? I would say Poles is right at 500. If you get rid of Poles the next GM would possibly blow up the team and set the team back another 2-3 years back.
Can we get the players to do their jobs though? Sports is always played by the guys in there. Tell them to take all that great practice energy and show it in an actual game, I'm a show me don't tell me, guy.
Poles impressed me from the beginning, but over time since, I've seen far too many mistakes in trades and evaluating talent. He shoulda come up with several "All Pro" players by now considering the high draft picks he's had the opportunity to make. He neglected building the team foundation at the cost of prioritizing WRs, and RBs. Both our lines are below average by NFL standards and no match for the other NFC North teams. Currently, this team is built to fail. Get a tough, strong minded HC who wants to concentrate on the fundamentals.
Well, if Poles and Warren are both knowledgeable football people then agreeing on the coach should be easy and the choice should be a slam dunk. Choose wisely. Hopefully your jobs depend on it.
You guys and us fans live in a different world than the owners. From the owners perspective there is nothing wrong with the Bears at the current time. Money is coming in, franchise value is going up, no one swears on camera - things are peachy from the owners perspective. Stop making waves for the honorable Halas family. When we go out and form a league then we can have a say - until then quit talking about the family's inheritance. Grandpa's kids have the right to ignore us. (Sarcasm)
With our GM being a former offensive lineman I was excited to see him fix this O-line. But he has missed on every single offensive lineman. The jury is still out on Wright, but he has regressed and his arrow is pointing down.
Not sure why week to week we have a new focus on who the fans/players or owners are pissed at. The season was lost weeks ago, and everyone blamed Eberflus. Justified or not it doesn't matter. The season isn't going to get better week to week after we fire the HC. Eberflus whether people like it or not is a better head coach then Thomas Brown. Once you fired Flus you basically screwed the defense which was the only thing keeping the Bears in games. Bears fandom/Organization reaps what it sows. Why beat down on Poles now as if he's the new reason why the team is sucking this season? We know the team is bad this season already and the coaches are getting replaced. Ryan Poles is the reason why our CAP situation/draft picks/Caleb Williams/Young talent is on this team. No one else gets credit for that. Poles tore the team down to the studs in his first season, everyone knew we were going to stink. The Bears went 3-14 then 7-10 which is great coming out of a full deep rebuild. Yes 2024 sucks and we should've won more games but we didn't and we fired the HC. Doesn't mean the bones of the team aren't 10x better then what it was.
